  • this song gave me *tingles*

  • hi there i tried to get some of your backing tracks....i went on a christian website, and i tried to pay i could,nt...i live in the uk...im a singer i just wanted to sing...i love when god ran...and you are god alone....is there anyone out there who can help....

  • Is it really about being right, or is it about relationships? Encourage one another. Love each other, as he loves us. God bless you all.

  • great inspiration to us

  • That is the truth of salvation! We could never reach Mercy, MERCY came to us and in CHRIST JESUS!

  • You are saved by confessing and repenting of your sin and accepting the gift of salvation provided by Christ's atoning work. As I am painfully reminded, due to my struggle with caving into fear and well as laziness, faith without works is dead. Faith saves you, but the works are evidence of your faith, the way leaves blowing in the wind aren't the win, just a visible manifestation of it.

Baptism is a public proclamation of your faith: an obvious 'work' to do early on.

  • @82shellyrae, Yes I see what you are saying, but that was during the old law, before the curtain was torn, and before Jesus died... Why would the bible repeat over and over again, to repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins if it wasn't essential?

  • @UMDTerp25... Also the Great Commission says, ... Baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Sprint.... Baptism and Baptize comes from the Greek route word " baptizo" meaning to dip, submerge, dunk ect...

  • @UMDTerp25 I see where you are coming from but I do believe that Baptism is essential, 1 peter 3 : 18-22 clearly states it... Also we want to live like Christ and Jesus was baptized, and set an example for us...

  • @rightwingradical2010 Baptism is NOT essential. Just study up on the thief nailed to the cross next to Jesus. "Jesus answered him, 'I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise'" Luke 23:43 and that guy was never baptized.

  • @82shellyrae The criminal was on a cross so he did not have the chance to be baptized. But Jesus was baptized as an outward example what it symbolizes in becoming a new Christian. It is not a requirement but, If Jesus did it as an example then we should follow His example, don't you think.

  • People, just like the song and move on. We can argue another time!

  • THIS SONG IS SICKl!!!!!

  • Thank God for his Mercy Praise the Lord for his Grace and for his Son Jesus Christ without those 3 we might not be here to be thankful. people so easily forget that Our God is a Mighty and Powerful God. If not for his Son, His Mercy in sending his son, and his Grace is forgiving us by giving us a way back to him Through Jesus Christ the world would have easily been destroyed, the first time around.

  • Amen and praise God!!! Mercy is neverending!! :D

  • For anyone who is looking for a biblical explanation of the gospel and salvation, I would highly recommend checking out the scribd website that is listed on my channel. The scripture references given on there make it very clear and easy to understand.

  • There is no concept of baptism in Al-Islam. Since my father was indeed Christian, I was baptised against my will at the age of six months. Since then, I always beseech Almighty Allah [SWT] to forgive this abominable act. "I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and I further bear witness that Muhammad [PBUH] is the messenger of Allah".

  • @1104882221 So, at 6 months old, you were cognitively aware that your your Christian parents were committing an "abominable act", "against [your] will"?

  • @1104882221 I have a few questions for you, Since you are muslim why are you posting on a Christian song about salvation? unless you want to know the Jesus that I know! 2nd Question Why are you asking your god for forgiveness of a sin you didn't commit? Is your god such an angry god that he holds the sin of your father onto you?

Look at this compare the differences.

  • 1) Why am I, a Muslim, posting here? Because unless we know your mindset, how you guys "tick", Islam cannot reign supreme over xtianity.

    2) The Prophet Jesus (may peace be upon him) never claimed to be the "son"of Almighty Allah (gloriified and exalted) [perish the thought]

3)Guess what? My God sent the prophets down to us including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all)...Guess you guys worship some other god, eh?

  • @1104882221 The way Christians "tick" is that the only way to the Father is through Jesus Christ. God sent down the prophets. Notice i didn't put "our" in front of that. There is only one God. His Son died for all. That is why Christians "tick".

  • In John chapter 9

    John 9

Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind 1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

  • Respond to this video... 6 After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. 8 His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”

  • Im moved by this song... becauze it remindz me of an experience i encountered a few yearz ago where I waz chillin in Eugene,Oregon alcohol waz a big parta my life and it waz the only thing i waz doing that night.. i dont remember passing out but i do remember leaving this world..I waz falling into HELL.,, yeah laugh at me, tell me itz not real ..just like everyone else who doeznt believe me. • @sweetgirlhere1 I believe!

