Nice flying. I have a raptor 50v2 also and I learned on it aswell. I've only crashed it once since 2001 and it was mechanical problems (servo went dead). If that wouldn't had happen i would have never crashed it since then.
Your crazy by learning on a chopper this BIG , but i did the same thing brother ... I just took my time little by little and now i fly like the WIND BLOWS ... lol,lol I have a raptor 90 with a huews 500 defender body on it ... Great flying G ... :)
lol, i think that the best way to learn to fly helis is beginning with the big ones, of course not with the huuuuge ones, the "big ones" cause those heli are so more stable and with a expert next to you you learn in a week!
How did you assemble the training device for your Raptor? Type of sticks and length of each? Tennis balls used? It looks excellent, and I would like to use it on my Raptor 50.
It depends on the person, Electric is quite, smoother, cleaner. Longer flight times with nitro, no need to buy expensive batteries, you could argue about the pros an cons for ages.
the thing u have to rember is that gas engines are more powerful (sometimes) than electric engines but are harder to maintain.. electrick its just plug, fly, wate 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours for your battery to charge, go fly again.. they break about even.
Not true, Charging lithium polymer packs takes at most an hour. So if you have 15 minute flight times and 4 batteries and a couple of chargers you can fly all day. Alternatively people are beginning to adopt A123 batteries (which are still lithium but a variation of the technology) These little buggers can be charged at 10c, that's right, around 10 MINUTES per charge. So you can fly nonstop with 2 batteries and 1 charger.
@ps3playa101 i started with nitro, but gas is expensive where you can buy a battery a use it for a long time.not that much noise which means your neighbors will like you and i get 13 minutes out of one battery almost the same as a tank of nitro, plus dealing with nitro engine needles is sure the biggest challenge i have gone thru
@ps3playa101 Gas-powered is better as it produces less smoke. The one in this film is electric, and they not only produce a lot of smoke but they frighten small children. Try to go for a chinese engine as these are the best quality.
Yeh get into it. I am a lot better now inverted hovers an all sorts of cool shit, but no were near a pro. Get a simulator they can save u tons of money
very good job, but get it roughly 4 feet off the ground otherwise your helicopter causes a turbulance on the heli causing it to move fast and u have to jocky it to recover, over all very nice flying/1 keep up the good work :)
all depends on what transmitter you got, i dont own one of these, im getting a t-rex soo soon so im doing alot of research on helis ( i own 4 other helis) but there all electric. type the name of your transmitter in and get info on it m8, good luck :)
why do people continually have to diss people on this website? the title clearly states he/she is learning! well done helifriz ur doing well, i'm at about the same stage with my Trex450SE V2 at the moment!

the new batteries sound pretty cool.. but some ppl just dont have the money(me in the winter) but very good point and ill look into the new batteries
tylerakawings 3 years ago
Meh... you just get more batteries... it would be a waste if you only had one... not gonna get much flight time that way...

Nice flying, I'm learning too (electric tho). Is your 'copter supposed to be smoking like that or is your mixture off?

Sweet...keep it up. I've built tons of electric and gas buggies. After watching this I think I'm going to give helicopters a try.

Hi man good job so far but tell me i have a blade cx2 is a heli like the raptor a lot harder to fly
boomerhgt 4 years ago
Hey nice job. I have the same heli. But I haven't finished building it.
I would be afraid to fly it anyway, because on the rc simulator all I do is crash.
