the real talk is that that doesnt happen in r and b because hip hop *unfortunately* sometimes has a certain mentality....like when's the last time you heard about mariah cappin at toni braxton? or brandy having a beef with monica and then jumping her outside of the awards show? i mean really....it's just not the same in the two genres
i hate this "Hip Hop is dead shit"!! There is hip hop for everyone out there! If ur into that political shit than go buy that artists album. There are artists out there who talk about all the ish u want to hear. BUT YOU DON'T BUY THEIR RECORDS. STOP LOOKING TOWARD THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA TO HAND FEED YOU MUSIC! Go Purchase a Mos Def album and shut up already.
hip hop isn't dead. hip hop on the radio is dead. its like the speculations of big foot... some say it exist but, it just hasn't been recorded so all we can do is speculate lol
Tell the reals JD!!! 1990-2003 was a creative time in hip hop. When Run DMC broke up, hip hop didn't collapse after they era. G-unit killed hip hop with all that beefing/hating on everybody. Not Run DMC. 50 polluted that NY swag! Hip hop died after Murder Inc.'s reign. But don't worry ya'll cuz they comin back. Murder Inc. gon save hip hop & NY. Listen to Brooklyn Newz - Love Me Like Im Dead Mixtape!! They taking it back to the essence. Oh & get Ja Rules: The Mirror album for free DL!!
People blame the young 1's but the truth is, the younger generation only copy what they see the older generation of hip hop do. Its the fault of the rappers who are rapping know for not passing their knowledge of Run DMC etc to the younger 1's, they left them to look after themselves. coz they young they're only gonna do what they see, but yet the older 1's are quick to criticise when they are looking at a reflection of themselves. The older generation of rappers now need to take responsibility.
How to fix hip hop? Stop rapping about hoes, clubs and drinking. Hip Hop has no substance anymore. I don't even listen to the radio because it all sounds the same to me. For the last couple of years I've been listening to who most would consider "nobodies" on the internet. There is so much talent out here devoid of this industry cookie-cut bullshit.
yo that was a ill topic yall talked about......real shit for us young 1s trying to get in the industry...i never been to any concerts of any sort in which yall talked about...im only 20 and my best error of hip hop was in the 90's listening to onyx, ll cool j, nas the jay-z's and dmx's... thats my error where i remember the anthems on hot 97 the streets was loving this.. with me being from where it all started i had to backtrack and get the essense of what is now today considered bulshit.
MAN!! I was searchin for this damn video all night. I KNEW there had to be an official "trey is an ocean" video. Now I can go my ass to bed.
As far as the hip hop thing....man. I'm 21 years old. I'm from L.A. the most real hip hop I got to see was 2pac and he was stolen from this earth when i was like what in the 4th grade or some shit? IDK where rap is going but I'm pretty sure I don't want to go with it. How to fix it? Niggas need a Renaissance in this whole game
....cause every body want to be different, cause if not niggas be like well he sound like this or he a fake who ever....example biggie & gurellia black....n simply nobody give a fuck bout u old cats regardless period. u old cats gettin pushed of to a old folks home. the only recognition yall be gettin now is at vh1 hip-hop honors.... LOL
I agree with you JD! Your comment was clear no need to explain. I remember seeing RUN DMC rock the adidas on American Bandstand that was the beginning of Oceans Swagger ...DO you AGREE? Just found Living the Life love all of you brothas...Stay positive and have a drink for your girl Wanna "Shawanna" in Los Angeles!
What up JD....luvin the blog homie. Regarding the hip hop question, the thing that would help fix it would be if the young relevant artist should do more songs with those that came before them. In rap, if you not hot, cats don't want to rock with you on a record. We gotta get MORE tracks like Lauren Hill did with Aretha Franklin in hip hop. But it has to be a consistent effort.
think artist development has disappeared. A manager may find a good artist with potential, but they dont take a year and create a good act. They dont give them a good foundation in owning their sound and creativity, then taking that sound and creativity and formulating a solid stage show with it. Many acts have the potential but once out on the music scene they burn out because the arent solid in there sound. So they next hot thing to come out they jump on it (EXAMPLE = STANKY LEG)
JD The problem is the media who don't educate in the story of HIP HOP so you don't know where you came from of course you'll become somethin' with no roots right?
JOHNTE!!!!!!! ur bizness got no air down there mein!!!so u got to wash ur hand....its stuffed int here for hours no fresh air and all that so it aint clean no mo u heard???so u gats to wash ur hand..lolllllllllllllllll xxx
Love the Ocean Boys!!!You are all very talented in your right.I look forward to seeing more from all of you.Love Yall.Keep Doing your thang. The style is untouchable...