  • @tdshilling Two words were left by you... In a world where even those with great intentions falls to argument with those who don't believe.. no force , no anger, no judgement.. just a sweet calming two word statement..(I BELIEVE) I was a little saddened by even those who call themselves Christian trying to prove their way is THE WAY... but really .. it's all Gods way in the end. no matter how we mess it up trying to be right.. GOD BLESS YOU !! Now I believe God can still work if we just listen.

  • @Rodgerslife Thank you.

  • For anyone who desires a biblical understanding of the gospel and salvation, I would highly recommend checking out the scribd website that is listed on my channel.

  • 3 people need Jesus

    GREAT song!!!

  • Could someone please upload PC&D doing Concert of the Age?! PLEASE!! It was the song that brought me back to God. Now it is high up in my list of all time favourite songs, but my ALL TIME FAVOURITE is He'll Do Whatever It Takes... because He WILL!! Either of those songs on here would be MUCH appreciated PLEASE!

  • I Love This Song, Especially Because The Beginning Sounds Like Tarzan lol

  • @LOL! Yep! My favorite part is the key change-up at 3:18 and the rest of the song beyond that! :)

  • "And when I could not reach Mercy, Mercy came running to me" don't you just love that?! ♥♥♥

  • used to listen to this song when i was a kid and i still love it!!

  • This song has justified Christian music. It doesn't just have a good beat but with great lyrics as well. It is how we became Christians and it is how we are as Christians. Good job! :)

  • For anyone who desires a biblical understanding of the gospel and salvation, I would highly recommend checking out the scribd website that is listed on my channel.

  • great song... did "33 miles" copy the melody with their song "there's a God"?....

  • Going out to "Spunky"......enjoy !

  • @MsTheresaKelly1 It is so hard to understand why we are still loved amidst all the stupid things we do to screw up our own lives. It is easy for our shame to take over and to feel hypocritical when we try to face God and ask for forgiveness. Even then, it can be hard to speak to Him. That is where faith comes in. Have faith that Gid has faith in you, because you are just as unworthy yet loved as us all!

  • Such a true song for my life. Just two weeks ago I was in such an emotional and spiritual hole, torturing myself over my sin so much that it was hard to see God. Then His mercy reached right in to my heart and for three days I prayed constantly, begging Him to reach in and pull me out.

Brothers and Sisters, you all know how it ended. God is truly great beyond anything that could be described!

  • Mercy came running to me.....I once was lost but now am found. Praise the Lord and bless everyone who is seeking and may have turned away for a period. May you hear the call of Jesus and turn to Him for mercy.....

  • I hope that proves true in my life. I need for it to be true. All I can see is my own failures.

  • @MsTheresaKelly1 it will if you put your faith in Jesus

  • Mercy came running like a prisoner set free......for me? WOW! Lord thank you for your mercy. When I couldn't reach mercy, MERCY came running to me. The Lord God almighty became what I needed most - mercy.

  • gotta get the bass line down!

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • Simply Beautiful...

  • Mercy came running, what a testimony, when i was unloveable and deserved only death jesus was thinking of me on the cross, praise his name the name of jesus!

  • great song

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • I love this song and it is beautiful

  • they made a mistake in one of the verses and its very contradictory to what God is...."...with justice no longer in the way"....the Bible says God is Just. Revelations says, everyone will say God is Just...

that was the question when adam sined...how can God forgive without altering His Justice and be merciful at the same time...a sacrifice had to be made totaled in JESUS CHRIST...i wish i could tell the P C & D brothers to take that under consideration.....God Bless....and MERCY CAME RUNNING!:)

  • @dadominicanstyl God is just, but Jesus is the exception to that.

  • Mercy came a running to me and i've accepted him as my Lord and Savior! Praise God! Accept him now before the great tribulation, and live with him in the afterlife!

  • This is such a great song! It is so great to know that wherever we are in life, God's grace and mercy are always there.

