There is a movie pretty similar to this one, but isn't a planet wich is in collision course, it is a star... Does any one can help with the title? In the movie humankind fix the problem moving the earth by placing rockets in the south pole, but we miss the moon :(

The one question I have is at the end of the movie it shows the people leaving the ship. In the book it states that they find a road and a sign of some type. I want to know is was there another book that continued the story? It would be weird if they found out that the other planet has frozen people that thawed out and ate the humans that landed there.

I saw this movie when I was 12. Admission was $0.16 for a double feature, two cartoons and a newsreel. Great job capturing the whole plot in just a few minutes.
