  • So is this song paying out Boy George?

  • keyboardist is definitely gay

  • not moot!

  • It's sorta ironic, but, this song now can be considered NECRO.....'s theme song!

  • Wait is it a joke,

    Or are they for real?

  • its from DvD "Does humor belong in music" :) just guess.....

  • yeah so freakishly awesome

  • What a wonderful time: when you could be politically incorrect wrt homosexuality and not immediately find yourself out of a job and the target of a pink lynch mob. Someday historians will write about that long-gone period with sad fondness: "Once, Americans believed in free speech...then that all changed..."

  • Moo-aah!

  • i love how they mess with the bassist, but is he really gay? lol

  • Orgasmic

  • EPIC GAY :)))) again +5

  • kkkkkkkkkkkk muito massa!

  • how is the band called? And the album of this song?

  • Frank Zappa, man.

  • that guy on the keyboard lol!!!

    hes sooooooooooooooooo gay

  • =D This ish meh favorite song by Zappa! =)

  • That was SO gay!:)

  • fantastic =D

  • so funny, great job :-D :-D

  • He said "lets mine the harbor". I think the show was at The Peir in NYC. And I was there dudes. Zappa rules.

  • "Let's MIND the harbor" :)

  • "Let's MINE the Harbour" - referring to the mining of the Niceraguan port which led to the Iran/Contra affair.

  • I stand before you "owned".

  • Not at all, mate. An easy mistake to make, seeing that the audio is not entirely clear. I'm just one of those Zappa freaks who looks into all this stuff, when I could be doing something productive, like making a living :)

  • And your authority for this little bit of fantasy would be what?

  • They do it so well..HAHAHAHAHAHA.

  • wow!! i just discovered zappa. i didnt know he was so good in sucha an sarcastic way, but still serious..=D

  • HHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

oh gosh, lol, that sent me laughing

  • Sounds great live!

  • WHAT THE FUCKKK XDDDDDD

  • Is that Jeff Pocaro on Drums?

  • wth?

  • It's William H Macy singing haha!

  • you know i used to really hate frank zappa but but now that im a little bit older and have my sick sense of humer i love dis shit

  • this guy has the weirdest songs

  • If you think Zappa is weird, you should check out Captain Beefheart, another genius.

  • he dosen't compare with Frank

  • Beefheart is amazing.

  • The keyboard player is amazing... like he's hilarious and legitimately has an awesome singing voice haha

  • legendary bobby brown... :)

one of the greatest pop-vocalists ever :D

  • bobby martin. amazing

  • His evening's not complete, without some meat in the seat...

    Genius lyrics :^)

  • Hahaha! very funny!

  • who's the guy singing hi up?

  • That's Bobby Martin

  • The guy on the keyboard in the man-thong.

  • its so catchy

  • thats amazing!

  • Simplemente.... Zappa.

  • Frank Zappa is awesome and so is this song

  • wow this is a halarius song!!!

    He's so gay

  • Featuring the multi vocal talents of William H Macy! ;)

  • my fav part is when frank says that the bassist is gay!

  • Hahaha Jævli braa ! Genius ! xD :D

  • keyboard player cracks me up

  • GIA SI VEDE K E DEL VECCHIO FRANK

  • fuck! I love this song!!!!

  • poyzork-you are soooo gay.

  • Are you sure you know which one is the bass player? Cause he is the one in the plaid shirt with the BASS... And he definitely has a chin...

  • I think that's colaiuta, is that colaiuta? I think its colaiuta.

  • No thats Chad Wackerman

  • It's Chad Wackerman

  • If I wasn't gay, I would play this song even in my car anyway. Maybe not my anthem, but there's nothing but the truth. Cool song!

  • if i was gay this would be my anthem :D

  • is there a dvd of that concert?

  • Yes. 'Does Humour Belong in Music'.

    'Tis very good.

  • Yes, the DVD is called 'Does Humor Belong In Music?' 1984.

  • zappa is probely the most funnyist textman who havde livde, and at the same time the most musiscal man ever lived. heard at the last of his living he walkt the beach picking up wood from the see just to put electric in it to hear what it sound as. of cours if ju have a multidollarstudio at home, what to do hehe

  • i dont catch what you mean after saying sea

  • what you mean put electric in it?

