  • Its Such A Moving Beautiful Song It Has Meaning To Me

  • fantastic

  • you captured it SO perfectly i cant even tell you how surprised and shocked i am. Its perfectly done =]

  • I applaud you. Your a FANTASTIC piano player.

  • Does anyone else notice that she has Pop-eye arms?

  • Playing the piano does that to your arms if you do it enough. It can also make them more flexible. I've been playing for 6 years (only properly for 3) and the little finger on my left hand bends about 140 degrees backwards, and the rest of the fingers around 120 degrees. The fingers on my right hand are about 15 degrees less flexible.

  • I've been playing properly for 8 years and I don't have "pop eye" arms :P

Though I dont' exactly know what that is .. would you mind explaining? ^^

  • Woah, an excellent pianist and a vegan - *applause*!

  • LVB;-) Well played, Danke

  • very good!

  • nice

  • you have a beautifull legs

  • Now you have momorised it, concentrate on what its about, and relish it.

Its about resignation, loss, and acceptance.

  • Beautiful legs..

  • Its not too hard to memorize, just do one measure a day and add a new one every day. It only about 67 measures. Whew, Im still working on it. Good Job on moonlight, great piece.

  • I think... so strong.. You must playing pianissimo, but you playing mezzo forte. At all - not bad.

  • that was great. I can hardly read music so memorizing this is just too hard. I got about 1/3 of the way by ear but gave up. :p

  • lmao. i started learning piano from my mom 3 days ago and ive got about the same as u down. lol. but not by ear.

  • Soulfully played!

  • Its nice. But there are a couple of things that not realy good. Moonlight sonate is a piece of beethoven and its a song almost all in PIANO (p) PIANISIMO (pp) So thats not realy good by you. Ans the rythm if you wanna play it on realy high level. YOu have to work on the rythm all have to be all the same. But its a nice job.

  • The corret name is:

    Wilhelm Kempff

    Sorry

  • gosh i hate guys who are like this

  • She also does look like an underage girl asshole... had to be named BLUNTMAN you freaking thug. ZOO!

  • @Demonkorn69 She's 24, I just checked on her profile.

  • sorry to stem the flow of praise, but in my opinion, moonlight sonata, and piano playing in general is about feeling, how it makes you feel and how you express your feelings through your playing, i didn't get the sense you were being touched by the music, try to play from the inside out, don't over think it, just feel it and let it flow.

  • Perhaps she played it the way it makes HER feel. She was expressing HER feelings....which may NOT coincide with YOURS.

She played beautifully......don't be so damned critical of others!

  • I think you'll agree the criticism was constructive, and it's just my opinion, there's no doubt she plays a textbook version, and to some, that is perfection. I was offering a different perspective, as my joy comes from the journey of the piece being played from the heart, as an extension of the soul.

  • I couldn't agree more. It was well played and beautifully done. These music snobs just kill me.

  • something was ticking on my headphones... but ur really great :)

  • ahhhh. beautiful. very nice performance

    =]

  • masterfully done. i love your playing. please post more.

  • Nice one I lke it

  • that's more like it

  • there's more work to be done

    but its good

    nice job

  • nice job ;

    It's perfect .

  • Very nice but 3rd act is a great piece of art aswell :)

  • Purely Divine!

    You're flyyying

Surely the best song of all time. Beethoven is great!

    Congratulations!

    ;)

  • I am sorry if I offended you!

  • try to play it a little more smoothly.

you play very nice but you can do so much better by binding the notes together!

I hope that I will be posting my own recording of the moonlight sonata as fast as i learn it proper and get to barrow a video camera. Please rate and give feedback when it does =D

    Sorry my bad English!

  • You are fantastic......great job...

    congratulations

    from chile...

  • man i would love her abilities....amazing!!

  • you play incredible GOOD ! keep the good JOB ! love the piano !

    Kaka

  • you struck a chord with me I am sure Beethoven would have been pleased with this thank you and well done!

  • You play it very well

I've learned to play this song yesterday...

    It's great

  • She sure does play it very well. I am very impressed, excellent job.

  • good speed, so many people play it to fast

  • Sound quality kinda poor. Sounds quite distorted. Was the mic too near or recording volume level set too high??

Great playing nonetheless. How abt rerecording with lower recording levels or the mic further away or even a better mic?? Im sure it wld come out great & wld do your efforts greater justice??

  • WHY is this comment rated negativly? are Americans that stupid or what??

You did great girl, just what jbdoggy said; too bad of the crappy sound recording.

  • Nice one! You did played it right.

  • do u have myspace nice job im learning the song too

  • What a wonderful job playing this beautiful song you should be proud. I am trying to learn to play it now very hard yet you make it seem so easy. Keep up the excellent work.

  • very good u have talent

  • Great job, but I think you're pressing the key too hard. This piece suppose to be emotional and loving. So, it's suppose to be softer (not to soft) and bring out the the melody. I'm sorry to say this (please don't get mad at me), your hand is a bit stiff (well, it's not too stiff) You need to relax it. But all I can say is "Bravo".

  • I love you

  • Hi nzvegan.. I loved the way you played the piece. I am in love with this song and have wanted to play it for a long time. I have just learnt it and as you will probably see from my video response it is very rustic. I don't actually play. Your video (among others) inspired me to learn. Keep up the great work! Well done mwa!!

  • errors were already noted in other comments

overall, I'd say you have a great start here. after getting the literal stuff down, really focus on the dynamics. If you'd like inspiration, check out Horowitz's recording of this, one of my favorites! overall, good job!!!

  • I have a HUGE favor to ask you. Could you please send me the music for this? I printed sheet music for it, learned it, and played it but I think it's in the wrong key or just altogether wrong. I need someone to send me the music they have to make sure. Thanks.