    Luke 15

  • This is such a great song! It is so great to know that wherever we are in life, God's grace and mercy are always there.

    Luke 15

  • i love this song have to sing it in church

  • 'For His mercy endureth forever' thank you Jesus! You died for my sins on Calvary cross - help me to die with You daily

  • This isn't the place to argue though. The song is just about mercy, and it's a good one.

  • Even with that verse...works can't save. You can be saved even if you're not effective with it. (i.e. preaching, converting people, etc) It's recommended, but it won't condemn you either; God will just be disappointed. And I hope that nobody is suggesting that not getting baptized means that the person won't go heaven unless they do...because that's untrue.

  • Oh wow... i love this song!!!!

  • Beautiful song, beautiful job by P,C and D. Thanks for posting!

  • This song speaks to my soul, it touches the very core of my being, I praise God for His Love and Mercy.......thank you Jesus

  • ask

  • randy philips dad is my pastor

  • So what do you do when the music speaks to you but you just aren't sure if you can believe in the words...

  • UMDTerp25 is 100% right.

  • Baptism hasn't and never will save. If that were true Jesus wouldve said but he who does not believe AND get baptized will be condemned. In Acts Peter is not saying that baptism forgives our sins...baptism is a symbol of our commitment to follow Christ...when we first choose to follow Christ we receive the Holy Spirit. Peter is simply reinforcing this idea. I'd encourage you all to check out Galatians. Great book and Paul's message to the Galatians is works never have and never will save

  • UMDTerp25, You're making a common mistake. Think through this logically. Just because unbelief condemns doesn't mean other things can't condemn as well. Unbelief is simply the ultimate SUMMARY of why people cannot be saved. ("Even demons believe, and tremble.")

Baptism is not man's work, it is God's work. Jesus says a man must be born of water and the Spirit. (In the greek, this is an obvious reference to Baptism) Baptism is not a work of man's anymore than a man can decide he wishes to be born

  • I disagree...and to make my point I simply need to quote probably the most recognized verse in the Bible...For God so loved the world that He gave his only son that whoever believes (not believes and is baptized or not believes and goes to church or believes and any other combination of works) shall not perish but have eternal life.

  • UMDTerp25, There is absolutely nothing we can do to earn salvation on our own. It's 100% God's gift to man, through our Lord and Savior Jesus and through Jesus Christ alone. Amen?!! =)

Thus, if Baptism was something that was made up by mankind, I'd be in complete argreement with you. However, it was instituted by God Himself, not man. Only Jesus' Mercy saves us. But one of the ways He pours out His Mercy on us is through Baptism. Check out these verses. I'm sure you already know them:

  • 1 Peter 3:21; Rom 6:3-5; Gal 3:26-27; Ephesians 5:25-27; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:28; Matt 28:18-20 (Jesus' call to Baptize the nations: God established it); Acts 22:16; John 3:5; 1 Cor 12:13; Col 2:11-13.

Faith is necessary for Salvation, of course!! But Faith isn't an end unto itself. We have to have faith IN something. Where do we put our faith? In Jesus Christ. And because Jesus and His called apostles point to God's "Mercy running" to us in Baptism, we have faith in Baptism, by extension.

  • Being "baptized in Christ" is not being baptized with water...it is receiving the Holy Spirit...a consequence of our faith in the death and resurrection of Christ. If baptism saves, then all those Christians who were never baptized (i.e. all of the old testament) would not be saved.

  • Brother, listen to the first 1:30 of this song. What's it talking about? The difference between God's Old Covenant which existed in OT times and the New Covenant which came into being after Christ's death for us (See Luke 22:20)!! People were saved under the Old Covenant because they believed in the promised Messiah who was yet to come.

Now Baptism is a way, a means, that God uses to allow His Mercy to run to us under the New Covenant. I believe that it is only unbelief that condemns someone

  • However, if someone refuses and scorns Baptism, it's very doubtful that that person can be a true Christian. Not only is he directly disobeying God's call for all Christians to be Baptized, but he's also cutting himself off from God's Spirit.

There is no difference between a Baptism of the Spirit and a Baptism of water, for all who were Baptized with water in the name of Jesus were Baptized with the Spirit! Read the account in Acts 19:1-7 to see. Read also what John says in Matt. 3:11.

