  • Its a little bit unfair saying the kindle keyboard is just wasted space, all three have wasted space at the bottom in some way, its not like the other two screens are used for reading as such from what i can see, theyre just touchscreen menus?

I have the kindle 3, but i hate the space restriction and it slows down when you put a lot on in, yes i know you dont have to have everything on there all at once, but i would like to.

Now im looking at other readers, to replace my kindle, unfortunately.

  • is the 3g for the nook free like on the kindle?

  • hi is the kobo ereader good they only sell the sony and kobo here in my town

  • ok. this was a good review. but i was really distracted by your long nails. wow.

  • Thanks for the review. My mom wants one of these. Maybe I will get her the Nook now instead of the Kindle. Just a note when doing reviews of products, please bring the product up higher so that the viewer can see better. Thanks again

  • The nook is stupid go kindle

  • all of them have a dictionary, right?

  • go nook!! book "loaning", color touchscreen menu, micro sd card slot, removable battery, and epub file compatibility pushes the nook over the top. even though the nook gui runs a little slower than the kindle, i think the nook is the way to go. plus the nook just looks nicer...the kindle looks like a toy with the keyboard(how often would someone really use this) and awkward joystick. the nook's androird hackable os is another benefit

  • wow ok i want the nook now

  • Great review! I have a question though. Which of the three e-readers would you recommend for people living outside the US? (in terms of the offers/sales etc. they have) The Nook looks interesting, but there's no B&N where I'm from sadly.

  • 5:28 good point. :) good honest review mate.

  • WOW! Great review. Thanks!

  • Nice review, but, maybe i missed it, why was it that you preferred the nook?

and there was not much talk on the K2, pros and cons on the current leader of the market?

  • Your Sony PRS-700 has built-in sidelight, but they removed that feature in the PRS-600 for a less blurry screen (which I'm owning since today :D)

That aside, these are nice comparisons and a very good review. Thanks for sharing!

  • Hi! i saw your reviews about e-readers and i would like to know about the formats that i can read the books. Can i read in PDF or Word? I think that the only one that provides me that is the sony. Sounds that sony is more "open" than the others.

i´m student in Brazil and i read a lot of technical papers about economics. They are not books, just papers with 20, 30 pags. And i think i would read them just in the sony, because is the only one that i have conection to computer , right?

    Thank you

  • Kindle only uses theirs and PDF, Nook accepts many but not word and Sony will accept many including Word )they use the Microsoft programming for basis). So, if you are in need of Word document reading, then you are best off on Sony. As for connecting to the computer, both the Sony and Nook have had the sync to your computer and you can read them on the computer, while the Kindle recently added this feature.

  • Awesome video. I really enjoyed your video comparing the eReaders. It proved right on time for me since I'm in the market for one. I'm going Nook.

  • @anijh12 i got one today and i like it ..i got 3g ..page turning may be slower than kindle ..but touchscreen and customising ablilty is awesome..i have heard of quality issues but may be worked out now...ill let you know...i think nook is probabally a good choice but im no expert lol

  • Good review, 5 star. I do believe that the Kindle 2 allows you to listen to MP3's. I don't think you mentioned that, also the hidden picture function on the Kindle 2. Holding shift alt and G will capture your screen in a .gif file on your kindle for you to retrieve on your PC. Also holding Alt Shift and M opens a hidden minesweeper game :)

    Keep the reviews coming

  • Thanks for catching some of my misses, like I said it was a quck basics, I was trying yo keep it under the limit for one video.

  • can the sony prs link those things or i can only do that in my computer??? because it can be really helpfull for me.

If you can answer me it will be very helpfull.

  • i think your review is very complete you know really know what you are talking about. Im looking for one of these, specially the sony prs 600, but i have a question. Im a student of law here in my country and you can find all the laws in pdf or stuff like that, and my question is, can I use it for my purpose, because it is un secure pfd files?? and other thing i have a encyclopedia OMEBA, which is very big, and it has an index were you can search things, and they link you to the place you are ..

  • The sony, yes, you can put pdf on them and use them. You just need to put them into the software on the computer and transfer them over to the e-reader. Thanks for watching.

  • Thanks. This rocks. I'm the first person to comment on this video, so I may as well say that this was a pretty good comparison of these different readers. By the way, how did you get a hold of all three? Buying them would be quite illogical.

  • As I am a librarian, there are some perks (there has to be considering the pay! LOL). Thanks for watching and the compliment.

  • booooo Nook! lol, just kidding but i am a fan of the kindle... proud owner of 2 of em.

Good review though. Keep em coming.

  • Thank you. Just out of curiosity, why 2?

  • Well i like the K2's look, i think the Nook is a little to 'flashy' if thats possible. Also i enjoy amazon for my shopping needs, so it makes sense to buy ebooks their, they seem to have some good sales like K2 has dear john for $4.50 while Nooks price is $9.99... also i like how K2 is a little faster. And i am not a fan of touch screens. :)

  • The updates fixed the slowness on the nook.

  • Thank goodness! Thanks for the comment