I was just talking to my wife about this the other day. if I want to be a rock star Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones, etc.. Are still selling out arenas today. I can go there and be inspired to carry that on. I can't go to a LL Cool J, EPMD, Krs-One, Whodini concert because we don't support Rap legends like the Rock or even Country Fans do. So I see why the young rappers don't know or even respect the Hip Hop fore fathers.
Hip Hop is the culture that is past til present. So Hip Hop was Run DMC, Whodini, Das EFX, Kurtis Blow, Outkast Jay-z ,Biggie, Kane, Pac etc. Today Hip Hop is Soulja Boy, Bow Wow, Yung Joc, U-N-I, Cool Kids, Kid Cudi, Yeezy. But the problem is , is that rap isn't the same. These youngins today behind the mic, don't know how to rap and what to talk about it. They don't know the art of putting together a group of songs which told a story from track 1 til end.
I think hiphop is whatever young urban people deem popular there is no certain formula 4 it i grew up in the 80s run dmc was popular then solja boy is popular now its hiphop maybe not the way we know it but its hiphop
the way that u fix the rap problem is by: stoP signing wack ass artist...that's the first thing....give rappers who "can actually rap" a chance....thats how this problem can be solved...b/c a lot of rappers these days aint makin no damn hit records!!! they just need to stop....and let the reAL RAppERS do they thanG!!!!! problem solved!!!
i think part of the issue is the absence of concrete artist development. labels and managers spend more time now trying to cut out the middle steps and rush the artist to the masses rather than building a sustainable artist who can deliver in the booth AND give an outstanding performance on stage as well as hold the interest of the masses during an interview without sounding as if they dropped out of school in the 2nd grade. artist development back then was a must and it made a difference.
JD I get it It's like you have to know where you come from in order to know where your going! The first step is to realize there's a problem and CLEARLY there's a problem in hip hop and now we need to figure out how to fix it! I think you, Diddy and Snoop should host old school concerts and seminars to help the new generation! Let them know about Run DMC, Public Enemy, Big Daddy Kane, Naughty By Nature, Common, Public Enemy, Tribe Called Quest, Kurtis Blow, MC Lyte, Salt N Pepa, NWA!
trey songz, I know u just didn't put ur number up on this thing! how many girls or how much of a girl are you looking for anyway? cuz u know all type females who watch dis video want to check your gorgeous self! mm mm good!
Trey Songz is a great pick as a new member. I'm a true fan and believer that he is one of if not the best R&B singer out. Does Trey have a youtube channel?
I wouldn't say he's the best Mario has better vocals and range. Not taking anything away from him. But Mario, Usher, and J. Holiday all have good vocals. Comment on it.
definately feelin you on your rant jd...the knowledge of the history is absolutely absent... hearin the music, and seeing the videos, its almost these new cats are tyring to out cliche each other.... newayz big up to everything ur doin
For real, yall bullshittin' with it but I'm 'bout ready to see that cd cover with them Oceans Boys with a few others like Anthony Hamilton, Usher, Bow Wow, Nelly, Snoop and I got another one that brings inthe old school swag...Babyface as well as Tamia! That's Ocean 13!
had to watch dis vid again...lol...lovin trey of course...johnta lookin sexy....jd HOT ASS VERSE..i dig wat u sayin bout hip hop....lovin this vid...love my ocean boys
Hey JD it's me Bridget I'm glad ya'll added Trey us girls love him! We love you to Johnta what up B.Cox we haven't seen you in minute. I'm hooked on the Living the Life see ya soon JD somewhere in the A I'm sure!
i appreciate what u said about hip hop. i was fortunate 2 see run-dmc twice back in the day. when i saw them in detroit the show had timex social club, a very new beastie boys, llcoolj, and whodini. man that was a kick ass concert. that was real hip hop. i miss that shit. these new kats r kewl and all but that was authentic.
Jd how bout you come up with doc about hip hop so people can see how it started. U been in the game for the longest and saw run DMC and Naughty by nature. you can help retrack that statment by hooking up with Rev Run and Venny Trech and all them guys
its da same situation wit Blacks & being uniformed bout black history. u Have 2 teach it, i may not have been around 4 a MLK ,Malcolm X or Stokely charmichael speech Howeva, through a class in which i was able 2 see video, audio & text im able 2 understand da struggle, it may not be da same as actually bein there in person howeva, its better den nothin @ all. 2 fix hip hop a rigerous course on hip hop needs 2 be taught 2 artist. dat way dey will @least know...& Knowin is beautiful, lol
& what career can u make that kinda money without any type of schooling what so ever? ...if it was up to me i"ll make Drug Dealers take Drug dealers 101...lol
