Hi, I picked up a Casio Wademan digital compass watch at a charity shop last week, I have not tried it yet as I had to send off to Amazon for the batteries but am looking foreward to seeing if it is ok. Do you know much about the wademan compass model? I cant imagine how the compass works, the bezel rotates though, that much I know. Thanks.
Can you tell me is this watch does a 10 and 1 setting for a runner who has to have it vibrate every 10 minutes and then 1 minute and ten then 1 for about 3 hours? I am marathon training and have a hearing disability. I need to have a sports type watch that will vibrate. Found one (Speedo) but tehy won't ship to Canada.
@sonofthedestroyer Very well-said. I'm quite surprised with so many watch companies that are making time-pieces so unnecessarily complex. I recently wanted to purchase a tough watch that would just tell me the time. I admit that there was little to choose from. Ask for a chronograph and see the dozens of watches you get! I guess I will settle for a Marathon J SAR though it does dent the pocket a fair bit!
Hi, I live in the U.K and cant seem to get this watch anywhere, not even on e-bay by japanese seller! The closest I can find is a GW-9100-1. Its tough solar, atomic but a GULFMAN with the mudman syle buttons. Have you heard of this? if so would you recommend? Ive built a nice little collection of the tough solar g-shocks. The vibtating alarm is a nice touch on the gw-400,Cheers.
yes, they can. But if you put it directly under a very bright light source, such as a halogen lamp, for an extended time at close range, it can heat up a quiet a bit.
Casio puts the little round dial that has the seconds in it on a lot if watches. I think this feature is pretty useless and I don't know why they do it other then to make the watch look for informational.
Fabulous watches indeed!, this is my favourite brand, I can´t understand why so many people today consider Casio watches as timepieces for "nerds", and prefer to spend a fortune on other posh brands, watches not even featuring daily alarm or calendar...these Casios are virtually everlasting, I love them, above all the retro and vintage digital Casios from the 80s
I have a Casio G-SHOCK DW-5600 watch with the 691 module. This watch is 18 years old, it's in perfect working condition and I have never had to change it's battery, yeah, that's right!, it still has the very same factory-installed battery.

Is this the only g-shock that vibrates?! that's the best feature ever. Alarm even when you are listening to music or have loud noises around.

This is so absurd!

'Its nice to have a subtle watch'
LOL there is nothing subtle about a G-Shock. Even the name says it all. Such a bulky watch is indeed a shock

If you are having trouble finding the watch, just go to the G-Shock website and you can buy it there. It may or may not cost more.

i agree, think they can get rid of that little round dial and make the display of the regular time bigger than it already is.
