Better than a webcam, get a FlipCam to make vids. FlipCam rulez for simplicity. I am completely technologically challenged and even I can do it. It has its own built in software for uploading and the camera has a thingy that springs out of it that plugs right into USB port. It costs under $150. It only holds 60 minutes, but for short vids at home you don't need more.