Trey Songz ;damn me &my brother was just saying off the strength off the last video that Trey should of got down, well well well this should be interesting.
Dude was lounging hard as hell in that chair "whassup" ahahaaa, good addition. Question; is he replacing Usher or is he still apart of the Ocean?
JD, Its important to remember that the powers that run the record companies eliminated artists like Public Enemy, De la Soul, Queen Latifah, Stetosonic, and many more that had our people on a self awareness movement. They got rid of them and endorsed NWA, and other groups to usher in so called "Gangsta Rap". AND HERE WE ARE TODAY'. WITH A LOST YOUTH!!
JD and Johnta, I wanna thank you for the video that you got up man... for real yo... i, myself, never went to a RUN-DMC concert, yet i feel the way you feel JD. I think that hip-hop went away when RUN-DMC split and Naughty by Nature went away. that was the foundation for hip hop and what made me love hip hop... Souja Boy and the "RINGTONE RAPPERS" of today are bullshit compared to the people that paved the way for the bullshitters to make bullshit. i wish there was a way to make that happen agai
jd you went in on this topic these young cats don't know how to preform or how to carry themselves anymore. this shit today is sstaight wack. were are the performers at. were are the entertainers at. i am so not entertained anymore. lets go. wherre they at jd!you supposed o be the innovater. bring them out.
damn jd you went in on that topic. yo i sooooo agree with you. these cats don.t know shit about hiphop and how its supposed to go down . thats on the stage and on the street . you talk about swag .damnnnnnnnnn. run had it and ll cool j most definantly had it. hell even will smoith had it. damn i miss the fresh fest and all the hiphop shows and what not . today its all fucked up.
Trey say he need a girl!! Ask him what happen to Nicole from Jersey via VA LOL!!!! OOOOOOOOOOOOO He use to come up to Wachovia to eat breakfast with her and all LMAO!!!
oooooooooooo yes...TREY IS AN OCEAN BOY...i fukin lovee it....DAMN! THAT IS MY HUBBY...haha...johnta i still love u but u brought in a run for ur money with his ass..lol...there's a new pretty boy in town...lmao...LOVE MY OCEAN BOYSSSS
I agree that these young guys don't know how to rock a show nowdays. At the same time I think it's too many old heads trying to hold on to the throne. Do we really need another record from Puffy or Busta or even Fifty and Em. I feel like some of those hot tracks are just wasted. It's about 10 kats on Youtube and about 100 on Myspace all dropping hotter shit than what's on radio.
Trey is a great addition to the Ocean Boys...Its crazy because I use to listen to Hip-hop & buy CDs & now I can say that I have not spent money on one in years..things have changed so much...But I can say that as far a R&B, my 1st love, Johnta & Cox are a breath of fresh air...I love u guys work..JD u have been the that dude since Kriss Kross..its all about timeless music. If I listen to a song 5yrs ago or 5 minutes ago I should still get the same feeling...now thats good music.
"Hip-Hop" is dead... Rap is still around, but the roots, Hip-Hop, is dead. The radio is full of rappers and artists talking about pussy, drugs, how much they swagging, etc... THAT IS NOT HIP-HOP! THe only artist I can think of right now who is close to Hip-Hop is T.I.... He used to rap about his swag and shit, but then he grew up. Hes rapping about grown man shit.. Being a lyricist is Hip-Hop... Straight up...
I ain't knockin' nobody, but they right HIP HOP IS either dead or on life support and i say life support cause u only got a couple of rapper still rapping that have been there from the jump. PERIOD
Hip Hop ain't dead that shit is fucking problem that you old muthafuckas can't fade right now. And I'm in my 30's...let the young niggas shine. Period. Hip-Hop isn't suppose to have any muthafuckan boundries or limits. I fucks with SouljaBoy's business and creativity...niggas is hungry out here...just like any other artist that's destined to blow. Get it how ya live for as long as the fan base allows. Get Money. Get Fame. Fuck that!!!
One more thing. I been fucking wit JD and So So Def since the purple so so def allstars tapes.. "Nigga yall remember them purple tapes" I always wondered, and forgive me if u've touch on this but what does 1472 mean? I HAD the Album and didnt kno... Holla at me
Well JD, all that's gonna happen is the NEW, NEW South is gonna step up. Im speaking on behalf of myself (ALA) my LooseGorilla sqad, and the SOUTH itself...We don talked about the grillz, the rims, the jewelry, but now its time to touch on the struggle...Im from Selma Alabama originally so I know history AKA "where we've been as a people." Its gonna come back to the storytelling, and being knowledgeable..We ready to delivery timeless music again..I got a 94-97 passion wit a futuristic mindframe
JD, the comment you made about hip-hop is so true. Same with Trey people don't care to look at the past and know the roots and foundation of where hip-hop came from and what made it have an impact. Hip-hop is dead because niggas have sold their souls. Artist today are not being real with themselves and the music they put out. I don't even get same vibe when I hear that bull Sh*t that is out here. Yes I will say it, BOW WOW sellin out a bit doin shit wit soulja boy. hip-hop is not "CRANK THAT"...
