I saw Gallardo Domas in Barcelona in Butterfly and the high notes are gone... Luckily she is a believable actress and the medium of the voice is nice. She was a spectacular Violetta or Mimi 10 years ago...The system ruins many voices. She is one of the victims... Saw her in Trovatore in Zurich. Complete disaster, DVD recording was cancelled because of her poor performance. Too bad because the rest of the cast was superb.
I saw this at the Met (not on opening night) and I can report that the production and Christina were amazing. I also loved it when the "child" jumped into her arms, so funny.

I really loved when they made the child jump into her arms. That production was magical! I also just saw The Magic Flute last December.

Did you see it operning night? You could walk through her wobble it was so bad. Her voice is far form beautiful.
