wow it was an amazing pice or work... that's why it's one of my favorites am gald i was able to hear someone so talented play it... i hope i can sometime later on learn to play it for myself...but still awsome work...
Playing the piano does that to your arms if you do it enough. It can also make them more flexible. I've been playing for 6 years (only properly for 3) and the little finger on my left hand bends about 140 degrees backwards, and the rest of the fingers around 120 degrees. The fingers on my right hand are about 15 degrees less flexible.

just a question out of curiosity, did you purposely point the camera at your fine ass? cause i got to know if its intentional or done out of ignorance.
Its not too hard to memorize, just do one measure a day and add a new one every day. It only about 67 measures. Whew, Im still working on it. Good Job on moonlight, great piece.
Its nice. But there are a couple of things that not realy good. Moonlight sonate is a piece of beethoven and its a song almost all in PIANO (p) PIANISIMO (pp) So thats not realy good by you. Ans the rythm if you wanna play it on realy high level. YOu have to work on the rythm all have to be all the same. But its a nice job.
sorry to stem the flow of praise, but in my opinion, moonlight sonata, and piano playing in general is about feeling, how it makes you feel and how you express your feelings through your playing, i didn't get the sense you were being touched by the music, try to play from the inside out, don't over think it, just feel it and let it flow.
I think you'll agree the criticism was constructive, and it's just my opinion, there's no doubt she plays a textbook version, and to some, that is perfection. I was offering a different perspective, as my joy comes from the journey of the piece being played from the heart, as an extension of the soul.
you play very nice but you can do so much better by binding the notes together!
I hope that I will be posting my own recording of the moonlight sonata as fast as i learn it proper and get to barrow a video camera. Please rate and give feedback when it does =D
Sound quality kinda poor. Sounds quite distorted. Was the mic too near or recording volume level set too high??
Great playing nonetheless. How abt rerecording with lower recording levels or the mic further away or even a better mic?? Im sure it wld come out great & wld do your efforts greater justice??
What a wonderful job playing this beautiful song you should be proud. I am trying to learn to play it now very hard yet you make it seem so easy. Keep up the excellent work.

I think her arms are deformed, seriously look at her arms, and notice she doesn't show her face or shoulders? maybe im wrong but i don'y think i am. GREAT PLAYING BY THE Way!
Great job, but I think you're pressing the key too hard. This piece suppose to be emotional and loving. So, it's suppose to be softer (not to soft) and bring out the the melody. I'm sorry to say this (please don't get mad at me), your hand is a bit stiff (well, it's not too stiff) You need to relax it. But all I can say is "Bravo".
Hi nzvegan.. I loved the way you played the piece. I am in love with this song and have wanted to play it for a long time. I have just learnt it and as you will probably see from my video response it is very rustic. I don't actually play. Your video (among others) inspired me to learn. Keep up the great work! Well done mwa!!
overall, I'd say you have a great start here. after getting the literal stuff down, really focus on the dynamics. If you'd like inspiration, check out Horowitz's recording of this, one of my favorites! overall, good job!!!
I have a HUGE favor to ask you. Could you please send me the music for this? I printed sheet music for it, learned it, and played it but I think it's in the wrong key or just altogether wrong. I need someone to send me the music they have to make sure. Thanks.
If you're going to use this much sustain pedal, you should play it pianissimo (quieter). All of the notes aren't supposed to be struck equally hard....work on bringing the melody out more. Work on the phrasing; the work doesn't have to be played to a metronome. From 2:51 to 3:00 and 5:22 to 5:26, the bottom octave is sustained (they are played once and held down--don't play them at the start of every measure). Keep practicing; your basic technique is good.
My jaw dropped whie watching your video. One of my goals is to be able to play moonlight sonata but Im still a beginner with the whole thing. Your hand movements are so elegant, it was a great piece. Thanks for posting! And if you have any pointers let me know, Id really appreciate the help.
You are the closest I have yet found to the tempo of my favorite version by Jeno Jando (my CD from Germany). His is 5 min 15 seconds, but I would prefer even yours to his. You have a eloquent, visual presence at the instrument.

sorry to stem the flow of praise, but in my opinion, moonlight sonata, and piano playing in general is about feeling, how it makes you feel and how you express your feelings through your playing, i didn't get the sense you were being touched by the music, try to play from the inside out, don't over think it, just feel it and let it flow.

She played beautifully......don't be so damned critical of others!
