It's not that easy, actually. There is a good deal of work that goes into this, as well as some creative license taken. I also *never* use MIDIs off the net as they are often inaccurate; I actually rip the music data from the game's NSF and then re-sequence it properly into my DAW.

As for sticking a cool VST on it, there are all the articulations and dynamics to deal with as well, it's by no means plug-and-play.

But go ahead, try it your way, see how it turns out!
