Hi Ross! I've been training with a rope for a few years now and have nailed running in place and double unders. I've never understood the last section you demonstrate though, the "freestyle" part starting at 4:52. What are you doing there?
I've developed "Tennis Elbow" from Jump Roping. It kinda started out laughable, because Ive never played tennis, but it's become a real nuisance in many other types of exercises and even striking the heavy bag. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hey Ross, I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I overcame this by sanding down the ends of the handles to create smooth edges. I found this to be a good modification when both handles were initially intact. Your method would obviously help if one/both handles are damaged. Thanks once again Ross!
Hi Ross, thank you for your teachings. When choosing a rope, it there a particular length that in best? I am 175cm or 5ft 9inch what length would you suggest?
mr.Ross I feel GREAT respect for you as a personality you are my role model,a huge motivation I hope everything in your life goes perfect.you are a true LEGEND.

Great video Ross, my speed rope snapped on me a week ago just because of the handle. Did you notice any changes in rope speed while using the t-shirt handles??
@jacks0004 - Thanks for the idea. Yes, it is a garage. I will think about doing something in the future either with a video or pictures via a blog entry.
@TehLightBlinds - Perhaps in the future. I have something similar in my Full Throttle Conditioning DVD. The basic rope moves are actually much easier to learn than many realize however. It's really just a matter of practice and consistency. Practice is the mother of all skills.
Hey Ross check out Dr. Sara Solomon`s jump rope video. I really enjoy your videos. I love the thought, honesty and discriptions that you put into them. Escepially the descriptions, they help so much. Now i must go buy a jump rope.

@zonamarcial - Thanks for the kind words, but these movements are not too difficult to master. Trick work with the rope can get much fancier. I use it more as a conditioning tool however.

@haveyouseenmykeys - 9 feet should be fine at 5'9" (9 feet is a fairly standard rope length)
