  • @SilvenceXavier the ride of the valkyries by wagner

  • ooh, cool.

  • looks like google earth

  • yeahh, the best scenery

  • Thanks for the links in the description buddy...

  • where did you get the scenery

  • For me is the best scenery SIRX2009

  • does this include good scenery of Lukla?

  • @3535washington : No.

  • @3535washington lukla x google it.

  • @ILemonHD

its not lukla x I have it and it cost $30, not freeware

  • @3535washington ohh, sorry

  • @ILemonHD

    np man

  • jizz in my pants!

  • one of the best fsx videos on youtube !!! :)

  • I've seen it in Real Live with the Mountain Flight experience from Boedha air. What an Experience!!!!

  • Mighty part at 4:34 5/5

  • The Scenery is really amazing.

How does it affect the FPS?

  • @Gorg5321 : Thanks. I didn't fly in the area before I got the scenery so I can't comment on the frame hit but the performance here is as good as or better than any of the default scenery so I would say the hit is negligible.

  • @1216saab : You need a game recorder like Fraps.

  • @pjvenner Or use the FSX Flight recorder ;)

  • @1216saab Thanks I did get fraps and am on my way to making great vids.

  • want the best freeware scenery for fsx\fs9?

    Tileproxy.

  • Got some STONES to fly a lear into that airport! :-)

  • wow it looks like a 3D picture :O great scenery !!

  • whered u get it

  • not sure which heading, but get your ass to delhi india (dunno airport) and keep going nort north east until you reach the himalayas and its one of the first mountain valleys.

  • the one that made this addon have copyed the mount everest from google earth

  • MUSIC IS LIKE KULTURSKOLAN IN JONKOPING

  • how can you get to Mt. Everest? What airport and heading?

  • @fgcarva1 Haven't played for ages so can't remember the precise heading but fly from Lukla [VNLK]. Turn left to a northerly heading as you gain altitude & you should see Everest in minutes.

  • @fgcarva1 start at "Lukla Airport" in Nepal

  • where did you download it?

  • @FMXPRO199 : I can't post links in here but if you expand the vieo info [directly below the video window] details are there. When you get to the sites search everest, or Frank Dainese

  • I have nvidia geforce and Idk know why it still isnt as good asyours what am I doing wrong

  • @acejakecool19982007: There's so many different things that can affect performance. In my experience the biggest hardware factors are CPU & RAM. If you Google improve fsx performance there's quite a few advice pages.

  • wow

  • does fsx need nvidia geforce

  • @TheHalim124 No

  • i have a gt240 and i can run ultra high and all sliders across in scenery so ultra ultra high lol. Ive updates my driver works great now that has increased fps.

  • pc.predetor

    intel quad core 2.6ghz

    2 nvidia 9600 graphics cards.

1.16tb hard drive.have space for two more

i am just about to test this scenery now

  • It should fly with that processor... no pun intended when I said fly!

Installing to a different hard drive to the OS made a noticeable difference on my comp.

  • @pjvenner ina good way?

im thinking of doing something like that!

you installed fsx on a different harddrive ?

  • @i5Alex Yes, In a good way. FSX is intensive on HDD I/O so it's best run from a drive that's not doing anything else whilst the game is running.

  • 27°59'19.41"N 86°55'28.81"E to get their quickly....

  • i think the mountains in uncharted 2 has better grapics .

  • @CobraProductionsTV yes but uncharted 2 only animates a small area, flight simulator x has the whole world...

  • Considering the massive amount of space harddrives now have. They could've easyly upscaled the resolution on the textures.

  • you can download maximum zoom textures from googlemaps. Stop complaining. XPLANE is about the user being able to do what he wishs.

  • go himalayas!

  • where i can buy fsx,,, stores>?

  • @cybervacan7 walmart is the easiest one because there are so many.

