I think it would be interesting to have a similar game but with the Imperial Guards (though to be fair, the character(s) would have be be way above the average grunts. Storm Trooper, veterans or even a Penal Legionary would make it an interesting game).

this is interesting though. The guardsmen at 1:13: something or soon after says "my lord" to the space marine. Often we arnt privy to just how your average rank N file guard would act around a marine. But Its beliveable to think they'd treat the space marines as nobility. of the highest type.
@kurlobe You should compare this to hey they treat them in the novels, the contrast is stark. Some of them treat the SM with a sort of bitter distrust.
Whats pretty unrealistic is that the first option shown here against an xeno invasion is "Exterminatus". This is pretty unrealistic as Option Nr. 1, as an Exterminatus of an Imperial World is only conducted by the Inqisition and second; The Exterminatus is the LAST OPTION, not the first... what about calling the Imperial Gurad & Fleet??? ^^

I liked the video at the beginning but after watching it all and seeing you only ever doing the same 3 melee attacks (never using interupt attacks), only ever doing one finisher and simply jumping on things when you got the jetpack I got bored of how you played.

Either your planet was forgotten about in the computers, in which case you are on your own, or they rememeber and glass your planet with you and everyone else still on it, just to save time and move on to the next planet.

The Daemon Prince is the worst boss fight ever...When i saw Nemeroth transform into a DP i was like: OMG OMG OMG SO COOL!!!! Then i saw Titus run into him , drop them both from the building and then what? Slap a Daemon Prince to death yey! The Grots had a more honorable death than Nemeroth for Gods shake! A Daemon Prince is a demigod damn it!
I would forgive them for the boss fights since the campaign experience was a great adventure indeed and honestly it made me change the way i see ultramarines. But then its the multiplayer...i pre-ordered the game to play MP and i even joined a major guild , Vigilia Mortis. And then the game came out and it was a p2p lagshit with borring gameplay , limited content and stages that had absolutely no WH40K atmosphere. Wtf SMs vs CSMs fighting in the sewers? -_- They make great WH40k RTS games though

@PhantomRaider100 Only those who are tainted can be unscathed from the true powers of the warp...remember he survived two massive warp explosions...you are right it should be but the inquisition doesn't want to believe in that so...the inquisition is like the second hand of the emperor that is able to command almost anybody...they are daemon hunters and they love to fuck people over...play Dawn of war 1 and you will find out that they think everybody is tainted...
Technically, That Inquisitor at the end has no authority for Titus to submit to, The Space Marines are subordinate only to the Emperor himself, and the Grey Knights would of looked better than Black Templars IMO.

@fozkoppe Space marine power armor does not contain an energy field and its very protective againt most small arms weaponry in the galaxy, they put a halo style shield for the sake of gameplay. And its not metal armor its called ceremite.

I thought the inquisition had no power on adeptus astartes. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the chapter librarian is the one that asseses warp corruption not the inquisition and if the space marine had been tainted that his mind gets wiped and he starts again.

It's just whether or not you're actually dedicated enough to become familiar, work your way up, and get that opportunity. I presume that it seemed to work out that way from the 'Killsquad' game which leads into 'Space Marine'. Initially the marines are there to recapture the Manufactorium from the orks, which they were on track to doing before the plot changes.
So we left the liberation fleet in the hands of the blood ravens? hahaha I bet once they finish the job the blood ravens will be leaving with alot of new leman russ tanks.
at the end, when that inquisitor turned up, those black templars bodugurds where the worst possible pick among so many other space marine chapter. Everyone knows that the Black templars do not get along with the inquisition.
@DwarfyDoodad No they are not Death watch. If they where they would have their left shoulder plates replaced to bear the Death Watch symbols. Instead you can see the white cross of the black templars.

In my opinion, the Inquisitor at the end of the campaign appears to be relatively benevolent (for an inquisitor) and does not honestly think Titus has been tainted by the ruinous powers.
The Inquisitor uses the threat of damning his comrades to the Inquisition's wrath as a threat against him, but if the Inquisitor honestly thought him tainted, it would be standard procedure to bring in his comrades and every ultramarine under his command anyway.
@phocjame Inquisitors come in all shapes, and sizes. Might I suggest actually reading some of the black library titles. Start with the Eisenhorn Trilogy by the sci fi genius Dan Abnett. Really good books.
Perhaps he is avatar of the Emperor ;) even in coma he can has some consciousness :P

@Bangcat I wouldn't correlate being a joblessness to that kind of behavior. I mean, technically, yeah, we ALL think we can do something better than someone else. It's just whether or not you're actually dedicated enough to become familiar, work your way up, and get that opportunity. Usually, during that time, you see things from the point of view of the person in charge.
Not to mention, sometimes leaders do deserve to be usurped (Chapter Master Kyras).

I presume that it seemed to work out that way from the 'Killsquad' game which leads into 'Space Marine'. Initially the marines are there to recapture the Manufactorium from the orks, which they were on track to doing before the plot changes.

In my opinion, the Inquisitor at the end of the campaign appears to be relatively benevolent (for an inquisitor) and does not honestly think Titus has been tainted by the ruinous powers.
The Inquisitor uses the threat of damning his comrades to the Inquisition's wrath as a threat against him, but if the Inquisitor honestly thought him tainted, it would be standard procedure to bring in his comrades and every ultramarine under his command anyway.
I think this mean a SM2 might be on the way.

@phocjame Inquisitors come in all shapes, and sizes. Might I suggest actually reading some of the black library titles. Start with the Eisenhorn Trilogy by the sci fi genius Dan Abnett. Really good books.
