Our laws here in canada with regards to illegal arms are way too soft. if the penalties were much more harsh.... thered be alot less people doin it....

And as for what the officers would do, is charge you with obstruction of justice for not showing or giving them the tape. It his highly unlawful and you were in your right to be where you wanted to be. They played the "Safety card" because they have no right to tell you to leave unless your interfering with their arrest!

@niagpbpro Actually he was on a live lane of traffic its not an arresting offence. Also the vehicles are equipped with dash cams and the officers have a Mic on there person. By the way the officers are not trying to be a bitch they are concerned for the public safety. They had a C-7 (M16) rifle out. That means that it is not a typical take down. they think that they are armed.

I agree with the OPP in everything they did, their tactics and all however the end part where they come and ask for your drivers licence is a violation of your Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The Toronto cop (who knows about hiding and destroying evidence well) is concerned that the if the OPP officers used any force more than they are legally allowed to use then the video would be evidence for the officers to be tried in court.
