I agree with you Rgaoteote the addition of instruimental effects to the singing gives the sound of the aufaipese a boost. But i hope that the traditional sound won't disappear...nothing like the fala and voices. Malo.
As a musician, I personally enjoy the additional instrument sounds..samoans are creative and unique..although we hold a firm base on traditions, we put into great use of our talents that we're blessed with from God..I'm sure the audience that were in attendance were entertained, as the sounds of the keyboard gave it more energy to the songs sung for their performance!!
Some good singing; good recounting of history. This is making me homesick. If only they could do away with the keyboard. C'mon, use the pate or the fala, because that is original, and it maintains the true Samoan flavor. Any real Samoan would agree with me.
You put every Samoan in a tough position, by saying that every real Samoan would agree with me..lol.. So i agree with you..hahahaha. but seriously, sure need to get back to the basics and authentic Samoan style if its a traditional music if not traditional then sure other instruments will work..lol. thank you theephraimite for stopping by and commented
hahaha..perhaps, but I sure wish they produced more traditional musics today, thank you theephraimite for the comment, good to see that we still here promoting our traditional sound
@Avataute I respectfully disagree with you. Perhaps they should do the rising generation a favor by showing them the original way of doing traditional performances. Trust me, many young people like myself like the pate or the fala and dislike Western instruments when it comes to traditional performances. We just need to quit lying to the rising generation and show them the real way. We'd be doing them a big favor. Peace.
I sure agree with you when it comes to traditional musics, as I said before we need to get back to basic when it comes to traditional music, but disagreeing with me on suppositions I don't know what you are disagreeing with unless you knew the thoughts of their hearts for reasons why they used the keyboard..lol..Thank you theephraimite for the comment
I think this cd all of a sudden got itself feet and walk away from me hahahaha but if found again it'll be repost the whole video thanks for stopping by
@Avataute: My pleasure Avataute, And thanks anyway for your response towards my request.. But please, if that song could be found again, make sure you won't put it on a cd with feet again....lo. Maguia kele lou Aso Sa..
..ahahaha.. I didn't for sure, but you when know family and friends sees it, its public property, which means it might grow more claws than a centipede..hahahaha..but thanks for stopping by

@Avataute "Tough position"? Well, perhaps it's a test to see how loyal they are to their roots.

@Avataute Yes, but the singing here is pretty good; the recounting of history as well. The keyboard is the problem.
