When u dwnld a costum map it will go to where you save it then use a file extracter to get the save. Put the save into save folder of .minecraft. THE FILE DOES NOT GO STRAIGHT TO THE .MINECRAFT FOLDER!

go to Run,%appdata%, go to .minecraft open saves then oped up ur downloaded map and drag it in tht simple no offence dude u confizzled me. =3

@LowerCase231 If you mean on a server then you need to change the file called "world" to whatever map you want and then change the new map's name to "world"

(note this only works if the file name is set to "world" in server.properties. If it is set to something else, just rename it that!)

@pengwoomom3 It doesn't matter if you have winrar or 7-zip, but I recommend copy and pasting because if you mess it up you don't have to redownload the map
