  • He.s still the King.

  • Awesome video footage. Thanks for sharing.

  • wuuuuuuueniiiisiiimoooo

  • Elvis singed there....now bieber.......what is going on...

  • @TheGamegangsta2 What is going on is that you don't know anything about the English language....

  • The RCA 8 Track Tape of the show sound is the same as the 2 LP set that was never released.

  • Comment removed

  • The Saturday Evening show on June 10th actually had 2 LPs on RCA with Sides 1,2,3,and 4. but they were never released in all stores. From what I read the quadrophonic 2 LP set of the show actually sounds as good as the Aloha From Hawaii 2 LP set

  • The reason why the evening performance on June 10th was the only one of the 4 shows from June 9th to 11th that was released on RCA was because the other concert recordings has the sound recorded too fast no thanks to a-hole Colonel Tom Parker trying to fit more songs onto one LP instead of making all the concerts into a Double LP set with Sides 1,2,3,and 4 like all the shows should have originally been as Aloha From Hawaii was.

  • live MSG!"

  • I'm here to listen Elvis, I don't like Madonna and Lady Gaga, they have their own videos

  • kings and queens of music history:lady gaga,madonna kings:michael jackson,elvis

  • i think Elvis does this version better than tina, Elvis gives more power to it!

  • @drakeelvis tina is not on the same planet as this man ,come to think of it nobody else was and never will be

  • sacré elvis tu es et tu restera toujours le meilleur..

  • One day MJ said to God: "I want to be the best". God flashed an image of Elvis and said: "Already been there. " "Already done that!"

  • @ErichH68 OOOOo0o0o0o0o0 i like that!!! good quote! thumbs up bro

  • @ErichH68 They are both legends and sing different music genres so I don't really know why you brought MJ into this.

  • @ErichH68 what does elvis at the garden have to do with MJ? Are you one of those asswipes that cant get any pleasure out of just listening to a great artist and leaving it at that? You have to put up an argument about this one vs that one to have something to do

  • @ErichH68 at least mj wrote his own material

  • Amazing voice, GOD

  • awesome . .I never knew this show was filmed .. have owned the "As Recorded Live at Maddison Sqr Garden" album since the 70's. . never ever knew it was filmed. AWESOME!!!

    it was actually 8-16-1977

  • keigoe , ne

  • ilov ilove

  • l'homme le plus charismatique du monde! il n'y en aura jamais d'autre c'est "LE" KING...

  • SIMPLY THE BEST

  • I agree this was the show to filmed professionally. There are rumors that some TV footage was shot for news??? Missed opportunity. Elvis was much more "active" during this show than the ALOHA show. Thanks for the few fans that took our 8mm cameras to those concerts in the 70's. We did what we could with what we had.

  • @theperkinsbrothers i totally agree,thank god for those fans.

  • One of the biggest mistakes in musical history is that the Madison Square Garden Elvis performance was never professionally put on film and televised.

  • @asmedious agreed!!!

  • @asmedious You can tell the same about Elvis's Shows from vegas 1969

  • @asmedious For sure! This looks like a legendary concert!

  • @asmedious TRUER WORDS WERE NEVER SAID!!!! I TOO SAW THE SHOWS AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN...OUT OF THIS WORLD BREATH TAKING!!!! SOMEONE SOMEWHERE HAS VIDEO OF THOSE MSG SHOWS SINCE VIDEO CLIPS ARE ON YOU TUBE...IT WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS IF THOSE VIDEOS COULD BE FOUND, COMPILED & A FILM/DVD OF THE SHOWS MADE TODAY....WHAT A HIT THAT WOULD BE!!!!!! I'D BE FIRST IN LINE!!!!!

  • @asmedious

especially since they were filming Elvis on Tour at the time - it's asked during the press conference

  • @asmedious Yeah Col Tom Parker was an asshole. He decided instead to have a Cancer Fund Charity Concert Televised in Hawaii rather than the Madison Square Garden Show No.3 which was recorded on RCA. Also the Madison Square Garden show No.3 was not only opted out for the Satellite TV Special for Honolulu Hawaii but it was released by RCA as a single LP set rather than the 2 Double LP set it was also originally planned for. con't

  • @asmedious Parker and RCA missed out on a once in history oppurtunity to have the show not only released in all store on RCA as a Double LP set but worst of all the show being broadcasted on TV around the World Via Satellite before over a Billion people which was a high percentage of the World's Population at that time in 1972.

