I feel like that album was her at the height of her art, it was mainstream and underground, escapist and topical all at once. It was really edgy and still sounds relevant a decade later. They have her on two frequencies mixed separately one for the interview and one for singing. They switch from one to the other. It's important to be skeptical, unless it's skepticism that prevents us from knowing what's really going on.
