  • And where was this when I struggled with the music sheets

  • I've been practicing for about 2 weeks now, and I'm up to about 3:00. Everyday I teach myself as much as my brain can handle, which depending on the difficulty of the cords being played can be anywhere from :05 to :20 seconds. Some things I pick up easily, others take me tons of repitition to get it down.

Be back in another couple of weeks with another progress report. I hope to be at 6:00 by then, or further.

  • i love the sound and i bet i can play it but damnit my keyboard sounds like crap and it doesent go low enough so it sounds like crap

  • @Kmariz0134 I'm trying to play it on a 5 octave keyboard too where the lower notes are missing. Try learning it 1 octave higher if you wanna get the right feel or just leave out he lower notes (yeah that doesnt sound good i admit). For the sound i strongly recommend using Yamaha. I've got a 200€ starter keyboard and the sound is awesome for that price both on internal speakers and even better on an external stereo or headphones ;)

  • thank you, thank you very much...2 mins conquered...now for the next 8...phew

  • how does it fucking matter whether it is easy or advanced...it is just a beautiful piece of music.

  • <3 this I'm gonna try to learn this song very soon, in fact as soon as possible and i'm an 11 year old girl and only been dooing piano for two years but i think i could do this any ways my piano teacher thinks i'm pretty good

  • @MissFlowerPetals OMFG OMFG OMFG. Shh...

  • i got chills

  • Not gonna be bored in summer

  • easy not advanced

  • I got an A in Piano playing this song!

  • You aren't playing the piano. you feel the piano, you are the piano and the piano is playing you. That is how to make music witch a piano.

  • @pittigepiet well said! :D

  • If I can hear he's playing it in front of me....He reminds me to be greatful for us not be deaf like him and he wants to express the voice by piano.....I don't know if everyone understands me but it's the best!

  • ....wow..... u can't describe music, u can only appreciate it to your heart's content :)

  • @sk123awesome what are you saying? the music is a language like english or spanish!!! you can describe anything by it!!!!

  • When You Listen To This Song, You Can't Help But Become Transfixed By The Beautiful Music That's Being Played Before Your Own Eyes........ Words Cannot Express How Much I Love And Respect This Song........:)

  • @HStarx1 Is It Necessary To Capitalize The First Letter Of Each Word?

  • @silvermist0987654321 Is it necessary for you to capitalize on his capitalization?

  • @guitarhero1346

I think that the best way to learn any instrument is to just go nuts on it. I mean do what comes naturally first then try to make the pieces fit. If you spend all your time getting caught up in trying to learn to read and play you never really have time to experiment. Let yourself go for a while. Make up some songs of your own. I bet you will be amazed at how fast you pick up after that. Maybe the instrument is for you but the type of music is not. Just play and record everything

  • I can play this :)

  • 40 persons were wrong playing this melody

  • @lEmilioXx They.started.at.D#xD

  • exelente es un opiano virtual mas bien es mucho exelente me ayudo\

  • Originally is C sharp or D ???

  • @hecliftube this is in C sharp minor, as it was composed.

  • Try playing this on the guitar! I cant even pass 5 bars :(

  • You need to feel the rhythm in the music. This is how music is not only made, but played. This is very useful for learningnew music. Listen to it till you know the song you wish to lay by heart then attempt. My first song was Fur Elsie (Advanced Verison) and I'm 14 BEFORE I started taking lessons. All I did was memorize. Believe me, you can do it.

  • es lo mas hermoso que hemos escuchado con mi hermana ......

  • Wonderful! I love it :D

  • After a whole month of training I have finally know how to play this wonderful masterpiece as a pro (:

  • WOW I wanted to learn this but as a guitar player who only recently picked up piano I use patterns and this jumps all over the place for almost 10 mins!!!!! DAMN!!!!! LOL

  • wow i just love it

  • I know how to play piano quite well just can't play it (sigh) wish i had the notes

  • I know how to play turkish march - Mozart.... the full song and I don't know how to read....

It's just sad... I have to memorise the notes... and it takes a lot of time...

