  • Rochester, ny! Ellison Park, FTW! its seriously giant.

  • The Rochester Trail (Paint Creek) in Michigan!! It's epic :)

  • I'm from Swansea massachuetts..small town a half hour from Boston...about 5 years ago me and my friends came across there woods and we wanted to no ware it went to so we walked and we came across a beach that looks like no one new about and we called it white castle...and to this day I go there just to clear my head of everything and just relazwith the sound of the bay hitting rocks it's amazing u can only get there by walking

  • There's a million place to hike in my lovely state of Colorado. Some of my favorites are Garden of the Gods. Its touristy, but its so massive you could easily not see another human being while you're there. My favorite place to hike though is out in Green Mountain falls. Its a little town right outside Colorado Springs. If you want the total nature experience, they have a wolf sanctuary there where you can hike and pet the wolves!

  • Near Palm Springs is an oasis. It's a great hike and the seeing the water in the middle of the desert is pretty crazy.

  • I'm from germany..

I'm living in a little town in the absolutely nowhere..just 62.000 people live out here

so my favorite place is everywhere out of town.

    nature is everywhere!:DD

lots of forests, lakes, hills and stuff.

but the best place is a little park.

it's a lake where you can swim and hang around.:))

    just check it out!;))

  • I'm from a relatively small city in MA, and the closest place I have gone to climb was Assonet.

This place is called Profile Rock and was intended for tourist attractions, but I guess more of the local people go. If you were to ever go visit, I would say teleport backwards in time, so you wouldn't have to see all of the graffiti. It's just a fifty foot rock that looks like the profile of a man, and it has nice views:)

  • I live in Minneapolis, MN- and my favorite place to go hiking besides the North Shore (which is amazing and well worth a trip to MN) is the Minnehaha Dog Park. Yes, I said a dog park! It is located on the Mississippi River, and is very spacious and has huge trees that shade everything! It reminds me of Hawaii- a little spot tucked away in the heart of Minnesota!

  • I live on bainbridge island,WA my favorite place to go is manitou beach

  • My fave place to soak up some UV rays would definitely be La Jolla since it's only 15 mins away. But during the winter I'm a fan of Big Bear :p

  • Hmmm in Cheshire UK, we have the River Mersey! Spike Island is a lovely Nature area, check it on Google Earth :-)

  • cypress hills, southern saskatchewan, canada

  • Definitely icebox canyon out here at red rock national park right outside Vegas.

  • hey guys, best place to hang out is Trigg Beach in Perth Australia!

    best surf there!

also Bells Beach in Melbourne Australiaa also awesome surf!

  • Hmm. Here in OK anywhere is pretty neutral. We sure do love our wide open spaces.

  • I don't live there but we have a cabin up in the Catskill Mountains in New York. AMAZING.

  • I'm from Germany. I'm not really into hiking, but I love to sit on a bench, between some trees, and enjoy the awesome view. It's like mountains everywhere! And everythings green. I love it!

  • 36*

  • did you quote no doubt at 38 seconds?!?

  • anywhere in Newfoundland Canada is gorgeous!

  • Land's end in San Francisco

  • Wow that an awesome Hike.. Wish I could do that one.. I live in Cali.. Only place I have been hiking is Mount Rubidoux in Riverside..Its A cool one.. There is some neat stuff up there..

  • i love how you say chonies for underwear just like my dad.

  • I live in Colorado Springs. I love going all the way up to the Palmer Park lookout, which is gorgeous, but it's not really a spot to hike to. I love hiking through Helen Hunt Falls. :)

  • Twin Falls Idaho, Rock Creek Park. Broke my arm there when I was 16 mountain biking down a hill. Where I got in a fight at 17, I didnt start it. . It's cursed, but anyhow it is a good place to hike

  • I'm from Houston TX, I go to Galveston Beach often but the best places I love going to are Canyon Lake near San Antonio and Barton Springs/Zilker Park in Austin TX :D

  • How cute was the picture of you and Jess on the Bench. Hmm the nicest spot near me, I live close to the Danish border on the German side, would be a little river that no one knows about exept me and my freinds. It leads you to an open feild where youll most definatly meet some cows. A bunch of very lovely ladies that allways have an open ear if you need to talk. :)

  • Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan

  • where was this? my gf and i love going hiking and r always

looking so a new place to hike at

  • where was this? my gf and i love going hiking and r always

looking so a new place to hike at

  • Okay so I live in North Georgia. Every time I look out a window I get a mountain view. I never really cared to notice until one day I was at wal mart buying my groceries and I walk out to the parking lot and look to my right, it's gorgeous here.

