WoW = a cheap knock off of EQ.. it's just that it's kiddy appeal and easy to play kind of gameplay made it so popular that everyone thinks WoW was the first mmorpg or something.. there were a ton of things WoW stole from EQ alone.. and it's interface reminds me of Baluders Gate for PC. So enough with the "OMG THIS IS KNOCK OFF OF WOW!!" Most MMORPG with the fantasy setting look alike. Shaddap already.

Actually stevean2 you're completely right. EQ stole a lot from Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Rings, if I'm not mistaken, was the first to make a "hobbit' race. Although it was made before (Like in D&D it was named completely different), EQ copied the name exactly. But WoW was only made because of how much EQ was a cash cow for the gaming industry, WoW decided to take it's toll at it too.

man ur lucky. i only got geforce 5500 so i hav to play on low graphics settings. ya this game has alot of things from wow and thats why people dont like it but most of them hav never played it. its story line is great not like wow. wow doesnt hav a storyline....wow is a good game too tho i like them both.

i hope no one gets me wrong on this comment, but i love the Lord of the Rings. ive always enjoyed the story, characters and settings since i was very young and my parents read it to me... and even though TLotR came generations before, this game kinda appears to be a cheap knockoff of World of Warcraft... still has good graphics though

The combat lacks a little until you get to level 10, graphics are amazing. PvP has a little downside but once you get to level 10 you can play as a monster, and the people are really friendly, finally its easier to level in but this game is more revolved around grouping once you get past the lower levels...

I suggest you play the new update, it adds alot of new quests for the 40-50 region -where people where struggling to get groups. It gives much mroe solo content.

the gameplay in lotro lacks but the game is boring at fisrt then becomes simply amazing when you are around lv 15 the pve content is much funner but lacks in the pvp area and the graphics are top notch hope that helps you out oh yeah and the players are very friendly