  • É PRA ESSE AI QUE A IVETE SANGALO DEVERIA PRESTAR HOMENAGEM, ELA DEVERIA SE SENTIR HONRADA EM PISAR NO PALCO QUE O REI DA MÚSICA PISOU.

  • Despite the fact that his wife had just left him for another guy, Elvis had the force to put this outstanding show. He was the KING.

  • The mighty King. Absolutely fabulous!! ***** - Eddie

    good show good show

  • Why didnt any proffesionals filmed this Concert??

  • @silenz1970

because the criminal, parker, did not allow it.

  • @irishbollix Yeah thats true

  • Elvis , was the man he had a heart of GOLD<

he associated WITH A BUNCH of thugs that did not value his friendship,

Goo frinds say hey man your dinking too much , NO dont cheat,

No go home and go to bed ELVIS, ITS called accoutablity,

AND he was riased better, ONCE GOD has called you for what ever pupose,

THATS it, THOSE So called friends, of his, were his down fall,

THere you have it, FACT, everyone was riding the ELVIS express,

WHo was looking out for SWEET Hearted ELVIS???

  • Elvis não morreu.

  • He is Captain Marvel Jr!

  • I agree Madison Square Garden was my favorite released Concert of Elvis Presley because of the Song selections on it. It was also the first one of his I bought on 8 Track Tape in the Summer of 1972. Aloha From Hawaii was my close 2nd favorite.

His live in Memphis Concert was my 3rd favorite.

  • Just finished reading Careless Love by Peter Guralnick ... Elvis was a fantastic performer, but a very mixed up guy ! There's no doubt about it ... the management of his career was designed to 'contain' him ... it was all driven by financial gain rather than by creative drive, and his hangers on were no more than instruments in that containment. If only Tom Parker had had as much vision as he had business acumen, Elvis might well have still been with us today !

  • awsom!!10+stars!!! keep it going!

  • The king is not dead !! he lives in our hearts <33

  • He looked so good then

  • This is my fav album of all time these first few songs: # That's All Right"

    # "Proud Mary"

    # "Never Been To Spain"

    # "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me"

    # "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'"

    # "Polk Salad Annie" are incredible. Then he does impossible dream.... I just love him and the band. I cant believe after all these years i'm now watching him sing it live I knew he wouldn't let me down. How many artists can move and sing as good as him?

  • love ya elvis

  • Elvis' rendition of this tune would make John Fogerty very proud I'm sure. He is the King - and my favorite singer. i do hope that they release this concert in full

  • This stage suit is amazing.

  • This footage is awsome!-good how you LIP SYNCD it!!(i would to see the whole concert).is this availbable somewher??(i know its a bootleg dvd)..i got the album(who hasnt)..Elviis knocked em Dead(graceland/epe/should release this if they have in the vaults)..THANK YOU for sharing...Always Elvis.

  • elvis broke attendance records at madison square garden 1972. the whole show was a success. then why didnt colonel parker sign elvis to play the garden again. thats one the many questions that remains unanswered. i think parker was scared of elvis getting too popular and therefore more unmanageable. cstanchik

  • Elvis the king of rock'n roll will live forever!!!!!

    I love you Elvis!!!

  • is he still dead

  • callyorange, you need fucked with an elvis dildo

  • comments like that are disrespectful, don't place them on youtube.

  • Hello all elvis friends, does anyone know if there could be a whole show of this fantastic MSQ concert?? i think that there must be enough bootlegs around to make that?? anyway thanks .

After a bottle and a half of wine it doesn't.LOL

  • Looks similar, but this was'nt in ELVIS on Tour.

  • Surely this is just the same footage as available in 'Elvis on Tour' ???

  • scottydog1407...NO, Elvis on tour was filmed from April 4-19, 1972. This was filmed June 10, 1972.2 months later. Extra, For Beatles fans...It was Backstage before THIS concert that George Harrison met elvis...Elvis hoped george would enjpoy the show. George replied "I Know i will"...

  • @Metal80s19871991

    Ok.

I thought the filmed version of Proud Mary was the one from MSG.

    But cheers.

