I've read many comments and there are a lot of opinions about the next level and such but not everyone wants listen to Robben Ford perfection even that gets a bit boring and predictable at times.I've seen the best blues players play a bit jagged and it didn't hurt their careers one bit. This is alright in my book.Keep it up!
nice but to take your playing to the next level you should really learn the changes (ie the chords) and the scales associated with the chords so you don't get stuck in a pentatonic/blues scale rut. peace and keep up the playing
Very nice tone and groove. Do you remember where you got the backing track and the title? I checked out the sites on your homepage and could not find it. Thanks.
Nice piece. Was hoping to hear at least a little bridge/middle and bridge/neck combo though. I plan to replace the stock pups in my Mexican Strat, just not sure which will give me that buzzy/nasal/twangy clean Strat sound that most strive for. Harmony central reviws have me leaning toward the Fender Vintage 57/62's. Thanks for posting
I think seymour duncans and demarzio's are little to hot for the clean twang he is looking for.hot pick ups tend to change the characteristics of the familiar tone.
Now I now why you put a video response to the great alanstrainor..to show to the world that you are an average Youtube guitar player and you will always be!Keep on rockin
if you want to improve....listen to Buddy Guy.....suspence and timing are everything. its all about the notes you DON'T play...if you know what i mean....i think you do.
hey there, I've recently started playing the blues and I would like to know if you could give me some tips on how to get better. My stuff starts off well, but then just becomes an orgy of doublestops. Is there anything you can reccommend that will stop it becoming repetitive. And your videos are incredible. I could watch them all day.
hey, guitar world magizine just relesed a cool dvd with tab book by andy aledort check it out its real good and informative.should be in any music store.or wherever they sell magizines but not for too long i got mine in july and i still see them now.lots of killer riffs from this guy. i think you will dig this
We have Total Guitar, but every month it's all metal acts and they can't go 3 pages without meantioning Dimebag, Dragonforce or Trivium. I buy Guitarist now when I can lol.
i dont know if you are on ebay or not but even if your not a member you can go there and look up item number 110154862291. and that is the issue dvd im talking about you can order it right from guitar world i think its 9 bucks
£5.50 for something like that is pretty good. And thank god for no trivium and dragon force. I HATE modern metal now because of all the overhyping surrounding it.
yeah ive seen it all before the 80s synth crap then the hair metal then grunge then nu-metal and all these retarded sub genres of metal like death metal grind core, hard core this and big bad that. its gonna die off sometime, i just hope whats next is actually good. but i doubt it.besides there are so many awsome players out there for us to hear the musician community will always keep them alive
play one or two notes, eg.the root and the second or fourth and fifth in pentatonic scale for three to four beats each with quarter/half/full bends/thrill's you can make two notes sound like twenty it won't become repetitive. listen to BB King and you will understand what I'm talking about.hope this helps.
When I hear such great playing I regret it's an improvisation :) (ie. no tabs :( ). However maybe the author (or someone else) would be willing to make a tab :) I know you generally don't tab improvisation, but it's great, and a tab would help a lot. Of course same goes for other Kassad62's videos!
Well, that's too bad :(. However I just can't belive that playing the way you play, doesn't require the knowledge of music theory :O I'm kinda shocked... I always thought that improvisation is based on theory (like scales, chords, intervals and stuff like that), but if what you say is true, there's hope for me yet, because I don't like theory very much :).
I sure do love practising along with you.If I get a website for backing tracks and a lot of courage I will post you a video.Keep adding your stuff to youtube.Fantastique!!
The neck is normal, and i don't have big hands, that's clear. Especially if you're watching some videos with Hendrix or SRV, guys that have big hands. ;)

I think music (and blues) it's like talking. Everybody talk the same way, but nobody has the same voice, inflexion etc... and feel ! (and your feeling change every minute, hour...)
Love your sound....What are you using for the rest of band? I have been looking for a good program or device that will allow me to practice like that.
hahah nice choice, i just bought the 62 reissue a couple of days ago, its really sweet, i have some minor set up adjustments to do to make it more comfortable.
Beautiful guitar, great sound, and most importantly, great playing. My Greg Bennett is in the same style, too bad I don't have enough money for a Fender yet. :P
The preset for the Vox, i can't remember all. It's the bassman simulation (this is a preset i made myself a long time ago, and i didin't filled it...).
I just use a few reverb.
For the TS9, it's very simple. Drive on 1 or 2; the same for the tone.

Especially in blues. All the great bluesmen (and i'm so far from their talent...) didin't know anything in musical theory. ;)