  • Hahahaha hilarious.

  • this makes me touch my ball bag.

  • zappa is just a legend a funny one

  • lol 1:03.

  • i'm not sooo gay.maybe a little bit happy.i'm confused.somebody help me.i'm falling off my chair.oh!my.

  • ahahahahaha 1.32

  • It's okay! He's okay! He rules the city in a way!

Love the gay little melody! Brilliant song!

  • what album is this from if any? "you cant do that on stage vol. 6"?

  • i think it's from thing-fish

  • YOU'RE ALL GaY!!!

  • It's not dumb, just making fun of gays. If we're all equal, everyone can be made fun of, that's fine to me.

  • true true

  • actually the song is making fun of people who hate gays.

  • i don't care if hes gay or not, the song is funny as hell

  • I think Frank Zappa was about as far from being gay as a person could get.

  • lol, rotfl, XD Zappa is awsome!

  • what an eclectic (couldn't think of another word) group of men we have here...totally kick ass song though.

  • are they gay ?

  • No i was joking!

  • Frank Zappa, Keyboards man and bassist are geniously. And obviously, gay. ;)

  • The black guy is Ray White and the singin keyboarder is Bobby Martin.

  • What is the black guy with the sunglasses name and the Keyboard players name?

  • By the way, I saw the Zappa Plays Zappa show last year with Dweezil. I would strongly suggest thay any Zappa fan go see it. It was f-ing great!

  • It's Chad Whackerman on drums. Zappa was cool.

  • This song makes me laugh. I love how upbeat it is, and the vocal harmonies add so much to it.

    Frank Zappa was the man.

  • This song sure is gay :)

  • This is why my father named me Frank. I shit you not. Well, not this song in particular.

    Zappa is teh roxorz

  • hmm looks like bill gates drumming...

  • Which album was this from?

  • I believe it was from Thing Fish.

  • Thanks!!

  • That guy at the keyboards was really getting into playing the role...lol.

  • Zappas so unbelievably ahead of the times... didn't it take till about 2003-2004 for the kinda 'metrosexuality' fad?

  • Maybe homosexual is just such a homosexual word that I like to write homosexual. Or maybe homosexuals are just so obssessed with telling us all how homosexual they are, it makes me laugh. It's a bit like black people or muslim people going on and on and on about their blackness, muslimness, homosexualness....I find it fucking hilarious. Hence the repetition...because it seems to me as a heterosexual who isn't muslim or black that that is all these jokers like to talk about. Hahahahahaha.

  • Don't get me wrong; I loved Zappa since I heard "Absolutely Free" in 1967. He shaped the way I think more than any teacher or preacher ever did. But I was dismayed when FZ did songs like this or "Bobby Brown." This is a man who wrote a song 40 years ago that said "There will come a time when you won't even be ashamed if you are fat?" What happened to that sort of tolerance. I don't find "He's So Gay" funny at all. FZ's Mothers material was much funnier and smarter.

  • have you seen a tv show in the last ten years?every show has a gay on it... its ok i guess cuz i hate the tv...tv is gay!merp

  • Yes I've seen plenty of TV. "The Young and the Restless" is a show that hasn't had a gay character on it in the 28 years that I've watched it. Just because gays have made progress in being more accepted (although this month's election makes one wonder if that is true,) doesn't excuse a dumb song like this. Especially when performed by someone of FZ's intellect.

  • delivery for a mr peeltower? we have one sense of humour here from ebay.

  • This is such a hoot!

  • oh!and how did it taste!!

  • peeltower-you just said a mouthful-did you enjoy it?

  • It was a joke son....didn't YOU enjoy it? I was joking.

  • Wtf man get over it. Am I gay? No i'm not. Do I care? NO I DONT CARE ABOUT GAYS

They do their thing, I do my thing.

  • I don't think this song is very good because all the singers are acting like homosexuals and they can't all be homosexuals....can they? Is everyone in America a homosexual?

  • Yes, everyone. That is why Florida and California voted against gay marriage.

