Latin Playboys are: David Hidalgo and Louie Perez from Los Lobos; Tchad Blake (engineer and producer) and Mitchell Froom (producer). They have engineered and/or produced several of Los Lobos' albums. Cougar Estrada was hired as a touring drummer for Latin Playboys, and he now tours with Los Lobos.
That would be Lisa Germano on violin (La Kitty Cat, as David H. once referred to her), as well as the previously recognized Cougar Estrada on drums. I was quite privileged to catch the LPs live taping of NPR's "Mountain Stage" four days before this performance. They seriously kicked ass.
I've been itching to see this performed live; thank you SO MUCH for posting! Who is the woman playing violin with the LP? And is that a baby-faced Cougar back there on the drum kit?
David is by far my favorite musician ever.

One of my all-time favorite songs from any band. Thanks for posting this.
I can't believe it's already been 10 years since this album was released. Geez...time sure does fly.
