  • well well well.. 240p we meet again!

  • T_T </3

  • I hated the game for it's story...but fuck it's music and gameplay were awesome.

  • @PsychoAnon Same here. Only reason actually I won't sell my FFX-2 game

  • lol the voice is way too low for yuna.. XD shes only 19 here.. the english voice works a lot better

  • @chocmintsify hehe, actually the singer was around that age as Yuna at that time.... well she got more popular in japan after this game...

  • It sounded nice but for some reason I actually like the english version a bit better. I think it is because of the duet with Lenne and Yuna. It just has more impact on me.

  • i still find myself liking japanese vocal better :)

shuin and lenne had such a sad ending... :(

  • I'll never understand the hate for this game. I loved Final Fantasy X-2. I wish they'd make Final Fantasy X-3.

  • I love the Japanese version. But that voice doesn't fit Yuna.

  • Can I know something? Is this the original scene? Because the sceneries from Japanese to English aren't the same, in english you see Lenne and Yuna sing back to back, but here, Yuna only glows and Lenne too. You don't see them together... Makes more sense, but the clip is better in the english version... But the english song of the full length sucks compare to Japanese, but I prefer English in the short version

  • @viveliam Yes its the original i just saw it, they are diferent

  • I prefer the Jap version too. It's much more beautiful and true

  • Trolololololol

  • =o in this version yuna and lenne dont sing together...huh.

  • Japanese version is better than English versions !!!!

  • yo peoples it fits Yuna better cause you played the game in English but if you were to play it in japanese you'd think that japanese fits her :p

  • i think the english version ver. had a lot more emotion and was better, and i'm a subs over dubs person. regardless they're both amazing.

  • Toll *-*

  • Can someone give me the Japanese lyrics for this song please? Thankx

  • I've taken Japanese for three years and I feel so proud when I hear せんのことば(sen no kotoba). That means 1000 words. Sorry Youtube people, just a bit of a pride rant, haha.

  • i like both, this one sounds good in it's own way, just as the english version does, although i'll give the english version this, the duet was reeeeeaaaally awesome and at least it ended with something more meaningful then "la la la" (not trying to diss the jap version, just saying)

  • I like the original version. English version changes words, and it can never do the job the original one does.

  • the better version !

  • dunno why i like this version better~

  • I prefer this one to english. But both are breathtaking....

  • Comment removed

  • Idk. I prefer the English version. It just seemed more meaningful to me when they showed Lenne and Yuna singing together. And as much as I like Koda Kumi's voice, I think everyone will agree that it doesn't really match Yuna's voice.

  • I like it better when lenne and yuna sing side by side.

  • I remember watching this clip every day..... 5 years later I finally started to play the game.

  • She coulda just stripped if she wanted people's attention

  • arrghhhh why have i not played ff10-2 yet!?!?

  • Yunas body, koda kumis voice perfect! Lol

  • haha i just notice at 3:21 the voice and movie don't match up x)

  • Hmm... Just noticed that the scenes where Yuna and Lenne sing together on the same screen are gone. O_o I mean, makes sense since there's no second singer, but it felt more right with Lenne right there instead of interchanging them.

  • I think the song is great in both languages...but I think the english version is alot better for Yuna to sing.

  • How come Lenne and Yuna have the same Dress Sphere?

  • @KuchikixRukiax play the game be4 asking... -.-"

  • @WitchOfDimensions FF--- i did....3 years ago when i was a kid XD ...plus i skipped all cutscenes

  • @KuchikixRukiax LoL epic win! XD

  • @WitchOfDimensions Lmao XD

  • i love this song; both the engilsh and japanese version are great

  • The Japanese version has a lot more emotion in it but the English singing fits Yuna a lot better - and that isn't something I usually say because English dubbing usually sucks.

  • @Araceil13J I totally agree!

  • i like this version better but ill be honest. the voice doesn't fit yuna.

  • i don't like japan version..

    and i don't understand

  • This, the Japanese version is the best. But better still is the Japanese orchestral version!

  • This gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it

  • I love the Final Fantasy series soo much. I know how some people like the english version better than this version, but for some reason, I am one that chooses Japanese versions over English versions

  • American version is better for the song

  • wow the girl whit long hair is realy beauty.. "Lenne"

  • look at the title, you misspelled Version

  • FREE CONCERT!!!!!

  • The Pros ( really?) and Cons( huh?) of FFX-2 English version Vs Japanese version:

English version; Lenne's eyes are too big, true. But the english version duet sounds nicer. Lenne doesn't look as yellowish or goldish in Japanese Version

Japanese Version: More emotion and Lenne looks more like a normal human with no huge eyes.