  • xheartshapebox- it was love at first hear for me- but maybe your teacher had to listen to a few songs before reaching that point-teachers cant really adveritise liking someone who is so politically honest

  • we were talking about frank in my music class today. The teacher announced that she felt zappa was an aquired taste, that not alot of people can listen to him and enjoy his music...

i found this really hard to take as (in my opinion its not true), the man is a musical genius, his energy and presence shits on most of the music around today.

  • FRANK ZAPPA IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!

  • <33333333333333 kärleken är äkta true l0ove

  • "Without some MEAT,OOF! in the SEAT!"

love the guy on the keyboards' chorus

  • whats the name of the bassist?

  • so was frank packing the fudge or have i missed a joke?

  • This song is the most played on my ipod. I love it.

  • Embarrasing

  • I love Frank Zappa!

  • your so vain you probally think this song is about you

  • this is so funny. backing vocals that guy on the keyboard is ace

  • Bobby Martin

  • music is the best.

  • This video proves that Stephen Hawking used to be a great drummer ;)

  • Bahahahahaha! I havn't laughed like that in a while! thx man :3

  • i heard somewhere that it was Frank Zappa that gave the idea of the wah wah pedal to jimi hendrix, is this true?

  • He's the one who told him about it and showed it to him. Alice Cooper once said that he saw Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa jam together once and Frank was playing stuff that made Jimi's jaw drop in amazement.

  • thanks dude ive been wondering about that for a while. thats hella crazy tho.

  • He's the one who told him about it and showed it to him. Alice Cooper once said that he saw Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa jam together once and Frank was playing stuff that made Jimi's jaw drop in amazement.

tell the roy buchanan live in austin video they didn't believe me.

Jimi was GREAT but a bit overated, Frank, Jeff Beck, Roy Buchanan AND Steve Vai could play with him ANY DAY

  • I would die to see some sort of interaction between Buchanon and Zappa

  • daer frank is so smart....he so gay...love it soo true

  • can someone explain to me why this guy is a legend. i'm not trying to be sarcastic i really want to know. i've looked at like 20 videos of his and....am i missing something? the concepts of his song structures are neat but...i don't think they're necessarily legendary. he's kinda funny i guess but based on the amount of people that love him i expected a lil more.

  • hey, have you ever heard of chuck norris?

  • You had to be there at the beginning before Frank became fixated on Junior High humour... Try searching for MOTHERS OF INVENTION ... Trouble Coming Every Day ...

  • 20 videos is nothing when you consider this guy recorded 60 or so albums. Such an artistic fertility alone makes him a legend. He explored so many musical regions I don't know of one single person that likes _all_ Zappa stuff. He always cared more about the art than compelling to the mass audience anyway. Add to that, that he was one of the best guitar players ever and probably _the_ smartest guy in the showbusiness and you've got your answer.

  • You either get or you don't.

It's really messed up stuff if you don't understand, but musically it's great and creative, and he really just goes after lyrics and is raunchy.

Hard to explain. I hated him at first, but after a while he grows on you and you learn the genius.

  • zappa is the best

  • ahhhhhh "lets mind the harbor" X3 that was funny

  • hahaha

  • "Lets mine the harbor!"

  • LMFAO brings back some good times

  • Someone put up the amazing cover of "The Whipping Post" from the end of this video!

  • zappa is god

  • WHAT DVD IS THIS FROM PLEASE X

  • This is on the very excellent "Does Humor Belong In Music" video. It was re-released on DVD recently and was a VHS release years ago.

  • yea, its really hard to define frank zappa's type of music. He has so many different genres, he really is an amazing musician

  • Frank Zappa Grande !!!!!!!

    lol che attori XD

  • The best song in the world xD

  • XD XD

  • I found this video by mere coincidence. This is the very first time I listen to Zappa.

Always thought he was something like Hendrix or Led Zeppelin. It's always good to find some good old music and learn from it.

  • Well, this song doesn't sound like Led Zeppelin or Hendrix at all, but if you listen to his earlier songs you're going to find more similarities. If you like Jimi Hendrix I think you might like "Muffin Man" or "Willie the Pimp"