  • really???

  • the look on elvis face said it all.he couldnt believe how popular he was,. he couldnt accept that after then 18 years in the business people still came to see him. he was very humble. cstanchik

  • 5'4-58'

    68'-73'

    The best elvis's years

  • @yomorroco But his voice was best around the 61 thru 63 years. It was smooth like butter then.

  • @yomorroco totally agree

  • @yomorroco 54'-62', 68'-70'.

  • @yomorroco

    '54-'77 were his years.

  • @matizzle32 Haha,totally agree;)

  • @yomorroco

    dead right !

  • From CCR to Solomon Burke to Ike & Tina Turner Revue to Elvis Presley this Song is the Epitome Classic of the Early 1970's Rock Soul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • From Proud Mary to Lawdy Miss Clawdy, everyday is like Christmas,4th Of July,Easter, and New Year's Eve wrapped up together with Elvis Presley in them.

  • »ELVIS FOREVER!!!!

  • How I wish we had the camera technology then that we have now. Some beautiful images of Elvis lost to the ages. Nevertheless, I do appreciate this video!

  • elvis: Transcendent of profane to the sacred.

  • Totally agree with you. Discovering Elvis has awakened joy in my own sexuality and my own body...I love him and I am grateful to the work he did in his life which seemed to involve fetishing his very being towards the end....long live the King!!!!

  • wow... awesome!!!

  • yes it was. i didn't have a ticket and someone gave me one at the last minute. 7th row. it was amaaaazing.

  • mj was good but ep was ace

  • Me to i wish the would stop comparing him to ELVIS and yes mj was a freak

  • the man that inspired me to sing...check out gypwin

  • i like elvis a lot but i didnt like this as much as Creedence Clearwater Revival's original version

  • agreed although ike and tina's is the original version

  • Actually Creedence Clearwater Revival is the original. It was written, first performed and first recorded by John Fogerty.

  • I'm sorry, but Creedence Clearwater Revival's version is the original version.

  • correct, John Fogerty is the writer for lyrics and music for this tune. He wrote it after receiving his release from the US Army. Ike and Tina did it in 1975, but CCR did it in 1969 and elvis did it in 1972

  • You're right John Fogerty wrote the song and it was first recorded in 1969 on the CCR album Bayou Country. It was their first top ten hit on the U.S Pop Chart. Many artist have covered it I love the way Elvis does it. Then again I love the way Elvis does every song. Hell he could make the ABC's sound like a choir of angels were singing it.

  • One of the best comments. You summed it up superbly.

  • @operababe2010

actually, you are correct, My whole life I thought the ccr version was a cover.

  • @Codybear77 actually i think tina turner did it first i may be wrong though

  • @Codybear77 It would have been cool, to see an Elvis/Tina duet of this song !!

  • soooo sexy! ELVIS IS THE BEST PERIOD!

  • well elvis has a voice that will never be again. Elvis changed the music business bigger than anyone else. Michael jackson just kinda kept it going

  • He looks headless when he had his back turned.

  • Comment removed

  • Elvis was an innovator in every thing, Elvis the singer Elvis the movie star Elvis the live on stage performer Elvis the fashion Icon the guy had all , he never had to alter his face in any way as he looked like a Greek God he was total perfection from every angle he had the full package . Thats what makes him the King and you cant change that no matter how you try .

  • elvis was a good singer, but his indian counterpart in india called mohammed rafi was a better singer than elvis, no disrespect to the king, but youtube mohammed rafi and listen for yourselfs, but like i say, no disrespect to elvis.

  • you need to get your ears seen to!!

  • is this concert on any DVD anywhere if its not I want to know why?

Just listen to the power of his voice in this song

I have never seen this before like i have been a fan since I was 5 years old now I'm 24 like i have heard him sing this song but not this version and this is the first time i have seen him perform it so its pretty cool. ELVIS RULES music that's all i have to say BEST EVER.

  • new york 1972, the king at his best. BRILL..

  • elvis was responsible for all the groups and singers like tom jones wanting to be in showbusiness. he is the mecca! he is the most important. yes i love jacko and madonna but elvis reigns above all. long live the king. this is absolutely one of the best versions i have ever heard

  • There would be No Beatles if there had been no Elvis. Another reason Elvis is more important.
