It depends on the airline and destination.I know for sure Qantas airlines allowed people to take pics/videos in their cockpits, but it was before 9/11. It don't hurt to ask.
this cockpit voice when landing indicating the distance like 500, 300 and so on. how is it called in pilot language and does anybody know if you kan activate it on fsx?
You are wrong, All airliners are expected to follow FAA regulations. Even the Civil Aviation Association of the Philippines has the same regulations or is based with FAA regulations for air safety.
I am a filipino and I ve been travelling as well from HK to Manila.. This is really very good to see, as i have always fancy to be in the cocpit and look at the landing... Thanks a lot for sharing the experience to us..
Cool video. I should let my friend watch this video. He is a pilot for Hawaiian Airlines. In March 2008, Hawaiian Airlines will be having a direct flight from Honolulu to Manila 3 or 4 times a week. They'll be using the Boeing 767-300ER for the 11 hour journey.
are you flying for Fed Ex?

The view of video is not a real. has been recorded by zooning so the view is not real eye view. It seems like a high aproach for that zooming record.

seaboo143 2 years ago

When did you disengage the autopilot? When it was touchdown or when you see the runway in 2,500 ft?
thunder19 2 years ago
There's an ILS at RPLL? I thought its VOR.
abeamarra 2 years ago
Yup, there had an ILS, One in runway 06 and one in runway 24. There also had NDB, VOR and DME.
thunder19 2 years ago
it has.. ^^ but mostly pilots use VOR
seaboo143 2 years ago

actually PAL have A300's.
patrickbertulfo 2 years ago
actually, PAL had A300's. They already retired them. They may still have them, but they're no longer in use.

pwede b mag pnta ang passenger sa cockpit?
dvdman18 3 years ago
no, passengers are not allowed in the cockpit post-9/11.
patrickbertulfo 2 years ago
only governed by FAA rules. International airlines from outside US don't follow FAA
grassroot3 2 years ago
You mean they use an autoland here, because I think its not. The runway was in sight and land manually even they use an ILS approach
thunder19 2 years ago
