Here is my tip for international shipping... I ship somewhere around 30 packages a day through ebay..... make sure you click or mark that little box that says signatures confirmation.. yeah its gonna cost you an arm and a leg but make the buyer pay a portion of those fee's.. This will ensure both the buyer and seller that the package gets to its desination without question
Thanks for these helpful tips. I had to learn the hard way. Another tip that I would add is to make sure to remove the receipt when you declare a lower value.
I also use viaddress . c o m in case I'm overseas and want to ship something to my address overseas. They can actually repackage the items for you and put them in 1 box. I now use them all the time since their rates are lower than ups and fedex. The only bad thing is that they weigh boxs based on dimensions of the box not the actual weight.
If you're shipping multiple packages write clearly on each package 1of 3 (or however many there is), 2 of 3 , and so forth. Write it as big as you can, you'd be surprised how many people will sign for their delivery and not realize that they should have gotten more than a single box.
This is especially important with DHL, if you must use them, they'll screw up a multiple package shipment every time.
