What is this guy, a professional idiot? Why the fuck does he jump in the water? And then he swims around and puts himself between the boat and the dock?
Not true about "Americans" ! As any "Mariner" knows, "ANY" VESSEL that "Hails" for, or "NEEDS" assistance, IN AN "EMERGENCY" will get it from another "Mariner" and "VESSEL" REGARDLESS OF THE FLAG SHE FLY'S !
Huh? Sometimes it can turn into a nightmare? Well if you don't tie up like you're supposed to, I imagine it would. This has nothing to do with where you are...it has to do with you not being tied up. Everything else is stationary, and there doesn't even seem to be a current.
@NorthernFirehawk bro, I'm American too, but the farthest I've seen anyone go to help someone else at a boat ramp or somewhere else is to push the boat away from theirs. and if it was in america, it would be a drunk driving boat crash.
@TheGoodstuff69 For starters, I'm Canadian. And second of all, you just described Canada EXACTLY. I beleive Americans would help the same as Canadians. I know this cause I lock through the trent all the time and it's full of US and Canadian flags and everyone is friendly and helpful. But your right, if it was a choice between helping someone and saving their own boat, they would save their own boat.
See the neo-nazies, kicking the boat so that it wouldn't scratch their baby. Then they trespass the boat.

It looked to me like a few people were helping, 2 guys from other boats swam over to it and got onboard, looked like motor problems

I'd keep well away from the loose boat. If there was no ladder the outboard boat in front would have been a lot easier to have climbed on to.

@theGoodStuff you must be a stinkpotter. I know that in the blowboat community people help each other all the time, yes even in America.