  • @cybervacan7 yea but make sure u get the deluxe its got some cool features and extra aircraft

  • best buy

  • Can Geforce 7600GS Play FSX on high??

  • No idea but FSX is more dependent on processor & RAM than the graphics card - although the card might come into play more if you use the DX10 preview mode.

  • Oh my processor is;

intel pentium 4, 1gb ram and Geforce7600GS (Overclocked)

  • not always

  • get an Nvidia GTX graphics card (e.g. GTX265, or GTX 285... they're the best ...

  • ya im planning to get that in an alinenware M15x turbo 2.8 GHz with 1GB Nvidia GTX 285 and 4GB ram, that should be enough to run FSX and CoD 4 and MW2 at max settings?

  • i wuldn't if i were u coz there too expensive and not worth the price... believe me ... get an ordinary case or a smilodon one, a GTX 285, ddr3 1600, two velociraptor 10000 rpm hard drives (one for fsx one for windows etc) aus P6T deluxe V2 motherboard and win7... i got exactly that i have graphics on the highest settings and get about 23 fps with a PMDG 747 in VC in Manhatten in a thunderstorm... u can save about 400 - 1000 euros... if u DIY or get a local PC shop to build it....

  • ya I was afraid that customizing one would cost much more ill look into it, thanks for the help!

  • Easily.... 1gb memory for a G card is just silly, but should be great!

  • this scenery will look great with my payware lukla scenery

  • Awesome video, the scenery looks so good! Is this really freeware, there is a lot of detail in the scenery! It looks very realistic!

  • Couldn't agree more! It's 100% free.

  • bapapapaapa bapapaaa!

  • wow is the only word that can come out of my mouth now!

  • pane requieres alot of lift at this height becouse the air is so thin up there

  • will all mountiasn and hills look sick?

  • This add-on only covers Mt Everest but the author Frank Dainese has similiar quality scenery available for a few mountain ranges.

  • Oh sorry didn't see itXD

  • Nice i downloaded it:) BTW what is the name of the song?XD

  • Thnx... the tune's called "ride of the valkyries".

It's in the 2nd part of the intro text ;)

  • Have you got the FTX Tasmania demo?

Now that is amazing! The whole of Tasmania covered in great detail! Try it! You'll think it's great! And best of all, it's 100% free!

  • nice music mate

  • where did u get it??

  • I got it from avsim but I'm not sure if that's fully operational. If you google "frank dainese" you should be able to find the scenery. Googling "himalayas mesh" should find a suitable hi-res mesh.

  • haha,nice,but seriously,,get a fighter,,there are many good freeware fighter jets

  • I hear ya, but I wanna fly, not fight. Most fighter jets I've tried fly like arcade planes from the 80s.

  • Hmm, would you mind telling the airport name/code of the nearest airport to everest? i don't know one.

  • sure. It's Lukla [VNLK]. Turn left to a northerly heading as you gain altitude & you should see Everest in minutes.

  • You can do this yourself very easily, for free and anywhere you want. Just get a good mesh and FSET. It's a simple program to use and makes amazing scenery!

  • I've googled FSET & found nothing relating to scenery design but I'm seriously intrigued! I've seen a few apps promising this and I've always been put off by the fact that something that sounds too good to be true usually is.

Would be great if you could post a vid showing a scenery you've made with it c/w links in the info. If it really is that good then it's just what I'm looking for.

  • Trust me, it's amazing, I've tried it for real on FSX and it's simply terrific. Unfortunately it's not nearly as good on fs2004, and I mostly use fs2004. Anyways, just google fs earth tiles, and in a few clicks you'll find a link to download it on fspassenger's website (firts result). Don't worry, you shouldn't be disappointed!

  • Thanks for the heads up, that's great news!

  • Very Nice!

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW !!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I wonder if you had all your settings to hiigh and maximum...it would be nice to know

  • I've removed & re-installed FSX since making this video so I can't remember the settings used, but in my new HD video of this scenery I've listed the settings I used for that in the info. The settings used here will have been similar.