  • @xcherrybunniex1997 Actually...I actually know people who has bigger eyes than Lenne xD And other people with yellowish skin too :3

  • @YiPrincess Lmao. How Unique. xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @xcherrybunniex1997 Yup xD My friend who has bigger eyes scares me D: Lucky she wears glasses :3

  • Oui, sur la version jap, c'est un solo alors que que sur la version anglaise, c'est un duo. A choisir, la version jap est meilleure.

  • On the english verison Lenne and Yuna are doing a duet, it seems like they are fighting for attenion and they made Lenne's eyes to big. I preffer the Japanese verison cause it has more emotion than the english one.

  • Tout simplement sublime !!!

  • i love this song

  • 11 people are guards with gun

  • In that scene where Lenne and Shujin gets shot, Shujin always reminds me of Cloud... Cause his eyes look SO freaking blue! And with the blonde hair...

And I, like several others, prefer the english verion of A Thousand Words... Though oddly enough, I prefer the japanese version of Real Emotion.

  • Of course the Aeris effect happens and they die with one shot lmao BUT in battle you can take a hundred hits and use phoenix downs lolz.

  • lol for once the english version is finally better.

  • Well it's certainly not bad, but I think it fits Yuna quite poorly, especially considering how much higher her normal voice is in Japanese.

  • 11 Ppl disliked this video because they dont have a life

  • Pour Moi Koda Kumi chante super bien mais Jade a mieu fait 1000 Words :S par contre Koda Kumi et mieu sur Real Emotion comparer a Jade :)

  • this song really so good i hear too many times i will cry it

  • Wow this is so dif then the English one OoO

  • 2:49 OH NOEZ I GOT SHOT

  • In my opinion, neither the English nor Japanese version sounds anything like Yuna's voice actor. But based entirely on this song, I like the Japanese sung voice better.

  • @mayorquimby87 me too, im mean I agree with everyone, her voice is too deep for yunas character, but shes sings the song very well and her voice sounds amzing with both the songs she does in ffx-2.

  • Even though this is the original, I think it's a shame that the scene, featuring Yuna singing together with Lenne, wasn't in the Japanese version, 'cause that scene really touched me and was the entire reason why I almost started crying each time I heard this song - I truly think I like the English version better, than the Japanese, BUT this one is pretty good too (well, it has to be, since it's the original!)

  • @SadisticFruitcake Well, I haven't played any FF game (le gasp!) but from my outsider perspective the Japanese one is definitely better just because that scene isn't there. I mean, it looks like the girls are fighting for the attention rather than singing a duet :/

Then there's Koda Kumi's voice... this was the first time I heard it and I'm completely in love with it! It just got that umph! The English one doesn't really match up to it (in my opinion and preference).

  • It's confusing how Yuna turned into Lenne -_-

  • @celinacabudol

Don't you pay attention during the story sequences? ._.

  • Wow, I didn't realize that the last minute of this cutscene was different from the US version. The US version has that ghost girl singing back up at the end. And an extra part where she sings the last part of the english song. Interesting...

  • i love this song better in japanese cause it has more emotion

  • @xcherrybunniex1997

I never noticed her eyes b4 until I read ur comment and I had 2 go back and look @ the english verison again. I totally agree with u.

  • @NeverLetGo04 I guess that maybe they though the English version could probably be more anime-ish or sth. Though, i really prefer the Jap's version of Lenne's eyes cuz it shows more emotions in it :)

  • I personally like the English version better.

  • wow.... it touches me more in the japanese version.... *cries so much laptop dies* ;w;

  • I dont knoe...koda kumi's voice is beautiful but it TOTALLY doesn't fit yuna and I like the concept of both of the girls singing together in the english version. I also don't like the "la la la" as the ending of the song, sounds weird...

  • It suits Yuna more than the english one.

  • The Japanese one is more subtle; Yuna appears stronger.

  • WOAH WOAH the animation is wayyyy different O.o

like the English more just cause that.....

  • i kinda like both ver., english and japanese, but i like the japanese ver. more cuz i feel that its sadder....TT

  • well that my personal opinion SUCK IT UP i still love JAP vocalist

  • the japanese version is more powerful than the english version.. but both gave me chills.. and that only happens if the song is really good.. and this song is really good

  • @owlbuo well I never said either were bad, I just said that the CG in them is different, like in the english version it's Lenne and Yuna but in this one it's one or the other. But yeah both are VERY beautiful, one of my favorite CG scenes ever.