  • I totally thought this was going to be a video where you take Jess on a hike and then propose...the title is a little misleading but still awesome video you guys are super cute

  • Well I live in Niagara Falls, Canada so I would be remiss if I didn't include that as the most epic natural spot near me. However, if you want a secret local spot, I highly recommend Webster's Falls (in Hamilton) to everyone. You can stand on the edge of the waterfall, stand underneath the rushing water and bushwack/hike through the forest to your heart's content .. it doesn't get much better. Also if you have never tried "geocaching" you guys should, it's the most fun you can have outdoors :)

  • I live in Chesapeake, Va., which is near Virginia Beach. My favorite place to go is Shenandoah Valley. It's a good distance from where I live, but my family and I use to stay in this small cabin up there. We were about a two minute walk from the Shenandoah River, and me and my dad would spend hours standing out in the river and fishing. There is nothing that puts me more at peace.

  • @4LovingLife Its def pretty over in Shenandoah Valley. I live in Richmond.

  • I'm from east tennessee so ofcourse my choseof hiking places are almost all in Great Smoky Mountians National Park. There's this trail just outside of Cades Cove that leads up to abrahams falls. probably some of the ost amazing water falls you have ever seen and you can swim there. but probably some of my favorite trails are one that dont even have names and you hardly ever see anyone on them.

  • I live in a housing development in the middle of San Antonio, TX, so it's pretty hard to get close to nature, but there's this giant grassy hill near my house that overlooks (of all things) Fiesta Texas, aka, Six Flags. So sometimes I'll walk up to the giant hill with my friends, and we'll roll down it, and listen to people screaming on the roller coasters. It's the most nature I can get sometimes, but it's pretty fun. :)

  • Anacortes and the San Juan Islands in Washington. Insider tip #1 cliff jumping and hiking at Whistle Lake!

  • The one place I know I will never forget is Tamarindo, Costa Rica. My favorite spot was this surfbreak across a river. Me and my sis would paddle our boards across everyday and go surfing. During the rainy season everything turned soooo green and the sky was this awesome stormy color. The mornings were especially beautiful. Purple sunrises and water that looks like glass. That place was surreal. I have to get back there someday.

  • I grew up in St. Joseph, MI and my favorite place to just sit and "be" was at the end of the pier at the top of a really old stone lighthouse thingy. It wasn't really a house, it was a stone tower thing. But, I would only go at night because I could see the lights of Chicago across the lake.

I'm in Madison, WI now and there is this little nook of land looking on Lake Mendota right behind a building on UW's campus that's so serene and peaceful. It's my favorite.

  • Vegas, Red Rock :)

  • duluth, mn - any city park! (or up the north shore of lake superior for that matter.) while on a hike you forget that you're in town, and find comfort and appreciation in the little things and moments while moseying along the trails. each is unique and a treasure in their own right. all in all, just a great escape to wander through the woods.

    polarized > wayfarers... ;)

  • Colorado National Monument Grand Junction, Colorado. Only 3 mins from my house and has the most epic mountain biking trails called the lunch loops.

  • Colorado National Moument. Grand Junction colorado. Only 3 mins from my house and have the most epic mountain biking trails called the lunch loops

  • I live in Port McNicoll, Ontario. Not many people visit unless they come to see the big church we have but my place is there is a native reserve about 30 mins away from where I live call Bala. The drive there is amazing during the fall, the leaves are changing and the colors reflect on the water ways through the highway. But to some it up, you ain't seen nothing like a Canadian Fall.

