Maya Moore is the shit. I think this one is better than Dr. J's. Dr. J's arms were much longer and his hands are bigger making it a lot easier to pull this type of move.
@TristanandIsolt count the steps. you get 1 1/2, not 3. i believe a woman can do a reverse layup. i am not threatened. i can do a reverse layup its not that hard. Dr J almost hit his head on the backboard in the 80s when he "did that". this doesnt come close
@mcreality247 I was there. I counted the steps live and then I counted them on video. It looked legal when I saw it and it was proven when I watched it. There is better video than this where you see her feet and in real time instead of slo mo. Sure anyone can do a reverse layup. I am a 52 year old fat guy who can do a reverse layup but not like this one. It was a spectacular play . Was it as athletic as the Dr. J play. No DUH. Was it amazing? Absolutely. To me it sounds like you are threatened.
@mcreality247 OK I went back to the good full video on WNBA.com it was play of the day. We all know how traveling is called in the NBA. By the strictest definition I will admit it was traveling but not by the way NBA refs choose to enforce it. Nobody watching it considered it traveling. I have not even heard a Dream fan whine about it being traveling. So you wanting to call it traveling still sounds like you are feeling threatened to me.
@mcreality247 I appreciate your thanking me. I wanted to make sure since I was calling your declaration of travel bullshit that it was indeed bullshit. A player is given an extra step and a half on the layup. The first step doesn't count because you are given that step at all times. Maya's hand went under the ball and she took the first step that you always get. She took another step toward the basket then went up in the air. So she took the one and a half extra steps. No travel. Take a look.
Amazing Reverse LayUp For women... Amazing 360 behind the back under the leggs dunk from free throw line at men, so reverse lay up its just for warming at men
That was an impressive layup. But basketball is much more than having a great vertical, which Maya has. But I guarantee, the Dream's Armintie Price can do this same move. She must work on her ball handling, passing, and overall decision making to be considered one of the elite players in the WNBA. We'll see over the next few years if she can do that.
That young lady can play some ball. I have been an ardent fan of this wonderful young lady since she showed up at UConn and wowed the college basketball world. She is a class act, all the way.
I had one of these it was sick it was in a real game to.

If you think she traveled then you dont know basketball and definitely have no business on this video!
javanity08 4 months ago 3
she certainly didn't travel. c'mon folks, we now have slow-motion & playback...she only took 2 steps! if anything, her 3rd step was via air!
