Listen to them, compare them to the studio version, and there's not much of a difference. Besides, do you think you can do better than Amy? Because she's doing one heck of a job. Not only is she singing, she's headbanging and running around stage. See her performances when she's sitting at the piano, she gives a good performance. Carly is good too.

Carly is merely singing the dynamics as Ben wrote them, that's why she sounds so 'similar' to Amy. Really Carly's voice is lower, where Amy might be a Lyrical soprano, Carly might be more of a mezzo (a darker timbre). I think both have gorgeous voices and a lot of talent, there is no comparing really, since their voices are so different. The song itself is wonderful and I really love it just as is.

I LOVE the CD version of this song, but this performance wasn't all that great. It sounds as if she's having trouble singing and stressing her vocal chords...IDK, for now I think I'll just stick to listening to the CD.
Honestly, she ruined this song by doing it acoustically. I love the song on the album but this proves alot of those theories, look at the video labeled as The Truth, you should find it under We Are The Fallen & you'll see someone proved a few things that rose a few questions. She has a good voice, once everything's been mastered but acoustically, I don't think she's good, plus she kept moving in & out from the mic which also made it sound bad. just my opinion.

@BrainDeadIntellect Amy can sing live. Watch her live performances at the Grand Ballroom at New York in 2009, search for them in the search bar. Listen to them, compare them to the studio version, and there's not much of a difference. Besides, do you think you can do better than Amy? Because she's doing one heck of a job. Not only is she singing, she's headbanging and running around stage. See her performances when she's sitting at the piano, she gives a good performance. Carly is good too.

@anx1106 Well first of all just because 2 bands sound alike doesn't make them copycats.. just because 2 different companies make mayonnaise.. doesn't mean there copying the idea of making mayonnaise. They were inspired by Evanescence so what, Amy lee drew inspiration from Mozart in Lacymosa.. does that mean she's copying Mozart.. it inspired by it. Plus, WATF uses high pitch notes and are not as dark and they're lyrics are not as deep as amys. This Ev WATF war should stop.. damn

Carly is merely singing the dynamics as Ben wrote them, that's why she sounds so 'similar' to Amy. Really Carly's voice is lower, where Amy might be a Lyrical soprano, Carly might be more of a mezzo (a darker timbre). I think both have gorgeous voices and a lot of talent, there is no comparing really, since their voices are so different. The song itself is wonderful and I really love it just as is.

So it is the band from Evanescence, so what..... I think Amy is amazing, but Carly is doing a great job and giving me some more music to listen to. A lot of their music is real similar to the old Evanescence, but so what. I'll buy the CD or get it on iTunes.

i just dont like her voice. she goes really deep when shes trying to belt out, and it sounds like shes distorting her voice. I just dont like it. i guess thats my opinion and im allowed to air it. but she has changed her voice? she sounded so much better on american idol. i guess wrong choice of band.

I LOVE the CD version of this song, but this performance wasn't all that great. It sounds as if she's having trouble singing and stressing her vocal chords...IDK, for now I think I'll just stick to listening to the CD.

Honestly, she ruined this song by doing it acoustically. I love the song on the album but this proves alot of those theories, look at the video labeled as The Truth, you should find it under We Are The Fallen & you'll see someone proved a few things that rose a few questions. She has a good voice, once everything's been mastered but acoustically, I don't think she's good, plus she kept moving in & out from the mic which also made it sound bad. just my opinion.

Will you all quit whining about the whole Amy/Carly thing? They're two separate people in two separate musical ensembles, and they're probably both sick of the comparisons. The sound of Evanescence these days is completely different than the sound of We Are The Fallen, and there's no law saying that you can't enjoy both. If you're not willing to give both bands a chance, then don't bother telling the rest of us what to think.