  • bradgate park, leicester, england :D x

  • Gorgeous view. I live on the beach but we don't have cliffs and rocks (SW FL)

  • im from Australia , n.s.w and the best place is this waterfall in the Rain forest at Pearl Beach

  • and those sunglasses rival Ron's sunglasses in awesomeness! (don't tell Ron!)

  • In Toronto my favorite place to sit and appreciate is either the park in Kensington Market, or Trinity park....both are amazing!

  • La Pared in Luquillo, Puerto Rico. It's an awesome, tranquil beach where you can surf or just chill under the many palm trees but my favorite spot is when you go all the way down to the rocky side of the beach, where all the undergrowth is and if you're there around 6:30 ish', you'll have the best seat for the most beautiful sunset around.

  • the "Blue Hole" is a pretty place near my house, outside of Chattanooga, TN. It's a blue hole in a creek that connects to the TN river. There's cliffs and rocks you can jump off there. It's pretty under the radar.

  • Here on Vancouver Island, the breakwater is the best local place to wander and enjoy the sunset. And after you get all of the salt sea air you can handle, you walk down the hill to the little ice cream shop for a soft serve cone, and if you're lucky to have someone with you, the park's swings behind it are a great place to steal a kiss.

  • St. Louis, Mo, the best place is Eureka at Johns Mtv cribs poolside, fake til you make it to the beach. Its b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l, its behind a ski resort. At night you look at the fake snow and day at the fantastical fake waterfall that flows over the rocks with animals all around. Love to imagine I am somewhere awesome! It's amazing and turkey and deer are everywhere. As for hikes you can go lots of places all over, and cliffs galore,if you find the right spot it's beautiful and amazing.

  • I live in suburban NY, there aren't a whole lot of tourist-free natural areas close by to my house, but I get my one-with-nature kicks by sitting out on my roof late at night. Suburbia has a whole new apeal from above and under the cover of moonlight.

  • @PenInHand24 I agree. It's lovely

  • im from winnipeg manitoba in canada and i love to go to St-Vital park. its so beautiful! it has lots of ducks and geese. also has nice paths to walk in! LOve it there! (also a good place for picnics)

  • @moonbeam353 The name of the beach is Oswald West: Take 26 West out of Portland to 101 south. It's about 10 miles south of Cannon Beach. There's a parking lot on the left side of the road, and you can get to the hiking trail by going under the bridge. Get in your car and go now! It's amaaaazing!

  • Kutztown, Pennsylvania, Hawk Mountain and the Pinnacle.

  • My favorite sopt is the Ocoee River. It's pretty much in my backyard, and I'm there almost everyday. My friends and I hike, and bike, and raft, and swim. It's the most beautiful place! I gladly accept the title of "River Rat" during the summer months! Look it up, it's great here! Love you guys!

  • I live in Orlando, and although the obvious thing to say would be Cocoa beach, or New Smyrna beach.. There is a beach a few miles from Cocoa called Playalinda and it is absolutely PERFECT! It's really secluded and there aren't a million people running drunk all over the place. I love it :)

  • I live in Fairbanks Alaska, so I personally love Angel Rocks, even though I'm sure there are better trails around here that others go to.

  • There's this place my friends and I just call The Hill that's sort of behind a movie theater here.

I've actually only been there once, haha, but it was really nice and supposedly you can see the entire capital from up there and this summer I'm going to watch the sunset from up there.

Not too many times though because it's too far to walk so I need to find a daily sunset / -rise place, haha :)

  • I live in a suburb of Vancouver, B.C. There's this tiny forested ravine close to my house that most people don't really know about. It's chalked full of wildlife! It certainly isn't the most amazing natural spot in greater Vancouver, but it is in my particular 'burb.

  • Scottsbluff National Monument Scottsbluff, Nebraska

  • i'm from a small town in michigan. and there's this place called "the rocks" which actually used to be a cement bridge that collapsed into this creek.

