I remember being a pathetic little 16 year-old high-schooler after a bad breakup, listening to this song for hours. I was never the one for chick flicks and ice cream after a breakup, so I spent the summer obsessing over Hellsing. When I heard this song and saw past the seinen blood and tits, I saw the characters, like Arthur and Walter, as complex and relatable. It seemed to comfort me (idk how XD), and I broke free of a 4 year-long struggle with depression. I will never, ever forget this song.

I can see why and how this song fits perfectly for DEMETER. It was the ship that Draclua was on when he sailed into London Harbor back in the 1800s. A big mighty wooden ship that so few realized brought them a monster.

@Ag0rak Although I totally agree with you, I can't help but note the Greek myth of Persephone, the daughter of Demeter (ancient Greek goddess of harvest), who was abducted by Hades to become his bride. The mourning sound of this track fits perfectly with that specific myth...

Not only is it the name of the ship that Dracula voyaged to England on, it is the Greek goddess that her Roman equivalent is taken from, Ceres, which is also a romanization of Seras' name. Demeter also holds domain over the cycle of life and death and seasons. I love Hellsing so much!

@katethegreat91 It's not a romantization of Seras' name. Ceres is Seresu. NOT Serasu. Hirano confirmed her name didn't mean anything, he made it up due to deadlines. He spells it Serouss when he writes it in English.

Now her surname, Victoria is a reference to the Swedish Princess Victoria Bernadotte. He call her the "Swedish" in joke in one of the Weather Reports of YKO.
