  • why dont they just paint it into UP colors instead of just ditching it?? Thats a very expencive piece of equiptment gone to waist!

  • 0:50, Wish that was my house there! Sit out back with the cooler & bbq pit and enjoy the rail traffic. :-)

  • I hope they scrap that piece of shit what a worthless paint scheme. Worst president in the history of the United States and you get a locomotive painted after you? Union Pacific really screwed up here.

  • EPIC HORN i love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • SWEETNESS!!!

  • Sounds like a Nathan Horn

  • i like this sound :)

  • Look! It's Train Force 1!

  • SWEEEEETTT!!!

  • Toller Sound, Top Video,Grüße vom Peter aus Germany

  • This isn't railroad one?

  • This horn is better than other SD70ACe

  • They should make an Obama unit

  • @fixierider97 I know. By CN. Obama 44 SD40-2 high nose purchased from NS (the locomotive)

  • @fixierider97 I agree!!! Then derail it....

  • The engine used to be on the MHOFW and the MFWHO and I've caught it several times. I haven't seen it at the roundhouse for a while. I have seen the SP engine and the Katy a few times the past month or so.

No they don't wash it all the time. I've been on it when it was pretty dirty. But there's no graffiti in it as some probably think there is.

  • redneks

  • Fantastic!

  • If this is the George Dumbya Bush, why isn't the locomotive facing backwards?

  • Geo H.W. Bush 41 is daddy Bush, but UP could name a wreck or a scrap yard after King Geo 43.

  • It a a shame that this unit is now in storage in Arkansas due to engine trouble. UP won't fix it up in this sour economy, who knows when it'll take back to the rails.

  • why dont they just call it operation disaster

  • In order for this section to be double tracked, signals on the south side will have to be moved south.

  • Im sure the neighbors loved that

  • hi, the movies is excellent, thanks ★★★★★

  • awesome catch!

  • What kind of horn is that?

  • K5LLA.

  • great catch!!! my favorite engine 4141! hope to have the chanse to ever see it again

  • if they ever made one with obama's name on it, it would be a disgrace to railroading and all those who enjoy it

  • I agree

  • The airforce one paint actually looks pretty good on this SD70ACe.

my favorite and got to be the best schem paint of all time

  • That 3rd crossing sounds like the SR348 crossing in Maricopa

  • how u did to take so many shots??

  • I'd say that the man loves a chase?

  • id woud have love to chase this engine once in a lifetime

  • How many of you idiots think that the UNIOn engineers like operating a REPUBLICAN BUSHECONOMICS locomotive! Jesus, get real soon we will have FEROMEX-UP and TFM-KCS as the entire rail system. What do you think NAFTA and BUSHECONOMICS are about? Free trade? It means no jobs for americans and our unions will be gone. Pray for a Democratic president! OBAMA!!

  • Love this unit and great horn! That horn reminds of the P5 horns on NS units. I wish more of those were in service.

  • id lay on the horn i love it

  • And another great catch!

  • It's all in the PRIDE OF THE EMPLOYEES, I always tried to do my part in keeping the cab clean at all costs, it just makes for a better job done when you do it, JUST DO IT! GREAT RAIL FOOTAGE OF THE 4141!

  • I work for UP in Houston, I've worked on this engine many times. Yeah they do keep it clean. Cleaner than all the others. Kinda ashame if you ask me. Wish they cleaned all of them like that one, especially the Flag Units.

  • A very good horn, better than a lot of standard K5LAs that are all too common. Some may hate the EMD 710 engine, but a lot of GE Dash-8s are being scrapped, almost all of them are less than 20 years old. There's a lot to be said about two-stroke reliability.

  • Heck, I think the EMD two stroke engine is the best sounding engine anywhere.

  • As per Silocon212, the EMD two-strokes also sound better than the GE fours, or any other locomotive engine brand for that matter. And again there's that reliability bonus. It really surprises me that the EMDs aren't dominant. Perhaps it's because GE makes cheaper (read: shoddier) equipment, both in price and worksmanship.

  • A lot of the old GE Universal Series locos (called U-boats by railfans) met the same fate in the 1980s because of the same reason. While there are 40 and even 50 year old EMDs still in everyday service. GO EMD!

  • Repaint it armour yellow and grey.

  • I'll give UP 5 more years before they repaint it.

  • I work for BNSF,probably be longer-whenever she derails/gets wreaked or needs an overhaul where they take her all apart, then they`ll repaint it. Some H1`s that where yellow/blue/or cascade green have been repainted a few times now that I know of. It`s a crapshoot.

  • Hey is it true that just like Air Force One they REQUIRE this engine (UP 4141) to be washed constantly so as not to accumulate any dirt and to maintain a VERY CLEAN image? I have been lucky enough to see Air Force One land at LAX ONCE before and hope I will be able to see this pass by my house. Oh and yes I know this Engine (UP 4141) is not Presidential but dedicated to George Bush SR.

  • I never heard of that.

  • @DaaYay Not that I know of. It hits the yard then goes back on the train headed the other direction.

  • @DaaYay No, they do not have to clean it, it does not represent the president either, it does represent the library named on G. Bush SR. For the airplane, the only reason they wash it, like any other airplane, is that they take less fuel when clean (when its rainy or snowing they even "wax" them with a special chemical that will prevent water or ice to stick to it for the next 10-20 minute, so they can takeoff and do not have ice building on wings), and dirt could clog instrument sensors.

  • junk horn junk engine take it for someone who run's them everyother day for 200miles but for the railfans glad someone likes them

  • Great horn. Great engine.

  • I LOVE THIS HORN!

  • Columbus, Texas.

  • Hey,

Where was that residential like setting at? I like it a lot. Glad to see another Houston area person on here.