  • Kalamalka lake in BC, Canada :]

  • i live in the lovely little state of new york & my fav. spot near/in a renovated church in the middle ofvGarrison, NY that is always deserted and always open. it even looks out above the hudson river.

being a nature freak, newly fashioned buildings never fit into nature for me. But this church is one of the only places i feel at peace in. the french doors are always wide open facing the river and everything is whitewashed beautiful tones of cream. the best part however is the absolute silence.

  • Forest Park in Portland, OR: Huge trees, the plants all grow on top of each other, and in the winter moss grows over everything. Sometimes all the trails turn to mud and it's so fun to get dirty in the woods. Also- I found heaven on Earth on the Oregon coast. There's a beach where you park your car to hike a mile through the woods along a river where the beach is at the bottom of a cliff with beautiful trees on top. And just in case you weren't already convinced, there's a waterfall too!

  • @IndigoInsight I'm from Portland and love going to the coast - where is this amazing beach you speak of? :)

  • I didn't mean to post that 3 times. Sorry, I don't know how to remove it.

  • I Live in LaSalle, Ontario, Canada. It's a little town outside of Windsor and I have two favourite spots (yes, canadian spellorama on the favoUrite!) . It's a great place to get some exercise and have a TON of fun! I usually take my mountain bike off jumps in there. Second is a small nature reserve that no one really knows about. They have a creek that freezes over in the winter that you can skate on, and a variety of animals to observe in their natural habitat in the summer.

They have a creek that freezes over in the winter that you can skate on, and a variety of animals to observe in the summer, and is all natural habitat.

  • Well, unfortunately, I haven't explored Wisconsin's Wide Open Spaces, so much (on account of going to school 40+ hours a week AND being broke).....

    HOWEVER:

I vacationed in Seattle one summer and the San Juan Islands are a wicked awesome place for hiking and bike riding and all sorts of outdoor-sy fun

If ya'll get a chance, I highly recommend them!

  • I live in Palmdale, CA and my favorite place to hike is called 'Devil's Punch Bowl' and 'Monkey Creek' they actually call it Monkey Creek because there are some ropes for you to hold on to when hiking... now I'm not sure you'll be able to find this place by that name but that's what we, locals, call it.. and it's not right in Palmdale but close enough =]

  • I'm from South Texas, Rockport to be exact. and my favorite spot is at our little beach park there. We have a pier that goes out pretty far and i would walk to the end of it at night with the waves crashing you can see the jellyfish glowing green when they hit the rocks. Coolest thing ever.

  • Im in Oklahoma City and my favorite spot is on my university's lawn. It's the weirdest thing because in the midst of rushing to classes and the times that snow is covering it, I hardly ever pay attention to it. But then when Spring comes around, it's like it transforms into a different place. It's the best on days when I don't have class and I get to sit under the shade of a tree and watch my friends rushing to class from afar. But everything's so spaced out all you can hear are birds and wind.

  • I live in Portland, OR and my favorite place to go hiking - well hello beautiful Columbia River Gorge - is a spot called Rowena Crest outside of Hood River. It's gorgeous. Second favorite nature place -one that is wonderful for critter catching: Oneonta Gorge. In Portland we have a lot of nature and parks. Pier Park (has disc golf course), Mt Tabor, Forest Park (so much hiking), and Sellwood/Oaks Bottom are my favs. Where are you guys in the video? I love the view and the nature! So beautiful!

  • the roof of the elementary school down the street from my house in Montgomery county, MD. it has pebbles on the roof and it's always an adventure trying to find a different way to scale down it. good times :)

  • I live in Utah, and there are so many fun places to go! I like camping and hiking in and around Kamas during the summers. I also frequent Little Cottonwood Canyon. The trees, the mountains, and the rivers are very relaxing. Plus, you can see SO MANY stars at night! :]

  • I'm in Montreal. The best place to hike here in the city is the mountain(Mount Royal). Yes, there is a mountain in the middle of this international city. Actually, the city is built upon and around a mountain... You could go out to the mountains or out to the south shore to go mountain climbing on the mountains out there too ...
