now if you put a tungsten target you will have xrays and if you put a few wires in that tube you could probably make a basic triode or something! LOL great job crobb. what i did is real, i just havent had time to keep the tests going, and it keeps raining, my coils are on a cardboard roller so i dont want them to sag. the 20 ft wireless transmission is real , the dirt was all that seperated them!
yes it will hold for days,,, but not afull vacuum i think ineed a shut off valve close to the hose end, cause when ever i unscrew the hose a little i lose some vacuum and the appearance of the electricity changes
That is why you cant get an engine to start if you cut off the groung pin on the sparkplug. You get spark in open air, but in the engine the air gets more dense and blocks the spark.
Air has lower resistance than a vacuum. ok......

Looks like the vacuum allows the electricity to travel easier

cool that works well-how low can the jug go?-now you can add all sorts of gasses and stuff in there and zap it.
got a MIG welder?throw some gas in if you do;}
try and get a rotating brush like gilbondfac has done

Good experiment!!
Hey, did this means that in vacuum, the spark will travel longer?
I mean, did the vacuum decreased the path resistance??
Thanks!!
Keep it coming!!

yes, the vacuum is making the air/amonia vapor a path of least resisence.
