Oh my David Naughton!!! I used to love this movie when I was a teeny little girl in the early 80's and this movie was on HBO incessantly. I have hummed this song's refrain for years and no one, NO ONE knew what I was even talking about! Bless your soul for posting this gem! I remember having a crush on a the younger kid who ended up being Michael J. Fox. Hard to believe this is now almost ancient by modern standards, Go White Team (I always have a soft spot for nerds)!
