Thank you Karen for your Support Group videos!! I really needed to hear #10- I have a tendency to compare my loss to someone else and I'm always bummed out because they've lost more than I have and I had my surgery first. Again, I'm still learning, but I'm getting there!! Hugs
You look so great and seem very happy...congrats on all counts! I dare say you are a huge support to all of your YouTube followers. Always look forward to your blogs and enjoy hearing how you are doing. So a big Thank You!
Looking good. I am seeing an hourglass figure there. Good for you!
I miss your cooking videos. I really liked them. I know you must be busy working at your job, but I would love to see you in the kitchen again when you have time.
Great info, thanks! I´ve added this to my favorites so that once I have my surgery, I can watch it again and again to keep myself motivated. You look fantastic already...great job! Jill
Glad you like my vidoes Jill. I'm sure there are some others you'll like. Check out the fashion show. I try to post a summary of my support group every week or two as well.
Congrats ! I still miss the water at mealtimes, and also sip a little. I wsa absolutley at 16 weeks before i wasn't throwing up every single darn day and had nausea. I agree that weight loss is different for everyone and at every age. I lost 2.5 pounds per week for the 1st 10 months and at 56 weeks I am at 146 or so. What lessons I still learn ! I had a Dr. pepper today which is odd. I never had more than maybe 1 x per month prior to sugery and it will proabbly be a long time b4 I have another
You are doing great. I hope to hit the 100 mark by my 1 year surgiversary. I'm wavery between 97 and 99 pounds lost right now. I used to drink at least 2 diet pops a day but now have no desire. Funny how the taste thing changes.
Hi, yes I had the sleeve. I see my surgeon for 3 month f/up on Thursday. I asked him about this at 6 weeks and he told me it's not uncommon for the first 3 months or so. It's just that while time passes it begins to feel like it'll be this way forever. So much food I used to like now has such an unpleasant aftertaste which is OK but at the same time I have to be able to eat something! Thanks for the encouragement. I'm sure he'll help me figure out next steps.
I assume you had the sleeve surgery. I think it was around the 3rd month when I was able to tolerate more foods. I never had a problem with food tasting bad or getting stuck. If I ate too much, too fast or didn't chew enough it was uncomfortable. If you are concerned, I'd recommend you contact your doctor's office. Maybe your bujie size is smaller than mine. You just want to make sure you don't have a stricture.
Two months out I can barely eat anything let alone go through a drive through, LOL. I keep waiting for my ability to tolerate food to change but it's been very hard. How long did it take you to be able to eat without everything tasting bad or getting stuck or making you uncomfortable? My surgeon at his support group last night says when he says exercise everyday, he means walk at least 30 minutes a day and anything else is extra. Congratulations on 99# lost; that is tremendous!!!
Great advice. I am almost 6 months out and need to re-dedicate myself to the changes that I have committed to.
You are looking good! Hope you see 100 down very soon!!
