How many coats of white did you do to cover the black and did you let it completely dry before you took off the masking tape.

Also hoe long did you wait before doing the clear coat.

I'm doing the same thing, kind of. I'm just sanding my guitar down, to get the natural wood finish, not repainting it. But I wanted to know if the pickups were hard to put back in? I know you have to solder and stuff, and I've never done that before. I'm going to throw some Dimarzios in mine, so I was wondering if it's pretty easy, cause i dont want to pay someone else to do it.

first of all, AMAZING JOB DUDE. second of all, im getting ready to paint a standard whit tele pickguard black. do i need to sand it or anytihng before i paint it or will it hold over the original colour?

i duno, it should be fine, just give a few coats, im not really an expert...

for the best results you should take it down to the bare wood, prime properly, wetsand the primer, apply paint, apply clearcoat, wetsand clearcoat to take out "orange peel" feel and look, then let cure for a week+ before using. That's the optimal way to get the best results. If you just ruff up the old paint and apply a new color itll only result in headaches and poor results(well maybe not poor...but not as good as it could be)

um prolly sand it abit down if you want the paint to really stick good. just sand it to get the gloss and shit off what comes on it

I have some home made guitar from my friend, I will buy ESP-LTD M-50 in Februar, but I am from little city, so I don`t know anybody who can play electric guitar. I am a girl so everybody just laugh me all the time that I want to play electric guitar...

Looks good. Clear coating means spraying the finished paintjob with clear laquer. It makes it shine.

yup you can use spray paint, I painted my M-50 black and gold Van Halen Style and gave my flying V pinstripes like the RR3 Pro , all using tape and spray paint, both turned out great. Let the guitars dry well over night then use a razor to trace the tape before pulling it off. and be careful not to slice too deep.