  • good job :-) im lerning a lot with it :-3

  • I've learned 1:37 mins of this song xD Im learning slowly and i dont even know how to read music but this song I will learn!

  • @welexxus I only play the piano because I might want to go all time with it and I pretty much like the way the motes sound

  • thanks so much !

  • I forgot how to playit...bt i remember with this tutorial thx

  • :DD i can play the beginning on my Accordion :3

  • does the beginning of this remind anyone else of The Fountain??

  • this is the easiest tutorial to follow along to for such a classic piece. love it, am getting better and going further every day. thank you, an keep them coming!

  • i have mastered this piece completely...my mum is proud :)

  • how many hands i need to grow to play this? i got the beginning 12 notes down.....

  • At 1:13 how do you reach that A and B?? I have small pinkies. :( Anyone have any tips? Any tips for fingering too?

  • @goodoldmoon7 hit the A with the left hand.. do 1 bass note instead of octave

  • wow

  • Wow what a great tutorial. Thank you for the time and energy you put into this.

  • i play it the other way

  • Thank you do much!!💜💜💜🙏

  • I love this song. Glad I could put a name to it! :-) I heard it in Stephen King's movie, `Misery' and loved it!

  • @eanmrtn

i heard it in Detektiv conan and i love it too =)

  • I am learning this song. It is beautiful.

  • Great now all I need is a piano... and some talent!

  • @M1auuu

    me too xD

  • I'm at 8:00 and had to stop for the day, I try to learn a minute or two a day and because I was so close to the end I wanted to finish it. Unfortunately my brain couldn't handle anymore seeing as I couldn't even remember the notes I was trying to learn. Should be done in a couple days! :)

  • i like this song

  • i thought this song would be better

  • thanks a lot uploader.

thanks to you now i can play it all-)

  • I dont even know how to play the piano. But im definitely learning this song. im writing it down as letters which ive written on my keyboard so i know what to play. I know how to play the first minute so far ;)

  • @Fraxatic That's fantastic!! I love looking at blank sheets of paper with letter written all over them and things jotted down that once made sense to me! Haha, good luck with this song! I was thinking it was going to be hard to remember, but I'm at five minutes on here and doing well :)

  • Please upload the 2nd movement too :)

  • It really is easy to play it with your tutorial stroke by stroke.

even if you aren't good at playing piano. :)

I was a beginner and now I can play it (I have the sheet music, too), because your tutorial is in a good speed to learn it.

    Good Job !

  • @Therightsense I was just thinking that. I can play along with it on the parts I'm learning and get a better handle on it.

  • I try, and I try, and I try. But I'm still horrible at the piano and guitar. Been trying for years, but I still can't get it. I can play trombone, euphonium and baritone just fine, but whenever I try to play the piano or guitar I sound like I don't know what music is.

  • @guitarhero1346 Try easier songs then? Lol go easy then take it up from there.

  • @guitarhero1346 Don't be discouraged. I've been playing guitar off and on for years and still have allot to learn. I started getting good when I got laid off of work for a winter and played from the moment I woke up to the time I went to bed. And play piano in between when my fingers and wrists hurt too much to play guitar. Here I am six years later, work so much I pick up a guitar about twice a month and get disappointed. I forgot allot and lost my speed and accuracy. Practice makes perfect :)

  • @guitarhero1346

Some people just cant. Im only 11 and i can play the piano sax, violin, basson, flute, and clarinet. I tried to learn how to play the trombone, trumpet, and tuba but it didnt really work out. But if you wish to keep trying i wish you the best of luck!(:

  • @guitarhero1346 Keep Trying. I'm not saying I'm better than you, but every once in a while, you find yourself at a standstill, as far as progressing goes. You've learned a lot quickly and then it stops suddenly. Just rest for a while. Listen to new music that inspire you to cover them. Drop your incomplete projects and start from scratch...keep on doing it, and you will succeed. You will look back at this one day and laugh I promise you. :)

  • @guitarhero1346 You need a good teacher... Your talent can be advanced.... I never heard you playing but I feel like you are talented :D So never stop trying!!! ;DD

  • @guitarhero1346 Practice practice practice. everyday, repetition. you get out what you put in

  • @guitarhero1346 because piano is more sophisticated than trombone :)

  • @guitarhero1346 it very difficult to play instrument that are different once you practice so much alot becomes muscle memory

  • @guitarhero1346 Hum, that's a shame for someone who got a username like guitarhero ^^

I understand you, got the same problem... I do love guitar so much, it's make two years now that I try to play everydays an half hour but I still sucks balls...