it would be soo sick if Ryan Leslie joined this crew! That dude is definetly underrated and very talented and as brilliant as the guys already in this Crew. Damn call dude up and make that music he even has his phone number on his youtube channel lol u guys wudd shut this shit down!
That's truth!!! JD, IT'S TIME TO PUT ON A SMASH CONCERT! SO SO DEF PRESENTS....i'm bout my BIZ so for the rest hit me up. Can't spill it all out in a comment. Idea I have is fresh tho. If you prefer, me and my biz partner can put together something on paper to present to you about it. It's whatever. Living The Life!
Kings die but they r reborn thru their music. U just have 2 be exposed 2 their work of art is all. The new old school hip hop 2 me is the music of the 90's. I refer 2 it as "The new old school" That kinda music feels like home 2 me. I've always had older siblings so i adapted 2 what they listened at a early age. The problem 2day is we have 2 many followers and not enough leaders. That's what makes our favorite artists legends. It's becuz they did what they were just doing them.
I feel you JD and Trey on everything yall saying. In my early years practicing my craft I was heavy into jazz. The only way to know how to carry yourself and play is to watch Miles, Coltrane, Bird on tape. Miles swagg is so crazy when he on the band stand. With the hip-hop thing, when I first heard Dre new joint I felt fresh air coming through the radio. I was like, this is the rap that I been waiting to hear again.
run dmc wasnt part of my generation so i cant cmnt on that.. but its funny i have a feeling evry1 thinks soulja boy killed hip hop.. even the artists.. and they dont want to admit it bc dont want to look like a hater bc soulja boy is filthy right now. soulja boy has talent and his lyrics are entertaining, but dont have the substance that the lyrics of true hip hop need
i have respect for kanye.. but to me so so def as a generation is what drove me most.. and part of me believes that our loss of BIG (and pac) is what "killed" hip-hop.. they were truly blessed artists, but nobody truly believes they can be the best of all time.. and now things are getting worse and worse
LOL btw who is the dude in the jacket hes hilarious!!! lol
Kanye breathed life back into hiphop when he debuted as a solo rapper
he was different.. he's a fucking incredible energetic live performer... he transcends genres without sacrificing musical integrity.. his videos are all different.. he does what the fuck he wants to do, but always tries to be creative, whilst making hot music.. kids today have kanye to look up to.. out of all the big rap stars today, he's the msot credible, makin the best music... we need kanye makin rap music again
Oceans....what is yall thoughts on Day 26 and their situation with Diddy? I dont understand why anyone would sign with Bad Boy based on the fact that most of the artists that came from the label leave due to financial and management issues.
dang i'm all late... who said soulja boy killed hip hop? LOL that's wrong. that lil boy jus tryna make some money.. his lyrics ain't genius status but i shole will do tha 'stanky leg' to his shit.
I agree with you about content. But the whole concept of rappers going at each other is called battle rap. LL Cool J, Run, KRS 1. They use to make battle records. I think after Big and Pac died the whole idea of rap got touchy. Every time a style of music becomes "POP-ular", the industry milks it til that shit becomes lame. Then you like alright I "tied" of this shit hommie. Now rappers wanna sing, singers wanna rap. Everybody wanna be JD including me. Shouts out to all the lifers!
an array of different artist all with there own style on the radio, i mean every bnody was different had there own style... now its the same monotonous bull... im not talking about everybody because obviously im a JD fan... but a lot of artist are ... just bull.. straight up .... 1
i dont care if its a party song to a, im the ish song... u should feel what the artist is trying to say to you... thats why hip hop is dead, ppl are just running through the motions, they find one thin that sells and they use it till ppl hate it. ppl see is your creative enough to make a dance or whatever it is then u can make money and they do it, they have no appreciation for the art form and there actually lowering the value and making it harder fro real music to be herd... years ago there
very few artist i listen to that are making music right now, i took it apon mysef to listen to things i may have missed growing up just because i love the music,, listening to uncles and whoever play a record or mentioning a artist i never herd of when i was little and i would google... Music should make u feel,
i dont usually comment but hopfuly u read this... i am a up and coming artist... i dont wanna be labled... even if i am im going to make the music im feeling at the time and those who like it will listen.... but i know i will be labled as a rap artist because i rap, simple and plain... even tho i do more then that... enough about myself lol... the point is, theres
