Jason is or was a bass player, if jason ever was to re-join Metallica he would replace Robert Trujilo, Metallica's current bass player. KIRK Hammett is the lead guitarist man, he doesnt play bass. Jason Newsted will never join Metallica though :(

I was born in 1990 and I was a year old when the Black Album came out I grew up around Hard Rock and Heavy Metal I started listening to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal at the age of three!! Rap fucking sucks This Generation of music sucks so badly the first band/album i listend to at the age of three was Metallica I saw Metallica on Jan 31st in Newark NJ and I miss the old Metallica

My goodness. I was at I think their next show after this i.e. Monsters of Rock at Donington Park on 17th August 1991. And Jason did the exact same helicopter maneuver. I was 21 years old then :-)
