  • @AiriasasFTW Sort of. You'll whole body's weight is resting on your legs. It shouldn't hurt bad though and you should get use to it real fast.

  • @LegendaryStrength To do a handstand i need to hold myself in frog stand for 60 seconds, what other things you could recomend me to do that i would be able to do handstand? And how long it takes to learn handstand? Ow and one mo question height is 186cm and weight 75kg does it make me more difficul to learn handstand? Thanks for answers :)

  • @AiriasasFTW Headstands, forearm stand and handstand against wall. This is all covered in my Handstand Quick Start DVD. How long really depends on you and how much you practice. Plus I'm taller and heavier then you so you should have no problems.

  • @LegendaryStrength dude i am training to do the planche and the first step is mastering the frog stand,but i head that u must do the frog stand with hands straight or they must bend like ur video?Please help me:?:)

  • @Des3rtEagle Hands straight? Do you mean elbows? That's the difference between a basic frogstand and an advanced one. If you're talking about the hands pointing out to the sides that's fine for this move or planching

  • @skejcik00001 The straight arms version is known as the advanced frog stand and is harder to do.

  • Nice vid. How long do you reckon a person should be able to hold the frog stand before it makes sense to attempt the next progression?

    I started doing this a couple of days back and can hold it for approx 30 seconds so long as I don't slip. Hopefuly soon I'll be able to hold a minute or so, then can I progress?

  • @WSWarthog 60 seconds for each of the lead-up stunts is my general recommendation.

  • Hey let me aski you something. I hit the gym every day(casual one muscle group every day). I like frog stands and handstand training like hell. After which muscle group do you recommend that I do hand stand training/frog stands?

  • @leonardosbavas If you think of your body in terms of isolating muscle groups you can't do hand balancing as its full body. Ideally do them everyday.

  • it seems that i am stuck... a few(2) months ago i can balance for about 5 sec now i can only balance for about 2 sec! i wasn't balancing for the past 2 months, is that the cause of the decrease in the time?

  • yeah, you need a ponytail to do this. the ponytail helps you to balance the same way a tail help cats balance when they run and jump.

  • @shoegazer666 Yeah, man. Tell me about it. Felt like I was going to smash my face to the ground. My technique is faulty everywhere.

  • i learnt this in gymnastics years and years ago and now i can handstand for minutes on end, and can hold the handstand without moving for bout a minute, this technique really does help, just get used to using your fingers and palm to as he said over and under balance

  • ok im fifteen, i have been doing handstands since i was like six, i learned how to do those before this but i am going to do this so i can have better balance and stay uo longer. i can do about 2 vertical pushups without losing balance or a wall, so really u can learn handstands before frogstand. :)

  • your knees needs to be BEHIND your elbows not NEXT to em, try that and see how "easy" it is

  • Actually, I'm just now learning to do this (the longest I can balance is 15 seconds), and while putting my knees behind my elbows does require more strength, I find it a lot easier to balance. If I have them beside my elbows, I tend to fall backwards with no way to lean forward again before my toes touch the ground.
