well, closer to 300 than 400. mine has a lot of notes though and with a lot of elbows to keep the pipes confined in just the frame.

there can be a few octaves. like there can be a very high F before it starts to sound weird and probably go like 4 octaves before it gets too low.

I'm up to a high G# which is almost too high, but i wouldn't go any farther than that because you probably won't play them that often (for the occasional song I need a note that high)