  • Also, the Bible speaks of water AND Spirit united in John 3:5 and Titus 3:5. Acts 2:38-39 does the same. And in Baptism we as Christians are united with each other and also with Christ's death and resurrection (Eph. 4:4-6 and Rom. 6:3-5). If I may ask, why do you seem so opposed to the idea that God might use physical things such as the water in Baptism as a means of bestowing Grace, especially since the scriptures point to Baptism so often? (Very pointedly in Acts 22:16.)

  • I have nothing against baptism...I've been baptized but being baptized doesn't save me from my sins...belief in the death and resurrection of Christ does...by tacking on baptism with it you are doing just what the Galatians were doing...thinking works could save Have you read the parable of the laborers in the vineyard? each one received the same wage whether they grew up knowing Christ or accepted Him on their death bed (without time to be baptized)

  • Yes, I am familiar with Galatians. =) I'm no legalist! What Paul was arguing against specifically was the idea that Jewish ceremonial law had to be followed under the new covenant. But let's read this from Galatians: "for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (Gal 3:26-27) Can you not yet see, friend?! Baptism and faith are not seperate entities, and Baptism is no work of ours! Let me give you an illustration.

  • A homeless man stands in a charity food line to get some dinner. The charity gives him food and drink, and he's filled.

Did that man earn his meal by standing in the food line? Was getting that food a work of his? No, of course not.

Jesus is the Living Water!! And he uses the physical means of Baptism as *one way* of giving us forgiveness. In Baptism we stand before Christ as miserable sinners, and He says, "My Son, drink, and receive my Spirit." Just look at all those verses I listed for you

  • Just because something is given *physically* doesn't mean that it is our work! Look at Jesus' death on the cross. That was physical, that was His work. See when Jesus spit in the dirt and used the mud to heal the blind man. That was physical! Yet it was *all* God's work.

This exact same thing happens in Baptism!! The water is physical, tangible, visible,

  • but the water has no power on its own. God's Word is what works through Baptism. Baptism and Faith are no more seperate than Jesus and His cross. They go hand in hand.

But I'd never say that someone who never had the chance to be Baptized but still believed is lost. After all, look at the thief on the cross. It is only a rejection and scorning of Baptism that would call one's salvation into question. Confusing? Yeah. But who are we to try to rationalize God's truth and nature?

  • so we agree then...baptism doesn't save or at least thats what I'm getting from your example of the thief on the cross simply put, baptism is a public confession of our decision to follow Christ it doesn't save us from our sins Faith alone does

  • @UMDTerp25 faith alone does not save you, bible says faith without works is dead, bible says except ye be born of water and spirit not just spirit!

  • Ok so this is my last post...if anyone disagrees

or wants to discuss...message me. Faith

alone saves (consider what the bible

says about Abraham). Works do not save

and baptism doesn't save. Faith and faith

    alone saves (check out Galatians)

  • @UMDTerp25 But faith without works is nothing...

  • @UMDTerp25 But this puts into question the question of "faith." Faith as in trust, or faith as in assuming something? There are many Christians who don't know what they believe, but they think "faith" is this concept where you assume something without it being grounded in logic.

  • @kennethleigha100 The other interpretation of "faith without works is dead" is that the lack of works indicates that the faith was not of the saving kind. In other words, faith that saves will always result in some kind of works.

  • @UMDTerp25 4him56 What you don't understand is what Jesus said in Mark 16:16 "he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Many churches are saying that baptism is not essential. After the resurrection Jesus commanded the disciplesto go and baptize, if you say it is not necessary then Christ is a witness against you.Matt 21:25 The baptism of John whence wasit? from heaven or of men. In the book of Acts the converts were baptized in Jesus name.

  • @4him56 really it's more than being baptized by a priest it is more to know u are baptized by the holy spirit for yourself, it's not about confessing to or in front of a priest, but to God!

  • @4him56 Romans 10:9-10If thou shat confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. No baptism was performed before salvation there. Baptism = picture of Christ death, burial, ressurection. It's the next step a believer should follow once he is saved, to identify himself w/Christ's resurrection.

  • @UMDTerp25 Well put. Thanks

  • @UMDTerp25 Amen. Thanks for telling it like it is!

