Just LISTEN to her voice for once, she got SOUL in her voice like very few singers of her generation, and she's also the closest to Stevie for vocal style. Stevie recorded "So Amazing" with her and praised her voice more than once. They also sang "Signed Sealed Delivered" at the 2003 Divas Duets and sounded absolutely perfect together.
No one can mess up this song..... it's timeless and one can only hope to live up stevie's version. Most of the time they don't, but at least they try. That's all that matters, no politics involved.

What's with Beyonce? Personally if I go to a concert to hear Beyonce I don't want to pay to hear her sing classics from old time greats. She is not that big. I could imagine the audience is quite disappointed. This is bullshit.

Beyonce is great but look at her audience. They are white people that are in their mid 30's to 60's. Could they really appreciate soul music. What's with the hostility? That was good. It was tight, musical, got the croud going. If you see Stevie, he engages the crowd in the same sort of way. She has top musicians with her too. Some of them probably even tour with Stevie.

Beyonce is great but look at her audience. They are white people that are in their mid 30's to 60's. Could they really appreciate soul music. They probably couldn't have soul if you paid them a million dollars. B was still doing her thing because she is so professional. She was trying to make them have a great time and they just stood there as if they were glued to the spot. That is a culture differnce that I have noticed between the older and younger generations of whites. Sad but true.

Cant say i agree with that at all. Saying white people can't appreciate soul is like saying black people can't appreciate classical music. Its simply not true. And if i was in that audience i wouldnt be jumping around clapping either because her rendition of this song was absolutely terrible... although the band did well.

I'm white, I'm Italian, I really appreciate (and play) soul. I listen to every kind of music, from classical to jazz, and it's a pity that you only listen to music only if it's "black" or "white". To be fair, I see that many americans seems to have this strange behaviour... I'm sorry for them... by listening to only 50% of the music, they're having only half of the fun I have! :)
