  • love the backing where did you get it?

  • I've read many comments and there are a lot of opinions about the next level and such but not everyone wants listen to Robben Ford perfection even that gets a bit boring and predictable at times.I've seen the best blues players play a bit jagged and it didn't hurt their careers one bit. This is alright in my book.Keep it up!

  • holy shit, iv been searching for a great blues guitar and youve just showed me its the 62 reissue

    thanks so much dude

  • i really enjoyed this.

  • nice influences

  • salut si tu vient as Sydney viens me voir...

    j prendrai un cour.... steff

  • Nice job. It's the kind of playing I hope to do. Simple, fun and not too flashy. Nice to listen to.

    I'm 61 and don't have a kid's hands any more - if I ever did!

    Thanks for posting the vid.

  • lot of hits and a lotta missus- enjoyable video

  • nice but to take your playing to the next level you should really learn the changes (ie the chords) and the scales associated with the chords so you don't get stuck in a pentatonic/blues scale rut. peace and keep up the playing

  • ebony fretboard?

  • rosewood.

  • Bravo

  • Very nice tone and groove. Do you remember where you got the backing track and the title? I checked out the sites on your homepage and could not find it. Thanks.

  • made in?

  • and pickup modified?

  • hey dude, could you please tell me where I can get tabs for that song, or at least something similar??

  • its all improvised!!!!

but just practice using the backing tracks and youll get the feel of it!

  • 62 strat are my dream guitar but i want a more high output pickups in the bridge to stand on my heavy playing

  • what kind of vox do you have? im thinking of buying one

  • great playin really good - sounds abit like early Fleetwood Mac did!

  • i loooooove this sound

  • really nice. Solid. Keep rockin!

  • dat funky

  • Nice piece. Was hoping to hear at least a little bridge/middle and bridge/neck combo though. I plan to replace the stock pups in my Mexican Strat, just not sure which will give me that buzzy/nasal/twangy clean Strat sound that most strive for. Harmony central reviws have me leaning toward the Fender Vintage 57/62's. Thanks for posting

  • hi try seymour duncans they are decent or some dizmarios Yngwie Malmsteen uses them thats what i would try

  • I think seymour duncans and demarzio's are little to hot for the clean twang he is looking for.hot pick ups tend to change the characteristics of the familiar tone.

  • loved the tune man

    great job

  • wow you definitely had a nice groove going on

  • how much does this reissue cost?

  • hey man i play a stratocaster too and I love your style playing. You are a great guitarrist.

  • Now I now why you put a video response to the great alanstrainor..to show to the world that you are an average Youtube guitar player and you will always be!Keep on rockin

  • I put a video respons to Alainstrainor ?

    where ?

Alainstrainor put a video respons to this video. ;)

  • hei, i think you should put more accent into it.. but u are playing great after all..!!=)

  • if you want to improve....listen to Buddy Guy.....suspence and timing are everything. its all about the notes you DON'T play...if you know what i mean....i think you do.

    thanks!

  • thanks for the advice. ;)

Yeah, i think i know what you mean and i completly agree with you. :D

  • jep.....you are not bad......not bad at all....

    good inspiration......nice work!

  • Not very adventurous, but you play with feeling, which is worth more. Nice one.

  • were do you get your backing tracks at?

  • Urls are in my homepage. ;)

  • where is the cable????????? nice playback

  • the jack is in place. Change your eyes...

  • which the year of this its 62? one I hug

    Fabio Is Pablo-Brazil

  • 2006 ;)

  • salut kassad,

peux tu me dire combien tu a payé ta strat' sil te plait :) ?

  • salut

1400€, mais en Allemagne. En France, faut rajouter 500€... ;)

Les classics players sont tres bien aussi !

  • hey there, I've recently started playing the blues and I would like to know if you could give me some tips on how to get better. My stuff starts off well, but then just becomes an orgy of doublestops. Is there anything you can reccommend that will stop it becoming repetitive. And your videos are incredible. I could watch them all day.

  • I have the same problem. I think i'm too repetitiv too.

The best cure is too listening more music (even different from blues) and integrated it in your playing. ;)

  • hey, guitar world magizine just relesed a cool dvd with tab book by andy aledort check it out its real good and informative.should be in any music store.or wherever they sell magizines but not for too long i got mine in july and i still see them now.lots of killer riffs from this guy. i think you will dig this

  • too bad we don't have Guitar World in the UK :P

We have Total Guitar, but every month it's all metal acts and they can't go 3 pages without meantioning Dimebag, Dragonforce or Trivium. I buy Guitarist now when I can lol.

  • i dont know if you are on ebay or not but even if your not a member you can go there and look up item number 110154862291. and that is the issue dvd im talking about you can order it right from guitar world i think its 9 bucks

  • oh yeah and you wont find any trivium or dragon force riffs in it either, lol

  • £5.50 for something like that is pretty good. And thank god for no trivium and dragon force. I HATE modern metal now because of all the overhyping surrounding it.

  • yeah ive seen it all before the 80s synth crap then the hair metal then grunge then nu-metal and all these retarded sub genres of metal like death metal grind core, hard core this and big bad that. its gonna die off sometime, i just hope whats next is actually good. but i doubt it.besides there are so many awsome players out there for us to hear the musician community will always keep them alive

  • play one or two notes, eg.the root and the second or fourth and fifth in pentatonic scale for three to four beats each with quarter/half/full bends/thrill's you can make two notes sound like twenty it won't become repetitive. listen to BB King and you will understand what I'm talking about.hope this helps.