  • @UMDTerp25 I agree, I was raised in the COC and it was pounded into my being that i HAD to be baptized.. I truly believe that God...looks at the Heart. However he did say believes AND is baptized..so I believe u have to have both.

  • @UMDTerp25 Go back to Genesis and see that sign sealed the covenant with Abraham. Baptism was not, is not, and never will be for a symbol. That's foolishness to believe that. Look at John 3 what does Jesus say. Go to Acts 2:38 what is baptism for? Remission. You MUST be born again of the water and of the Spirit or you can't even see the kingdom of GOD! Have you received the HOLY GHOST since you believed?

    j_w_fregia@excite.com.

  • @thekidwf this is really a poor response. when you don't understand what a sign nor a seal is then of course you'll make this type of categorical mistake. but a sign is the physical words of the object it represents. circumcision was a sign of the covenant of Abraham but of course it signified more than initiation. Baptism is not only for remission. it also replaces circumcision, baptism in the OT, and is a picture of washing and dying.

  • @thekidwf ;lop

  • First we fight the ones who don't believe then in the same motion we turn and fight each other... how.. I just cant... what the heck!?

  • we dont fight with each other. we're just trying to encourage each other with the complete truth, not just part of it.

  • all this arguing has done what good? it is time to walk in love with one another. try it sometime

  • I love the song. And I'm glad I truly know Jesus.

  • jesus loves me and you!!

  • "Jesus answered Verily, verily I say unto three, except a man be born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:5 Christ spoke in parables. lonecrusader is correct. The outpouring of the holyghost was poured out after Christ's assention on the 50th day of passover.Jesus said he would "not leave us comfortless but would send a "comforter"(the holy ghost). This is the new dispensation of the church in which we are living in now. John baptized unto repentance.:)

  • Thank you very much!!! :) Its awsom to see that im not alone here. Somebody thats ONE GOD and knows what im talking bout.

  • I agree with everything you said, except I still dont understand how being baptized with water saves you.

  • Being baptized can never and will never save you. We are first supposed to repent...confess our sins and ask Jesus to forgive us and come into our hearts. That's why He came is to be the sacrifice for our sins. After this, Jesus wants us to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Ghost-Matt. 28:19. There are other verses in the Bible where Peter says to be baptized in the name of Jesus. We are supposed to ask all things (pray) in Jesus' name. So, be baptized in the name of the

  • Jesus was our example was he not baptized???

    Jessu name baptism:

Have you read the book of ACTS???? Acts 2:38. Read Act 19 : 5 see how they were commanded to be baptized???

Mark 16:16 "He that beleive and is baptized shall be saved.

  • Acts 2:38

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

  • that's what my bible reads

  • name of the Father, Son, & the Holy Ghost, in Jesus name. A lot of people say that you have to be baptized in Jesus' name in order to be saved, but Jesus never said this. He said to repent & 2 be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. And there is no where in the Bible where it says that baptism saves you. It is however, symbolic-when we go under the water it represents our death to sin & death to self, then when we come back up it represents our new life in Christ.

  • This really isn't the place for posting this because I see we both love this song but I have to correct what was said : Jesus said be baptized in the NAME of the father son and holy ghost which is Jesus Christ. I can show you all over the bible where people were always baptized in the name of Jesus and just this one scripture for this. Search it out for yourself, God Bless!

  • Ephesians 4:5 ONE LORD one faith and One baptism.

    1 John 5:7 :

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy ghost and these three are ONE.

James 2 :19 Thou beleivest that there is one God thou does well the devils also beleive and tremble.

  • John 3:5

Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

  • What do you mean when you say "verily I say unto three"

Mormons use king james because it is difficult to understand they dont want people to have Bibles that are easy to read because they might understand the truth and be saved.

Please stop using king james version.

  • being born of water and of the Spirit means.....being born of the womb (water) and of the Spirit (born again by accepting Christ as your savior) Baptism is symbolic of having been buried with Christ (dying to old sin) and raised to new life.

  • Mark 16:15-16 (New King James Version)

15 And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned

  • If it wasnt for His mercy i would be as good as dead now. Praise GOD!!!! <3 <3
