I saw these guys at Riverfest 1997 in Pontiac, Michigan and they ROCKED. During their set they sounded so tight and did each song perfect. Everyone in the crowd was dancing and I mean everyone.

I've been a fan of The Why Store for some years, tho I haven't exactly collected them (I have 2 CDs). And I've never seen a video before now. I'm not disappointed! Father the cop is scary! Chris Shaffer really makes it for me. I LOVE his voice! And the songs, tho consistent in voice and style, are all unique enough too (with Tom Petty, for example. I feel "you heard one, you heard 'em all). The Why Store isn't as famous as it should be, in MHO. I for one will be buying more. I LOVE it.

that is the most touching 'Eighteen and Life' rip off I've ever seen. It was so deep. I liked the part at the end. When his son visited him in prison, and showed him the pictures he colored of stuff his mom grew in the garden. I'm crying now................

Love their music, takes me back to my college days back in the mid 90s where it was played at every party. Saw them in the late 90s in Chicago and again just last night. Was kind of disappointed with the band last night, Chris (the lead singer) seemed to be too drunk/stoned and it was a weird show.

the why store just played last night at the bar i work at so i figured i'd check out some videos. i've worked their for 2 years and chris schaffer has played their 4 times since i've been their and let me tell you that that man is a complete fucking mess. before he goes on he sits in our beer cooler and smokes more weed than i have ever seen smoked by one man and then dissapears for a minute or two to do what ever the fuck else he's on(and i don't mean coke, cause he does that in their too)
