@dmaxx07 Thinking that jean rouch could be racist is just so completely wrong! Sure Marceline may have her own vestigial hangups about black men, and it's shocking to hear her be so open about it. But you can see Jean Rouch is ready to argue about it - "you're a sexual racist" - and you get highly empathetic cuts to Landry's face listening to her bad news about his attractiveness!

i don't think she was being or trying to be racist, it's just how she feels. it's just not being attracted to a certain race of people in a sexual way. as you can see they're sitting together and talking normal...

It was considered sooo radical then, (are you happy etc)but to a contemporary audience it is sooo racist! white framework, voice/camera/pov, & white jewish punchline....or is it just me?