    And I'm 27 years old, a shame !! lol

  • @guitarhero1346 you just need to keep practising, you will get it eventually! i felt that way when i first started too! btw i first started with guitar then i didnt like it coz it took me ages to get it right then i went to keyboard and found it more amusing! you need to find what best suits you!

  • @guitarhero1346 dude, I'm really good with math and kinda suck at all the other subjects. What I did? Went to a Math college and it was the best decision I've made.

  • buenaa me gusta este sonido para reflexionar..

  • ehhhhh! My keyboard taught me diffrently :( now i have to learn all over :c

  • My goal is learn a minute a day! Haha, so far so good. At 2:43 on day 2 :) My hands are starting to hurt though! Lots of octaves!

  • lol i start with g, c, d#

  • Thumbs up if you learned this song only beacuse it was used in Resident Evil 5

  • Yus!

    I got it!

    Kind of...

  • isnt there an easier version D:

  • Me encanta, ya me lo estoy aprendiendo! :)

  • how the hell are you supposed to play this with two hands?

  • @skrattend

double octaves with the left hand, i guess.

  • @skrattend beethoven did it while DEAF, deal with it and try your best

  • Are these the correct notes written by beethoven?

  • @Vanikmobile yeah i have the same notes like this

  • Had my piano for a week and I perfected the first 2 minutes!

  • iv gotten to the minute 7:43....but after tht im completely lost ,,believe me u will all get lost at this part even if u memorised it well , the next day u will forget everything lol

  • Excelente video

gracias por subir videos q si sirven y mucho

  • MY FINGERS ARE TOO DAMN SHORT FFFF---...

  • I've gotten the first like 53 seconds and I'm using a 61 key keyboard. I'm proud of my self. (: it gets hard though. :/

  • I only wish I was good enough to play the 3rd movement of Moonlight Sonata. *Sigh* One day, perhaps.

  • @kissingxdeadxboys i wish i was good enough for even the start of it...

  • I've mastered the first 50 sec now :D but then it gets hard...

  • I started learning this beautiful piece 2 days ago and already can do 0:09 - 1:00 :)

  • Best 9 Minute's Ever! (:

  • 9 Minutes Of Pure Genius. Bravo Beethoven.

  • I learned this piece just by watching some tutorials on youtube and played it on an expensive piano at my school. The girls at my class were so impressed that I got laid at the same evening. I will always remember this song...

  • @Blackybrother and in the morning you woke up and realized you pissed on your pj's

  • it isn`t very hard but it is wounderful

  • I have live my life playing and learning how to play the piano put I just cn't remeber all the keys to this song but it is very good piano song to play

  • Can someone give me a piano and piano pessons? xD

Really, I want to learn how to play piano, just to play this song.

  • I CAN PLAY THAT!!!!<3

  • I want to learn to play ''Moonlight Sonata'' so badly on the piano, but I need to learn how actually even play nicely

  • @CuteAsABubble just do it im learning it to and i make good progress

  • ay una cancion q suena asi piru ru piru ru piru ru tin +...

  • I can play this on my keyboard :)

  • OMG. I love it. ♥

  • My favorite song! Thanks.

  • is it really this slow ??? and darn it for my short fingers ... T_T I can't play this song very well cause of that ... GAH!!! and it's such a nice song too ...

  • thumbs up for detective conan!!

  • Well im nine years old and i was almost finished then i started again and i forgot and i got so angry i almost smashed the keyboard lol

  • what's the tempo and the time signature?