to answer jd's question-why not start a school - real shit. A school teaching the newer generation about the greats...Some really do care to learn but sadly 2 lazy 2 do the research.
RAPS PROBLEM: See my generation grew up with jay-z , nas , 2 pac , biggie , etc., and those artist grew up listening to the originators run dmc, naughty by nature, etc.. so the only link to the originators is what influence that they have on the artist that i grew up listening to. Its just like if you told a secret to 1 person and that person told another person and another etc, then by the time it gets to the 100th person the secret is completely diffrent from the original. LOST IN TRANSLATION
One of the main reasons hip hop is fucked, i'ts beacause the same peeps that bitch about the fact that there is no good hip hop out there are not buying albums , then they have the nerve to bicth .
And the kids dont know about the Krs one's , the Brand Nubian, the black moon , shit they dont know about Kriss Kross..............lol
RAPS PROBLEM: See my generation grew up with jay-z , nas , 2 pac , biggie , etc., and those artist grew up listening to the originators run dmc, naughty by nature, etc.. so the only link to the originators is what influence that they have on the artist that i grew up listening to. hip hop is messed up bcuz of consumers and labels. back in the day it used to never matter how u looked just if had skills. now everyone has a pitch or a story 2 sell which goes beyond music. hey he got shot 9 times and oh yea he can rap. thats why american idol winners flop after a while, when they get off tv. u lose the connection u made with them, diddy realized this so thats why theres making the band 4 keep them relevant. the real artists are out there its just that there boring
Alright JD, you lock Souljah Boy, Bow Wow, and a plethora of other rappers in one room and show them tapes of these concerts of the legends. Just like LeBron and Kobe watch tape of Jordan, Bird and Magic, these new cats need to become educated so that they can better create in the hip hop genre.
I think the same way about Hip Hop and other music too. Kids want to keep up with the latest trends and want to only listen to what's hot. Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, T-Pain, Gucci Mane may be hot, but people don't know how they got to where they at. It seems like the generation gap has gotten even wider and the music has watered down so much. I think if u wanna b great, u need 2 do ur homework cuz history repeats itself.
i think it is going to take a lot to fix it but to begin working on the major rappers that been in the game need to come together and put out quality albulms and concerts... so that true hip hop fans know that while its ok to dance that what all your songs about... songs used to have meaning we need to get back to that
That was one of the realist things I've heard brought up about rap, this is my favorite episode! Big ups Trey you're on of the few singers that sings from a true male prospective so I can actually bump your joint without saying "no homo" after listening!
To go off of what JD was sayin, I make music and i know I wouldnt be doin it if it wasnt for tha Stevie, Quincy, Prince, Old bands of tha 70's (Earth Wind and Fire, ConFunkShun), up thru Teddy Riley and beyond that I was listenin to. And jus like young inspiring rappers want to be who they see on tv, a lot of young producers want to make music that they hear on tha radio without havin that deep-rooted, true genuine love of music.
run dmc, ll cool j, kool moe dee, suger hill gang ,the furious five and many others did music that had life in them as for hiphop today there is no life in it to believe you gonna that song for like 20 years from now.its like nobody want to be a legend or even try to break all the rules.look kanye west songs are gonna be around for so many years the same lupie too, common, mos def, i mean i can go on
in hiphop today nobody is daring themself to do different then the others, look at outkast from the start till now they have always did things different and bring it to other level they was daring themself, the same for tupac and biggie the result of it legend.look at busta rhymes wu tang clan and so many others that dare to take hiphop to other level musically.we need more of that and not only the female mc need to be out there too.
yo i live in Canada and i personally love this show i watch it all the time ..... like you guys crack me up........even the one name Tyrone he kills me with " that ain't it " .....and i am happy for you Trey that you are a part of the ocean boys..... they are very wised for choosing you in their group........As for Johnta you are soooooooo rude but i love it and can't get a nuff of it......
Artists need to put some shows together and get out on the road and sellout some arena's like RUN DMC did. We need a 2009-2010 Fresh Fest tour, with some solid performers. Where Tyrone won't be able to say "That's Not It"
I'm so glad yall got all that press for talkin about christina milian b/c i had never heard of this b4 then now im hooked on livin the life.... christina know she looked like a rehab escapee

