@CentralScrewtinzer You can disable those limiter by causing a malfunction (say I think turning off one of the flight computer would do it). Then the plane switch to "alternatate law" then Protection is lost.
I know some people involved with this, and I was shocked to see this video. I've told many people this story over the years, and I've heard the CVR, and these guys are heroes. This jackasses suicide note said his intention was to turn the plane around and crash it into the Memphis sort facility and ramp which was lined up with fully fueled jumbos. He might have killed everybody in that sort facility.
There is another part in deepseapilot's videos..Don't know if this is the whole thing but you can go to nat geographic website and they will email you when they re air this
Simply outstanding that they were able to able to suppress Callaway, let alone land the plane with their conditions. Especially Tucker and Saunders. Amazing...
Very lucky they were not in an Airbus...Stars aligned. Bravo

Airbus has safety features that do not allow the aircraft to assume unusual attitudes.
CentralScrewtinzer 1 year ago 4
@CentralScrewtinzer Yes it does, but these "features" can also be disabled at the flip of a few switches on the overhead panel.