  • awsome freeware

  • wow...how high is everest again? (in feet)

  • a little over 29000' .

  • Fraps. Edited in windows movie maker.

  • wow, amazing

  • Very impresive..Nice vid ;-)

  • lol use a helecopter

  • Airwolf can XD mach 1 + helicopter soon to be realeased to RC5 the developer edited the cnfg so that it flys like a normal helicoter but then press a button and the turboes engage goeing from 300kts to mach 1+ 9.8 seconds after igniton, then it preforms like a jet. =]

  • Where I can download this scenery? What's name is it?

  • I've added the download site info to the notes for this clip.

  • I just looked, it's defo there. On Avsim the filenames are everest_p1.zip & everest_p2.zip - make sure you're in the file library then search for those 2 names.

  • Ok I find it. How install this textures od FSX ?

  • Look at the notes on the left.

  • it's a shame you didn't even bother reading the TITLE before the CLIP

  • How do u put that on fsx

  • When you download the 2 zip archives from avsim [see start of video], extract the archive & you'll find installation instructions. It's basically just a matter of copying a few files to the addon scenery folder in your FSX folder, and activating it in the scenery library from the settings area in FSX. Good luck.

  • In real life it is impossible to do such thing cause there is no enough air at that altitude.

  • I never said FSX was realistic [quite the opposite in my other videos]], but which bit's impossible in this clip? At below 30,000' Everest's summit is well within the Learjet's 51,000' service ceiling.

  • do u know eny gd freeware airport scenery

  • Where are all the dead climbers???

  • You have to look real close. Because Everest is so vast, people appear as no more than specks in this video.

  • O.O they put that in there?!

  • is it directx 10 ????

    nice vid ¡¡

  • Hi, thank you. I can't remember if I had dx10 preview mode running at the time but I don't use it at all now, it interferes with some add-ons. Also, I use REX [Real Environment Xtreme] now & everything looks better with that than it did using dx10. [see my newest video for an example]

  • can I have this graphic on GeForce 5500 FX.... i am playing this game more than 4 years and i want better graphic i am playing it on this computter whit GeForce 5500 FX. I heard for something like FPS ?? but how what i dont know nothing about that... PLEASE TELL ME :D:D:D:D

  • You really need to upgrade your computer.. But go to Cessna154's channel (search it in youtube) and then in his video, search Better FPS. It increased my fsx perfomance by over 100%!

  • oh tnaks, and nice graphic an video

  • cool 5* what you used to record?

  • If I remember rightly I used FRAPS for this.

  • thanks, but i used fraps to do it too, the quality is great, only problem is that when i use fraps about 30 seconds is about 1 gb, how you lowered it?

  • fraps doesn't compress recordings on the fly [to minimise the hit on framerates] that's why the files are so huge. I used the fraps video to make the file I uploaded using windows movie maker but there's a bunch of programs available that will just convert the video to a compressed format... just search video converter on download d0t c0m.

  • THANKS, i heard that there is record program just for fsx on simvation . com, but i couldnt install it :(

  • what you used as your video converter?

  • I didn't convert. I used the uncompressed file in windows movie maker. The output from windows movie maker is compressed.

  • Nipple hardening view! LOL.. Classic :)

  • i have and AMD 64 live i think its 2.2 or 2.4 ghz 2 gigs of ram but its all slowed down by my video card its an ATI x550 do you thin i can run this at more then 10 fps?

  • Again, it's hard to say for sure. I'd expect you should do fine in most areas, possible getting a lil jumpy in dense scenery areas using high settings.

I've heard the processor & memory are far more important than the graphics card in giving FSX a smooth ride & my experiences seem to back this up. The card may come into play more if using the DX10 preview but in my opinion the changes in DX10 aren't that big a deal.

  • It looks better than Google earth to me... although I've not tried flying round everest in the 'hidden' flight simulator in google earth.