  • @medievalwoman7 Looking at some video's I would say

    tempo = Adagio

    Time signature = 3/4

  • @medievalwoman7 adagio is correct but the time signature is 4/4 or common time. Counting the pattern in the base ( every repeat is 1 beat, so 1-2-3-4, and then you start over) will help solidify that. Beautiful piece

  • WAOUUUH. I just found the best class to lurn piano !

Thank you so much, really, god bless you (?!)

And i'm lucky with my very long fingers :)

  • I have very long fingers and i can play it :)

  • This is great, the only thing lacking is the finger numbering.

  • I can play this song on my 61 key keyboard just transpose the keys

  • porque mi teclado es tan chiquito :(

  • Damn. My hands are too small/my fingers are too short to play it...

  • I want this to be clear to everyone I know absolutely nothing about playing the piano and Moonlight Sonata is my favorite song thus I am going to learn this song key by key until it is perfect.

  • @TheTstage Hell yeah! Do it up, don't give up even though your going to suck for a very long time. At least I've sucked for a very long time anyway/ Good luck

  • @TheTstage haha me too! :)

  • @TheTstage exact same thing!!

  • I personaly cant even read sheet music, i play by ear for the most part

  • Great vid, just what i needed!

  • @manbat12345 resident evil on playstation back in the day?

  • Please ! Do a tutorial of "Les mystérieuse Barricades" ! Pleaaaaase !

  • i will learn this and post on my channel

  • For the people that don't have as many keys on their keyboards....try to learn how to play it in a different key. It's called transposing. I'm only trying to help.

  • @Shadowwarrior58 Ehh, I'd just bump it up an octave. If you can transpose something in C# minor with as many accidentals as this, then you owe it to yourself to buy a bigger keyboard.

  • 3rd movement pleaseeee

  • I made it. it's tough ,but it's not Impossible.. thank you very much

  • @manbat12345 Loads of films have used this piece including "Deadline" I think

  • this reminds me of an amozon woman

    tough

but more beautiful than anything else

  • The keyboard comments on here made my day lol

Even with a physical representation of the keys being played, it gets confusing. My hats off to whomever is able to play this masterpiece

  • I need to buy a longer keyboard or a piano, ´cause 61 keys are not enought to play this masterpiece :(

  • @Emilienn84 Alas thats where Beethoven fucked us all xD hes still legit though. He is so legit he has his own level in the legitimint bar.

  • @Emilienn84 just play it the next keys higher, thats what i did, still sounds great : D

  • @Emilienn84 you can play it on 61 keys if you move the octive most keyboards can be programed to do so

  • @Emilienn84 I have 29 can I borow yours?

  • Emilienn84 what shoud i do i`ve only 49 keys

  • love it i can only play the first nine parts though

  • i need a longer keyboard !!

  • Very beautyfull... this is music ♥ love this

  • I came here becuz of Resident Evil 1

  • op.66 by chopin!

  • WOOO I CAN PLAY THE FIRST 40 SECONDS Of THIS SONG THANKS TO THIS :) WHO NEEDS MUSIC NOTES WHEN U HAVE YOUTUBE!!! <3

  • @nvtash Lol true true. But maybe if you love piano so much you should get lessons so you can play the WHOLE song.

  • subbed!!! <3

  • is there any chance for the 3rd movement; that would be awesome!

  • it reminds me of detective Conan moonlight episode

  • v.v I don't know all my notes...

  • Nearly there!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its a dream ¡¡¡¡

  • Beautiful! ^_^

  • this makes me feel bad

  • ME GUSTA esto !!!...i like it soooo much!!!!

  • It's hard to not enjoy this melody <3

The first time I heard it was on my Hamtaro videogame, but it's still very beautiful years later :)

  • how is this advanced?...

  • i know was so funny

  • Theory is next to nothing when compared with knowledge of how sounds react with each other, and skill in knowing where each of these sounds are in relation to each other. I've gone my whole life playing piano and guitar with next to no theory knowledge.

  • thumbs up if you watched the whole bruno mars advertisement singing about sour cream and onions. lmfao lmfao lmfao

  • Simon Schama's The Power of Art

  • Thanks i learned it!
