according to imdb (which i admit is not completely accurate for talk show appearances), Maron also appeared on Letterman April 9, 1999, during the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia (hence the war by remote control joke), and this was also less than a year after Limp Bizkit regrettably hit it big. I obviously can't prove that's what this is from, but it seems a lot more likely than 96 (no wars, no Limp Bizkit CD to buy)

@conbonz666 Same answer as before. I admit I don't know for sure if this is from 1996, but I took this video from his official website, where he (or whoever made the site) says it's from 1996. Besides, IMDB says he was on the Late Show on that date. Anyway, if you or anyone else can prove this is not the real date, I'll be happy to change it.
