@Anthony123999 It's too complicated of a system for a lever to amke any difference whatsoever. Try it if you don't believe me. For a lever to make any different the fort would have to be made of sand and the lever would have to give out two different operation signals depending on whether it is on or off. It's impossible to make this kind of system (pistons are damn awkward when it comes to this kinda stuff) that simply retracts everything it's done once it's turned off.

the fact that when you pulled the switch the other way, the wall would retract. i'm not sure if this is possible with the physics of redstone, but it's my guess.

this will make it look ugly depending on the environment that its in but say its in a desert: use a switch instead of a button and sand instead of cobble, so when you flip the switch once it will go up and flip it again to go down. but if you have done your redstone wiring and pistons differently from how i imagine that you have this may not work.