    Beautifully done! =) Hn.

  • If you're going to use this much sustain pedal, you should play it pianissimo (quieter). All of the notes aren't supposed to be struck equally hard....work on bringing the melody out more. Work on the phrasing; the work doesn't have to be played to a metronome. From 2:51 to 3:00 and 5:22 to 5:26, the bottom octave is sustained (they are played once and held down--don't play them at the start of every measure). Keep practicing; your basic technique is good.

  • I wish I could do that! all I ever do is mess around with the piano making my own songs. This sound so sad...Its wounderful!!!!

  • maybee too much pedal, but anyway you are doing it good

  • fantastic

  • Yeah I loved that! You put a lot of effort in the music.

    Superb

  • Awesome. I love it :3

  • I like this interpretation! brava!

  • The gods of music are pleased.

you play great, and since the sonata is one of my favs i like it more

  • that was awsome! you play great!

  • you have a gift. This is one of my favorite songs of all times, and you did just awesome. God bless your hands

  • creo q la amo solo me sentaria a escucharla y el final le besaria las manos toca fantastico aaaaah

  • My jaw dropped whie watching your video. One of my goals is to be able to play moonlight sonata but Im still a beginner with the whole thing. Your hand movements are so elegant, it was a great piece. Thanks for posting! And if you have any pointers let me know, Id really appreciate the help.

  • good job, but remember that the big part of this song is "PP" pianíssimo...you must play it softer than that :)

  • Nice job.

  • WOW just beautiful! any girl who could play that song, man! I f'n fall in love with! lol

  • very nice playing!!! its more better if u show ur face off... :P

  • You are the closest I have yet found to the tempo of my favorite version by Jeno Jando (my CD from Germany). His is 5 min 15 seconds, but I would prefer even yours to his. You have a eloquent, visual presence at the instrument.

  • The playing is beautiful, and the movement of your hands across the keyboard as melodically beautiful as the music itself. Well DONE!!

I want to hire you to do it again on a grand.

  • I'd like to hire you to play for a video in a special project I'm working on.

Call me or write: Albert Yokum / Pres. Graafiset Internatl Inc.

  • I've hear the presto one but your's also fine

    nice job

  • Nice tempo! Very well played. Recording is not the best quality though.

  • Beautiful, almost flawless...

  • Nice! I got bored of playing it like this, check out my insanely faster version!!! yes in know.. no feeling, but meh! It's called:

    "A rather fast moonlight sonata"

  • ilke beet hoven so ilike this to

  • buenas piernas :).

  • the best 1 iv heard!!!

  • great job!!!!!!!

  • Bravo! Your interpretation of Moonlight sonata is the best! You deliver this sonata with great feeling and inspiration instead of just playing it. You make it your own. We, our music class, enjoyed very much. Thanks again. Do you have other videos at you tube?

  • Do you play any other pieces? Who are you? How can we hear you again ?

  • well played for a beginner if you want some tips then msg me il let you into a secret for valk and sonnatta. you have fantastic fingering but i can show you a much better rythm fot playing the sonnata

  • i love the MS and here it is, played beautifully

  • i felt in love with Moonlight Sonate after i watched Hello, God!, this so so wonderful korean drama, that i recommend to everybody!

  • Wow.. what a beautiful fingerS..

    you looks hot xD..

  • very nice :)

  • this is quite the beauteful piece o' art

  • Best I've seen on youtube. Nicely done.

  • nicely done. i got to download the piece on limewire, but it was too soft or a bit high pitched (the music i mean). i like this one better because the sound is a lot stronger and a bit lower.

  • This is actually the better version of this song that you could find on youtube. The others play it so fast that the song doesn't transmit what it tries to. Excellent perform, excellent pace, I just love it ;-)

  • This is my favorite piano tune...

  • excelente, muy buena interpretacion, la musica es el lenguaje universal

  • That's nice. I like the way you play the last part "quasi violoncello" of this piece. good job.

  • Truely Wonderful =)

  • There's good, there's really good, there's really REALLY good, and then there's this awesomeness

If i had mad skills like this, i'd show them off at every opportunity lol

  • I simply love this piece and you do it justice

  • Wow! lovely play from an excellent artist

  • That is awesome... so sweet...

  • Now that was nice...

  • wow your good..you kept the tempo and you memorized the whole thing cause i didnt see you turn any pages or see it move ... so damn GOOD JOB

  • I have listened to (almost?) every person playing Moonlight Sonata on youtube. You are by far, the best. You somehow managed to avoid having the repetition of practice stopping you from "feeling" the music. You also manage to keep a steady pace, and not speed up as so many other people do when they play this.

I was very, very, moved by both Beethoven's genius and your passionate playing. You are awesome.

  • I love moonlight sonata....Very calming

  • i'm jealous.

  • Beautiful. My favorite classical piece and you played it very well.

  • *sniff* beautiful...

  • Nice job!!

  • do you know where i can get the music sheet for this song? by the way i love how you played it and your wrist movements were wonderful

  • Sooooo beautiful!!

  • you are really good

  • Nomejodaas carecen sensaciones

  • Little fast, for me, at least. I relaly like this song slower, then you really hear all the blend of the chords that seem off but are so beautiful.

  • greeeeaaat

  • music is the universal languaje, and you speak it girl. (excuse my english)

  • like the jeans... lol, that is my fave piece of piano music. i am learning how to play it now!

  • reallY awesome... And This Girl!!, wow You are So Beauty!!!

  • i like the piano

    but is so much $

  • Beautiful

  • Awesome! Now learn the third movement for some real fun!

  • is that a metronom, i'm hearing in the bakcground?

  • perfect belt!:)