TerritoryMusic 2 years ago
Hip Hop is the culture that is past til present. So Hip Hop was Run DMC, Whodini, Das EFX, Kurtis Blow, Outkast Jay-z ,Biggie, Kane, Pac etc. Today Hip Hop is Soulja Boy, Bow Wow, Yung Joc, U-N-I, Cool Kids, Kid Cudi, Yeezy. But the problem is , is that rap isn't the same. These youngins today behind the mic, don't know how to rap and what to talk about it. They don't know the art of putting together a group of songs which told a story from track 1 til end.

i think part of the issue is the absence of concrete artist development. labels and managers spend more time now trying to cut out the middle steps and rush the artist to the masses rather than building a sustainable artist who can deliver in the booth AND give an outstanding performance on stage as well as hold the interest of the masses during an interview without sounding as if they dropped out of school in the 2nd grade. artist development back then was a must and it made a difference.

WITH A LOST YOUTH!!

good point J.D, I just feel like it should not be called hiphop anymore, it feels like we created a new type of music that branched from hiphop.

What killed hip hop
1 Jayz going after NAS, made other rappers and artists choose a side.
2 50 Cent going after ja rule, and beefn with most of hip hop
3 with all that beefn, we 4got about rapping
4 all rappers want is that commercial success
5 so that means no variety. No lyrics, no skillz, and no content
6 rappers only want the money, cars, clothes, and women
7 no original content everyone sounds the same
I am a fan but lately this thing called hop hip i think is a dien breed
POSHED74 2 years ago
I agree with you about content. But the whole concept of rappers going at each other is called battle rap. LL Cool J, Run, KRS 1. They use to make battle records. I think after Big and Pac died the whole idea of rap got touchy. Every time a style of music becomes "POP-ular", the industry milks it til that shit becomes lame. Then you like alright I "tied" of this shit hommie. Now rappers wanna sing, singers wanna rap. Everybody wanna be JD including me. Shouts out to all the lifers!

hip hop is messed up bcuz of consumers and labels. back in the day it used to never matter how u looked just if had skills. now everyone has a pitch or a story 2 sell which goes beyond music. hey he got shot 9 times and oh yea he can rap. thats why american idol winners flop after a while, when they get off tv. u lose the connection u made with them, diddy realized this so thats why theres making the band 4 keep them relevant. the real artists are out there its just that there boring

FlashGnius 2 years ago
i think it is going to take a lot to fix it but to begin working on the major rappers that been in the game need to come together and put out quality albulms and concerts... so that true hip hop fans know that while its ok to dance that what all your songs about... songs used to have meaning we need to get back to that

Nice Topic Lifers!

in hiphop today nobody is daring themself to do different then the others, look at outkast from the start till now they have always did things different and bring it to other level they was daring themself, the same for tupac and biggie the result of it legend.look at busta rhymes wu tang clan and so many others that dare to take hiphop to other level musically.we need more of that and not only the female mc need to be out there too.

Artists need to put some shows together and get out on the road and sellout some arena's like RUN DMC did. We need a 2009-2010 Fresh Fest tour, with some solid performers. Where Tyrone won't be able to say "That's Not It"

Somehow, someway, use hip hop as an educational tool. Get it into the school curriculum. Stimulate interest then go 4 the gusto