  • Comment removed

  • Whew, good thing NTSC/PAL got the better version. The duet was a whole lot better, imo.

  • @SnowflakeVaan They have the english version in FFX-2 International+Last Mission

  • @SnowflakeVaan That's what I'm saying! So much better

  • i like the scenes from the english version when yuna was slowly becoming becoming Lenne instead of the glowing scene in this video but i i prefer 2:40 as the character's faces(such as Lenne you can go compare with eng version) looks more real with more obvious emotions instead of *virtual anime type* cuz the eng version Lenne's eyes were bigger O_O and looked wierd..

  • @xcherrybunniex1997 holy shit dude ur like 13 according to your name, thats cool you mustve been like 5 when ffx came out lol good to see the younger generation keeping ff alive

  • @theophilis haha lol. Great! :)

  • @theophilis My little sister is 13. She grew up watching my brother play FFX and says its her favorite. =)

  • @JocelynJEG aww thats really sweet:)

  • I <3 Koda Kumi

  • you spell version* wrong

  • Jade sounds a lot more sweeter

  • Huh... the english and japanese are different when it comes to the scene itself...

  • @tapmem but both are very beautiful one is more gentle and the other one a bit more pop but still both rock

  • hmm idk i think both are both great! its hard to decide x.x...

  • i like this one better than the english version it

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever

  • honestly, i think this song sounds better in english. koda kumi's voice is far to deep

  • i've always preferred the english version -- koda kumi sings it really well but her deep vocals just don't seem to fit yuna

  • Koda Kumi ladies and gentleman

  • kawaiiiiiii love her voice etc. all you other p2p already said the rest^^

  • I love Koda Kumi, but I think her voice is too deep for Yuna. >.> I watched some vids of FFX in japanese and there, Yuna has this little, breathy, high pitched voice. Unless they suddenly made her voice deeper in X-2 (which would be weird it itself, it'd be like her voice broke, or something, lol) this just sounds... weird as Yuna.

  • @rexana Her personality is quite different between the two games. She seems to have a lot more self-confidence in X-2 which when she talks she would feel more sure of herself giving the illusion of having a deeper voice.

Anyways, I like the English version more too. The singer is just better.

  • @rexana

Maybe it's the ghost girl singing through her about her song. :)

  • @rexana I think the point is it's never Yuna's voice when she sings anyway.. It's Lenne's voice. I haven't played in a long time but I think that's the reason no?

  • @ruty2004 Agreed. lol

  • First time i havr 2 agree dat da ENG version is better

  • in this version I liked Yuna when she transforms into Lenne and back, but I like it more in the english one where both sing together at the same time.

  • such a beautiful song :)

  • this song is based on when lenne was about to get shot she like smiles at shuyin that was when she was about to say i love you to him but was a little late those are th words left unspoken for 1000 years

get it 1000 words 1000 years

  • I prefer this video to the english versioned one - while the translation was really well done and had it's own charm, the fact that Len takes over Yuna and is the only one singing and projecting the scenes makes more sense. What with Len and Yuna singing back-to-back on the Celsius makes it seem as though Len suddenly got a body of it's own and not just a projection.

    C-A

  • For the video, I prefer the US/Pal version.

For the song, the Japanese versions a lot more soulful.

  • I love both versions - they're both excellent in their own ways. But for Yuna's character, I agree with those who say Koda Kumi's voice is too deep, and so I prefer Jade's version in the game... although I can somehow see this version being more appropriate for Lenne instead. Outside of the game, I find them equally good.

  • I've always thought that Koda's vocals were too deep for Yuna. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of hers, but she doesn't really fit Yuna's character imo.

  • the song is beautful and when yuna's sister and cloud's brother die together is sad it makes me cry cuz they loved each other so much that they would die for each other i love this song

  • @aitheststoner Yuna's sister? Cloud's Brother? I think you got the story line cofused no offense

  • maaaaan this is waaay better and I love the fact that it's not a duet :D

  • '-' i must admit, i like the part in the english version where lenne and yuna are back to back!

  • I love this version way better, japanese voice acting just has more of an effect of things emotionally.

  • @shahua12345 I agree - from the english anime I saw and heard, they seem rather forced at times. Japanese seems more natural - although there are some good english versions.

    C-A

  • I like the english version WAY better. I love that song!

  • japanese sounds so much better than the english even tho i cant under stand

  • love it

  • Anyone but me notice this is completely different from the english version after 1:50?

  • @GenifaFFVII ya the videos r different

  • @siethegothgirl I like Hedy Burress better personally.

