When you paste it on the background, right click on the same color as the other background (in this case green) and make it transparent by changing the select tool. It's kinda hard to explain, I'm not making much sense.
Could Someone Please Tell Me How You Seperate The Background & The Foreground, So That The Backgrounds Still There, But Your Not Drawing On It? Please :)
Oh, Well, that's easy. See, there is a tool called the fuzzy select on GIMP. So, to select just the background, select the tool that looks like a fire cracker. That's the fuzzy select. Then just click on the area and it should select it. And color away!