  • When I hear such great playing I regret it's an improvisation :) (ie. no tabs :( ). However maybe the author (or someone else) would be willing to make a tab :) I know you generally don't tab improvisation, but it's great, and a tab would help a lot. Of course same goes for other Kassad62's videos!

  • thanks...

I'm too weak with musical theory to made some tabs (and too lazy too)

    sorry

  • Well, that's too bad :(. However I just can't belive that playing the way you play, doesn't require the knowledge of music theory :O I'm kinda shocked... I always thought that improvisation is based on theory (like scales, chords, intervals and stuff like that), but if what you say is true, there's hope for me yet, because I don't like theory very much :).

  • ;)

Improvisation came from the heart first.

Especially in blues. All the great bluesmen (and i'm so far from their talent...) didin't know anything in musical theory. ;)

  • hey can u tell us where dıd u fınd the tabs of thıs song dude??pls?

  • no tabs sorry. It's pure improvisation. ;)

  • exceptional tone...you nailed the Strat tone completely

  • Is that a jap reissue?

  • nope, an US reissue. ;)

  • lol, hahahahahaha

  • "a" US

  • No reason in correcting him.

  • a joke man

  • Killer sound !

    Bravo :)

  • merci.. ;)

  • I sure do love practising along with you.If I get a website for backing tracks and a lot of courage I will post you a video.Keep adding your stuff to youtube.Fantastique!!

  • thanks.

Hey ok ! Let me know if you do that ;)

  • how can u find those tracks? To play on it?

  • check my profile, i put the urls in it. ;)

  • aha sweet pjs, you recorded this a day after my birthday! what a wonderful present..

  • thanks ;)

  • You play well, this is realy good blues. But how comes you have so many strats?

  • So many strats ?

    I have just 2 stratocasters.... ;)

  • how can u find those tracks? To play on it?

  • really orgasmic sound..top notch

  • Great sound, beautiful strat !

  • im gettin a fender 60th edition strat in the color i think

  • Tone and volume on the max, neck pickup. ;)

  • Nice work Kassad, keep the videos coming!!

  • is that neck wide or are your hands tiny??

  • The neck is normal, and i don't have big hands, that's clear. Especially if you're watching some videos with Hendrix or SRV, guys that have big hands. ;)

  • Pure magic!!!!

  • Nice work, thank you for sharing.

  • ok, you got a point, kinda

  • U play nicely, but it seems like we all play the blues the same. I watch all these guys playen, nobody is unique. Yeah, i know its difficult to be unique when it comes to blues. But, I think we need to break out of the typical box. I have no room to talk....

  • Everybody is unique pal... And even if it's look like we all play the blues the same way, everybody put his feel in it, so it's different every time (with nuances).

I think music (and blues) it's like talking. Everybody talk the same way, but nobody has the same voice, inflexion etc... and feel ! (and your feeling change every minute, hour...)

  • blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

  • i love your tone good lead1

check ot my videos when you have a chance

    peace

  • Bravo bravo !

  • Love your sound....What are you using for the rest of band? I have been looking for a good program or device that will allow me to practice like that.

    Thank you in advance

  • URL for backtrack are in my profile... ;)

  • hahah nice choice, i just bought the 62 reissue a couple of days ago, its really sweet, i have some minor set up adjustments to do to make it more comfortable.

  • Yep, it'a a great guitar.

  • Nice stuff.

  • is this a american ,mexican ,japanese...reissue ??thanks man sounds good bro ....

  • This an american vintage stratocaster 62 ;)

  • out of all your strats, which one do you preffer the most?

  • Hi.

Tough question. I had the 50th since 2 years, and the 62 is new. I like them both very much but, for now, i say my favorite is the 62... ;)

  • Beautiful guitar, great sound, and most importantly, great playing. My Greg Bennett is in the same style, too bad I don't have enough money for a Fender yet. :P

  • Hey thanks pal. I'm sure one day you'll buy the guitar you want. You know how long i wait for that ? 15 years !

Always a question of patience... ;)

  • nice strat

  • Damn right^^

The older Strats have a so Nice sound

  • What are the settings on the TS9 and what vox preset? =D

  • The preset for the Vox, i can't remember all. It's the bassman simulation (this is a preset i made myself a long time ago, and i didin't filled it...).

I just use a few reverb.

For the TS9, it's very simple. Drive on 1 or 2; the same for the tone.

And Volume at the midle. ;)

  • Thats awesome.I say my guitar teacher that he has to teach me blues!

    Sry for my englich :-*

  • That was really good. I think the backing track that you're using is for a song called "Born In Chicago," isn't it?

  • Thanks Klasek.

For the backtrack, i'm not sure, nut you're probably right. I got from a website, and there was no special name on it... ;)

  • Kassad62,

I really like your sound. Very nice. Please post up more!

Are you using backtrack songs from the internet or are you using a program that has a library?

I am looking for something like what you are using and would appreciate your advice.

  • thanks !

I put in my profile the url to the websites or the backtracks. :-)

  • Gorgeous sound there... shows off the Fenders tones so well! Congrats!