  • I'm getting a computer for Christmas and i was wondering how much frames per second i would get in fsx, please reply here are the specs:

    PROCESSOR:AMD TRIPLE CORE 8450@2.4ghz

    RAM:4GB DDR2

    GRAPHICS CARD:NVIDIA 9500 GS(512mb)

    HARD DRIVE:750GB

    OS:WINDOWS VISTA 64 BIT

    CHIPSET:NVIDIA 430

    DX10 GRAPHICS

    THANKS :D

  • There's far too many variables in FSX to hazard a guess at framerates. The biggest improvements I noticed were when I went from single core to dual and when I went from 1 to 3 GB of RAM - your computer is one up on both counts so should handle it very well. The Graphics card really doesn't seem to make that much difference in FSX.

Some tips: If you want to get the best do some googling for fine tuning FSX.CFG, and if possible install it on a secondary hard drive (that increases disc I/O speed)

  • Thank you very much for your help, I already have a 250gb external HDD anyway and that's what i keep my FSX and add-ons on. Also I'm you video has helped me get a perspective on how well my computer will work. Once again,

    Thanks.

  • You're welcome, but [to the best of my knowledge] a USB2/firewire external drive won't be as fast as an internal SATA drive - this is backed up by my experiences in trying to play HD video from my USB2 external.

I've now got a 1TB internal 'slave' drive but because FSX takes so much trial & error to get just right, it's going to be a while b4 I get to re-installing it, nevermind making new vids lol!

  • Ohh well, ill keep my music and vids on my external, and put fsx on my 750GB sata2

  • asome scenery. nice video, but i have proplem with mine! the old wone is still on so it is 2scenery in wone place. can you help me??

  • I'm no expert I'm afraid. All I can recommend is making sure that the new scenery is placed higher than the default scenery in the Flight Sim scenery library.

    Best of luck.

  • ok. but thanks =)

  • very cool!!

  • Where did you get this senery?

  • Avsim [it won't let me type a link so use google]. You need to sign up but it's free & safe, I've been on the site over a year with no problems. Once signed up, go to the file library. I sometimes have problems downloading from there in Internet explorer - that may just be my settings, but it works fine with firefox.

  • okay, i know how to add aircraft but i dont know how to add scenery, could you please message me or respond to this comment on where to put the downloaded file and then how to add it in the fsx database thing or whatever it is? thanks i love the vid btw.

  • Thanks for the comment. Adding scenery is usually pretty easy, instructions are usually provided in a readme file, but in brief, it's usually a case of copying the folder containing the scenery to the ADDON SCRENERY folder in your FSX installation directory. when you next start FSX, click the SCENERY LIBRARY button in settings. Then click ADD AREA and select the folder that you've just added. When you click ok to exit the scenery library, the job's done. Good Luck...

  • Any techies reading this... can I expect an noticeable increase in performance when I upgrade the PSU?

  • just wont to know if you still have that 250psu and if so any thing died

  • I still have it & it's still going strong :) It was running so well I completely 4got about it. Going to have to upgrade soon tho because I want to add an extra HDD.

  • lol love the video by the way

that is by far the best freeware lot of textures.

  • 'peeved mosquito' LOL, good vid btw/!

  • Thnx very much :)

  • No Probs ;D

  • yep wow...

  • wow...

  • why should it cause any damage to the components? simply put, it is just not enough power. it's like trying to run a marathon but you have only trained for 10K. It won't harm any components but at the same time it slows your system down.

  • I'm not quite sure, I only found out about the power requirement after getting the card - it was a bit foolish in hindsight but I just couldn't w8 to get the new card in [I only had GeForce 6150SE onboard graphics previously].

It's had 3 weeks of heavy usage now and nothing's fried... *WHEW!*

  • how the hell can u run 9600gt wuth a 250wat psu it will cause damage to ur componenets
