The footprint on this unit goes further back than a dozer. On the dozer, the tracks go down at about a 20 degree angle from vertical. Not like this unit.
These are used mostly where traditional skidders get bogged down. They don't move quite as fast as a tire-type skidder but they're relentless in messy work.