One thing I think all of us must admit is that Rick Gomez is by far better then the Japanese voice actor for Zack and Gipple. Anyone with me?

  • you are right and i love this japanese version because i can feel the emotion in the song, it makes me cry T_T/sob

  • This song - wether english or japanese version - gives me goose bumps!

    C-A

  • why's her voice so deep?

  • in my opinion, the person voicing yuna and koda kumi's singing voice is like completely different. koda kumi's voice is kinda unique so its a good thing that she singing in this game but the voice actress of yuna is totally different so it sounds a little weird after u listen to the voice and the song.

  • wow that the voice of koda kumi... i really really like that voice of koda kumi

  • dude i have to get the lyrics to this

  • it didn't hit me 'til just now but the english and japanese versions have different clips.. the english has a duet while this one has none but transitions of Yuna to Lenne and vice-versa

  • With all this discussion on singing . I gotta say.

    Lenne is hotter than Yuna.

  • wat r u talking about.. the voice does not fit her.. cuz in the japanese version her voice is higher.. very higher pitched.. and then bam in this scene her voice is suddenly deep? no it doesnt fit her.. however in the english version it wasnt THAT different

  • Now, I'm not talking about about whose voice is better but I want to say smthing about the scenes. I notice that part 2:40's, Lenne's smile in Eng version and Japanese version had slide difference.

  • to the people who keep saying the Japanese one has more emotion in it.. . i beg to differ -- now everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but both singers are talented and sing with emotion(sweetbox has lots of very meaningful songs... whereas koda kumi... um *cough*). but the added camera effects and effects actually seem to make the NA ver much more dramatic. although i do like the idea of lenne "struggling" to get her feelings out in the original, too.

  • Thanks so much for updating, still now ,im loving this song very much,i cant hear this song without my tears.

  • yuna sounds mid age

  • The English one is shorter, and has different clips from mid-way to end O.o

  • @FinalFantasyFan1996 they're the same length.

  • Koda Kumi :'D

    Love this version....

  • lol........ no no this is not lol its nlol/ its ncololtshhh you don't know my words its 1000 words lol

  • japanese owns english sucks

  • The person singing doesn't sound like Yuna, it sounds like she sings at the end of an Inuyasha episode.

  • @RushaneMartin Well, its actualy not Yuna that sing it, its Lenne that actualy sing here, Yuna use the dress, the voice and the feeling that Lenne have when she die to sing. When you play/watch japanese version from the game and get til the end and meet Lenne the first time then you can hear that is actualy Lenne voice.

  • @Anny2311

    Well, true.

  • the video clip is different from english o.O

  • I think both versions' singing voices are a little too low for Yuna's regular voice :/

  • 2:25 NA NA NA LAAA LAAAAAA

lol thats what it sounded like xD

  • to b honest i would prefer the english 1 cause i understand it but this one is still gd but i dnt understand it

  • I don't know if many people understand the lyrics but I definitely feel that English lyrics goes along with the song better than Japanese. The voice sounds wayy too old for Yuna for me.

  • both versions are good...

still i like da english version

  • it's because its a japanese game translated to english. and the japanese singer fits yuna's voice more than the english one. and i agree this has more emotion in it.

  • @piggyloves

I don't think you understand that it only sounds more emotional because a Japanese person is singing it and they have a more smooth transition through each word makes it sound more soft. Oh, and the Japanese singer fits her more? I'm not saying all this because I played the English game. I've played the Japanese game first, but I don't agree. But I'll respect it's your opinion.

  • @piggyloves

You know, they're both great singers. I just enjoy the Japanese singer's deeper vocal range alot more. She reminds of like a Japanese Toni Braxton or something, lol.

That said....The japanese VO actually doesn't fit Yuna at all, because her voice isn't that deep. When i heard the JP songs i was like 0.o

  • who is singing this? Koda Kumi?

  • @crilith Yes. Its Koda Kumi

  • @crilith yes koda kumi~

  • for some reason Yuna singing this song looks unnatural, considering what her voice sounds like while she speaks.

  • I like the english version more than this one. I was getting confused from this version ^^

  • this song soo sad it makes you want to cry sometimes

  • why is the japanese verison is better than the enlish one... this one have more Emotion in it.. the english is alil party and emotion... i love this one this is have more emotion feelings into the song.. but both are great tho..

  • japanese was an interesting take on this. i played the english version so it was interesting to see the difference in both singing styles and how the cutscenes differed

  • Japanese song(voice) is the best better than all national song( voice) that i think ^^
