  • Is a Marshall cab? Which model? Tanks!

  • @TheAdrikas 1960AHW cabinet!!!

  • is this a footswitch? 0:40

  • @TheAdrikas Yes, I hit the foot switch at 0:40. thanks for watching

  • thanks for showing the clean sound ... awesome .

  • niiice velvet revolver!

  • @cachetband Thx! I like playing that tune!!!

  • Is this loud enough to play in a punk band without having to mic it?

  • @jka1989 I think this amp is loud enough for a drummer if you are playing with lots of overdrive/distortion. It doesn't have a lot of clean headroom, but when driven, its LOUD!

  • terror riffs lol

  • @thrall93 hehe, yeah, I know, just trying to demo the amp, the playing not so much!!!! Thx for watching!

  • Wow that sounds really good... hows the clean headroom on it? Im not talking super loud cleans, but enoughh to be heard over the drummer unmiced. Thanks for the demo!

  • @SteveAlysis The clean headroom is not great. you will get slight overdrive if you play with a drummer (but probably good enough. The amp sounds best when it overdrive's anway The amp is not as loud as a Vox AC30 clean.

  • Could you use the dual terror with an orange 1x12 cab wih celestion v30?

  • such a cool amp. nice combination with the cab too.

  • Dude, what do you think of your Marshall cab. Can it do hard rock/metal tones OK? Even tough the speakers are lower wattage, the Celestions are equipped with the heavier ceramic magnets. Any thoughts?

  • @5150VanAlien, The marshall Cab is a nice cab (I've sold it since). I've tried that cab with several different amps but found myself preferring my 2x12 Celestion blue cabinet for Vox/dual terror, handwired marshalls (2061x) best because it had more low end than the marshall!!!!! What amp are you playing? For example I have a bad-cat hotcat 100, and it sounded better with the matching 2x12 badcat with aged celestion 30's!

  • Wow ima save up for the tiny terror combo

  • nice. velevet revolver.

  • I use this amp in my band, through a Marshall 1936v cab. My one big criticism of it is that the the clean tones are not that great.. For a start, the volume is fairly laid back until you stand to crank the gain, at which point you bring in the valve distortion. If you play styles that require a strong clean tone, I wouldn't recommend this amp. I play classic rock and blues, and this amp is fantastic for that. The overdrive has bags of character on both channels, and compliments good p/ups.

  • @leslawrenson

In combination with the 1936 cab, does the Tiny terror have enough low end punch? Cause I have played the combo and it sounds too boxy too my ears. This should be better when playing through a 4X12 cab, but what about a 2x12?

  • @Behindspace90

I haven't compared it with other speaker combinations, so I cannot give you the kind of information you're probably looking for. You'd have to go and try them for yourself at a store that has a good range of speakers.

However, I can say that, personally, I love the low end I get when pushing the amp through the 1936v. It's more than sufficient for the type of rock and blues that I play.

  • @leslawrenson I have one and have only played it at rehearsal volume dirty, I think it sounds better with single coils or lower output pickups (I like it better when using my strat) as it cleans up effortlessly rolling back the guitar's volume knob.

That said, the cleans on this thing are the best cleans I've played with in a long time, pretty three dimensional and responds nicely to picking dynamics. Pretty good for a dirt machine, still have to play with it clean at gig volume though.

  • @pepallica As I've been using the amp more and more, I am learning to find all the sweet spots. I've been using the amp with a THD Hotplate attenuator, so that I can push the pre-amp valves harder at lower volumes (as this amp is loud!) and not drown out the drummer. I'm still finding that the cleans are not brilliantly crystalline like a Fender, but since the cleanest I get is for a couple of Hendrix tracks, the sound is more than sufficient. I love this amp for its crunch.

  • @gibbtron This amp has a reasonable amount of clean headroom. I would say you have to crank up the drive a bit to make it loud for a drummer, but still pretty clean (slight overdrive if you hit the strings hard). A Vox AC30 (also 30 watts) has lots more clean headroom than this. Hope this answers your question
