SRT-4 is like 235 stock and that Integra is like 165 stock...so just building off that motor gives you a better understanding of why the Neon won...but both the B18 and the H22 are bulletproof and the shitty 2.4's that Chrysler and Mitsubishi use are junk...trust me, I drive one...so in the end the Integra can take alot more power

And to the person above...motor weight isn't all the weight in the car. We don't know if anything was stripped out of either of those cars. 100lbs = .1 second off your 1/4 mile. The 2.4 is just an unreliable motor. My motor has had so many problems along with other friends with Neons. They just are built for the long run. I'm not talking sheer performance, I'm talking the overall life. And it's the same damn motor as the SRT-4's. I still think the SRT-4's are one of the nicest motors ever and I'm really not in favor of any motor. but my cousin has a Golf 1.8t with 550 hp and it's a stock bottom end and he's pushing about 43 psi of boost.

what car do u have? do u have the stratus 2.4? if so its nothing!!! like the SRT-4 motor! blocks might be similar in some ways but im sure uve had no porblems with the block! the internals are completely different. the SRT4 has a completely forged bottom and which is very reliable! and my point was if an srt-4 motor can take 650WHP with stock bottom end then it can easily take the stock 230 very reliably! ps i doubt ur cousin has a 550WHP! stock bottom end 1.8 but even if he does 550 isnt 650...

Secondly Porsches 3.8L is not small, sure its not a grotesque V8 but then again Porsche doesnt need a huge 5/6L V8 to make decent hp either. 3.8L is HUGE compared to 1.8L so clearly Porsche doesnt fall anywhere near this category. fyi Honda has a 3.4L V8 making 500bhp naturally. thats 140hp per Liter.
