  • The last questioner completely missed the point on Krauss' criticism of ID. Even religious scientists, e.g. Ken Miller, don't endorse ID because it's unscientific. Rattling off a list of names of religious scientists doesn't make ID any more respectable.

  • I hate to admit it, but when I hear the accent of that last questioner, I immediately jump to the conclusion that we're dealing with a right-wing republican christian conservative that thinks science should be sensitive to people's beliefs. The accent is a typical characteristic of the exact kind of person that would discard evidence if it didn't make them happy. I admit I'm stereotyping, but where does the stereotype come from if there isn't some truth to it?

  • i know...Im from Louisiana and I have that accent!! it can be a blessing in the bedroom and a curse in other ways!....I LOVE KRAUSS!

  • @ashleylovesdaddy While I would refrain from using stereotypes in general, as Im sure you would as well, I would agree that men of his age and dialect can be counted on to be right wing obama-hating (racist) christian conservatives. Every time I see something on the news I kind of scorn myself for making such a prejudgement, but then I just kinda think to myself; prove me wrong. And then whoever it is, (this guy) gets 3 sentences in and I'm like 'Yup'.
